How About Marcus Mariota Taking Over for Russell Wilson?
It would be a good fit for the Seahawks and Marcus...the added bonus would be Husky fans would lose their minds 😄

Three Questions Lanning Must Answer This Spring
Don't count out Butterfield yet. If Dillingham is going to run a more pro-style offense, why wouldn't the only pro-style QB on Oregon's roster have a decent shot? Just saying he could be a dark horse contender come this Fall.

Add Jayden Wayne to the List
Maybe! Though when I was 17 I was all about pizza too...probably the reason why I didn't make it to being a pro tennis player 😛 lol

Add Jayden Wayne to the List
Oh definitely 😄 I'm just staying a 33% successful sign rate on high 4* and 5* visitors is a number I can live with!

Add Jayden Wayne to the List
If Lanning signs any 2 from that list it would be a huge win.

I wonder if he's moving onto a bigger paper or maybe run his podcast full time?

WSU Could be a Problem in 2022
This is a very interesting situation. For both teams, assuming Ward starts for WSU and Nix for Oregon...offenses will be headed by transfer QBs and new OCs who are already familiar with their respective signal callers.

Oh man I hope he's ok.

80 Plays Per Game is More Than an Offensive Goal
I'm not married to that number...I care more about the offense being more balanced, creative, and efficient. If it's moving the chains with cold, calculated precision that demoralizes the other team over 3 quarters then I'm good with that.

We NEED THIS: 5-Star Defensive Lineman Locks in Visit
I'm genuinely excited about this visit. DL is one place where Oregon has not traditionally and consistently recruited well (KT not withstanding). I'd be through the moon if the Ducks could pull in a high 4-star or 5-star DT though...

Lanning Got It Right: Adding Nix Was the RIGHT Move
I don't think Lanning really had a choice in the matter. Pre-Nix there was virtually no in-game experience in the QB room after Brown graduated...add to that the now obvious revelation that QB development wasn't much of a focus during Cristobal's time and you have a precarious situation for the offense.

Singin' the Transfer Portal Blues
Could be another Gardner Minshew scenario.

Oregon Football 2022: Your Offensive and Defensive Goals?
35+ ppg on offense with balance in the running and passing games. 18-20 ppg on defense with lots of pressure on the QB. Most important above all is consistency. If the games are close with legit opponents, that's fine but curb stomp lesser competition like they should. I think given all the moving parts in a transition season the ceiling is a PAC12 championship. CFP is a possibility the season after.

BREAKING: UCLA WR - Chase Cota - Coming Home to Oregon
While I'm glad he's finishing his career at Oregon, I'm not head over heels excited. He's proven to have a limited ceiling and has similar stats as Brendan Schooner... he'll be a veteran presence to maybe teach the younger some things but I don't expect him to start or put up any record breaking numbers.

A Defense of Helfrich’s Recruiting Legacy
David brings up a great point about the old Oregon regime, they literally aged out due to the rise of technology (social media). That put younger and/or more adaptable coaches who were more hip to the new communication game at a huge advantage. This also contributed to Oregon having better recruiting classes later on as that tech makes the world feel much smaller, allowing recruits feel more comfortable about flying across the country to a place like Eugene.

Are Ginormous Defensive Linemen an Absolute Necessity?
Aaron Donald is a special player, not many like him. Really big defensive linemen also need to be mobile. Otherwise they become a liability against dynamic/fast-paced offenses, of which there are plenty nowadays.
