  1. Exactly. Whoever listed the Georgia game location as "neutral" is seriously smoking something. The BYU game will also be tough, it's not inconceivable that Oregon starts 1-2 going into Pac-12 play.
  2. I think this is overly optimistic. Dan Lanning and the coaching staff he's put together are young and hungry so I have no doubt they will make Oregon competitive but it's a sea of change going on...new offensive/defensive schemes, new QB (whomever wins QB1), young WR room, etc. Plus on top of that they have to play Georgia the very first game of the upcoming season. If they're able to create a 9 or 10 win season I would consider that an enormous success for year one.
  3. Oregon can certainly use the depth at CB. Only concern I have is that he's rather undersized at 5'10".
  4. Well this is a very interesting development. Taki Taimani is a 6'2" 330 lb DT with starting experience. More size up front is never a bad thing. Of course Huskies fans lost it when he put up that Twitter pic.
  5. Yeah I thought Walk did better at C as well. Remember all those horrible snaps Lockie had to deal with in the 2nd half of the TCU Alamo Bowl? As if it weren't hard enough for him...
  6. Not disparaging Moore but I viewed him as the least talented of the starting group. He did much better when he was moved to the interior.
  7. I certainly hope not. Graham seems like a really damaged, angry person and we haven't seen any rumors of similar behavior from Lanning and Dillingham out of their respective careers so far. That being said, the Oregon staff do have the advantage of youth which often is accompanied by the capacity or enthusiasm to learn and change.
  8. Gotta give Cincy's defense credit, they came to play and it showed. Unfortunately for them the offense got smashed by a good SEC defense.
  9. I also might be in the minority in saying Butterfield would be a better choice. He's the only pro-style QB Oregon has. Given the fact that there's a lot of talent in the RB room, the QB needing the ability to to run becomes secondary. He just needs the ability to scramble for 10 yards on occasion to keep the defense guessing. I'd rather have a QB who can throw the rock and occasionally run than vice versa. Justin Herbert was such a player.
  10. Nice of the offense to finally wake up but it's far too little, far too late.
  11. To be fair, not a lot of teams out there like Alabama.
  12. Finally gets a couple solid completions. Why? His feet were set when he made the throws.
  13. I like Hutson and Crocker, they're gamers.
  14. You could make an argument that AB deserved to start the Alamo Bowl, now we've seen that he doesn't deserve to finish it. I'd actually like to see Butterfield play the 2nd half. He's the only pro-style QB on the team, I want to see what he would do to boost the passing game.
  15. They're being hamstrung by a horrible offense, I'd be in a bad mood too if I were them.
  16. I don't think it is. That's a reflection of the actual player development that has happened under Cristobal/Mirabal.
  17. Every time there's even a modicum of rhythm by the offense a penalty ruins it.
  18. Troy Franklin didn't even TRY to catch that pass. Wow.
  19. OU is figuring out how to attack the thin DB group. It's now or never for the offense to figure it out.
  20. You can tell AB is getting antsy to make something happen. When he dies that, he rushes things and doesn't set his feet resulting in those low passes. Ugh.
  21. Defense is doing fine, the offense still needs to clean up silly mistakes.
  22. I think that's been established for a while.
  23. Same story, the offense just can't get out of its own way...
  24. OU is missing 4 of their front 7, ride Dye and Cardwell the entire game. Best chance for a win.
  25. That pass was only slightly behind Thornton, right on the shoulder. That was definitely catchable and is on the receiver.
