  1. If Dante and Richard are having fun singing and dancing to "Shout" in a small group then they need to stand in a packed Auzten and watch thousands of fans do it, it'll blow their minds!
  2. It feels like Oregon's pulling out all the stops for Moore now, hope they land him!
  3. It's far easier to hold onto commitments than to pull them away from other programs...so commitments mean a lot.
  4. Better than having prospects walking around in damp grey weather!
  5. So many Mannings, they all look the same to me lol
  6. Thanks for the article and welcome! I had a gut feeling that Jay was flying a bit under the radar and it showed in the Spring game, I thought he was really solid and edged out TT for QB2. I share Wrathis' opinion that Butters has a somewhat lower ceiling but a higher floor than TT, primarily because I think he's just more polished coming from a football family growing up.
  7. 5-star QB and No. 1 recruit in the country Arch Manning commits to Texas WWW.YAHOO.COM The nephew of Peyton and Eli is heading to Austin. He chose the Longhorns over Georgia and Alabama. The biggest QB domino has finally fallen, this means the remaining uncommitted QBs (particularly Dante Moore) will likely have more attention paid to them.
  8. I feel like Lanning's ceiling may be higher than Riley's. We've already seen how much Lincoln struggles against elite defensive coaches (see Dave Aranda and losses to Baylor). It's going to be very interesting to see DL grow as a HC over the next 3-4 years
  9. That's such a general purpose word that I doubt it would stand up in court should another school contest Ohio State's "sole" use of it. What a waste of school money.
  10. He actually had both ACL and knee injuries simultaneously at the end, which severely compromised his ability to compete in the NFL. Really unfortunate as I had no doubt he would've been a starter for a pro team somewhere....at least his family had taken out insurance for him and was able to get at least some money for the loss of career he should've had.
  11. The June recruiting push is already starting to bear fruit. Caleb Presley (per 247) is the #9 CB, #78 player over, and #2 player in Washington. Oregon Recruiting: Ducks become heavy favorite to land Caleb Presley DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM After landing Washington’s No. 1 player — Josh Conerly — in 2022, Oregon is now predicted to land the No. 2 player in Washington in 2023. Landing him would be pretty sweet, he's a very high end blue chip and would also antagonize the Huskie fanbase even further. Best case scenario is also landing Jayden Wayne who's the #1 player in the state...incidentally things are looking good for the Ducks with him as well!
  12. Would've been nice to get him but it is what it is. Ducks are already pretty deep at TE anyway.
  13. To me, priority would be Dante Moore then any one of the other 5* guys. Two 5* along with the other blue chips that make up 50% of the recruiting class would be a very successful year. I like Avery Johnson but he would likely need more time to develop than Dante would.
  14. I was a bit surprised at this, particularly at the sudden last-minute aspect of it. But to each their own and Oregon has more than a few high blue chip offensively linemen visiting. I hope it's going well this weekend so far for Oregon!
  15. Oregon Recruiting: 5-star OT Kadyn Proctor cancels visit to Oregon DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Tough break for the Ducks. 5-star OT Kadyn Proctor canceled his OV to Oregon and took the Ducks out of his...
  16. Crossing my fingers that the LB group can stay healthy, particularly Flowe.
  17. Reading on various articles that observed his performance at the OT7 event, all of them very positive, it sounds like perhaps at the very least he's a top 5 receiver in the 2023 class. Thompson, Butterfield, and our future 2023 QB recruit should be drooling at the prospect of dropping bombs to this guy!
  18. All that academic "prowess" sure doesn't help them one lick on the field. Just sayin'.
  19. The next couple weekends are going to be insane for recruiting, I can't recall a time where more 4 and 5 star players were bussed in at once!
  20. I'm fascinated to see how Sean Dollars turns out. He's shown flashes of being a dynamic runner in the few plays we've seen but his health had been an obstacle, I feel like he's got the right chops to be an impact player this coming season.
  21. Same here. Hopefully Dillingham teaches him some extra discipline and patience. My gut tells me that he's an above-average college QB at his best, which if you pair with good defense and special teams, is enough to win a Pac12 title.
  22. I am, of course, excited about the Oregon's potential for the upcoming season. I'm also a realist at heart and understand that a tremendous number of things would have to go the exact right way for our Ducks to get to the CFP in Lanning's first season. My expectation for a successful first year under DL: 10+ wins Offense is balanced, consistent, and averages >=38 ppg Defense averages <= 20 ppg Pac-12 championship appearance Wins respective bowl game 2023 recruiting class within the top 15
  23. I agree with you that Georgia last year proved that you can still win it all with primarily defense within the offensive-oriented landscape nowadays. That being said, I think that's a tougher road to travel and that teams with both great offense and great defense generally win out more often than a team with a mediocre offense and spectacular defense. Georgia's defensive personnel last season was ridiculously stacked with NFL 1st and 2nd rounders and I think rather out of the norm, even for top 5 teams.
  24. Given that lately it seems like our Ducks are fading in pursuit of Jaden Rashada, this is very good news for Oregon (at the moment). College football recruiting: Oregon a team to watch for 2023 5-star QB Dante Moore 247SPORTS.COM ...
