Oregon in the Driver's Seat for Dante Moore
I agree with you that Georgia last year proved that you can still win it all with primarily defense within the offensive-oriented landscape nowadays. That being said, I think that's a tougher road to travel and that teams with both great offense and great defense generally win out more often than a team with a mediocre offense and spectacular defense. Georgia's defensive personnel last season was ridiculously stacked with NFL 1st and 2nd rounders and I think rather out of the norm, even for top 5 teams.

Oregon in the Driver's Seat for Dante Moore
Given that lately it seems like our Ducks are fading in pursuit of Jaden Rashada, this is very good news for Oregon (at the moment). College football recruiting: Oregon a team to watch for 2023 5-star QB Dante Moore 247SPORTS.COM ...

Is Bo Nix Winning the Heisman a Total Pipe Dream?
You never know. Joe Burrow had that monster season once the right offense was put around him, before that he was relatively average.

Bo Nix’s Picks: Can You Live With Them?
Yeah I had to hold my nose as well but I limit it to just the questionable decision-making tendencies that seem to parallel the two. If Dillingham can get Nix to reduce his mistakes and think a little more clearly, he'll do well running the offense.

All-Bang-the-Drum Team for Pac-12
I'm also in agreement about Cota. He showed in the Spring game that his career at UCLA is not reflective of his actual talent, it feels like he just wasn't a good fit for their offense or just wasn't utilized properly. He'll be very interesting to watch under Dillingham's playcalling!

Bo Nix’s Picks: Can You Live With Them?
I was thinking about this the other day and one former Pac-12 QB came to mind that I feel has some legit comparison with Nix... Jake Browning College Stats | College Football at Sports-Reference.com WWW.SPORTS-REFERENCE.COM - Washington (QB) Yup, Jake Browning. I considered him an above-average college QB who could competently run the offense and make most throws but he had a consistent issue of panicking when under pressure, attempting ill-advised plays when being chased by the defense. He did that at least a few times when playing Oregon. If Nix could perform at a similar above-average level while reducing the amount of puzzling bad plays to just a handful, then Oregon had a good shot at winning the Pac12 champion and perhaps even sneak into the CFP.

Ducks Winners in the Transfer Portal
Last I checked Jayson Jones easily weighed 330, giving him both the reach and the heft. I thought that kind of size would have done well on Georgia's DL.

Ducks Winners in the Transfer Portal
Jayson Jones. Enormous DT and would have fit in very well with Dan Lanning's defensive philosophy.

I don't know if they're a package deal, though I would think that would factor in at least a little bit.

The Next Great Oregon QB?
Kid would have to add about 30 lbs to survive in the college ranks....not impossible but a tall ask for someone who's listed at only 6'2" (and is likely an inch shorter than that)

What If Vernon Adams Didn’t Break His Finger in 2015?
True, though my gut tells me that if he hadn't gotten injured and led Oregon to at minimum a Rose Bowl win then at least 1 or 2 NFL teams would have taken a flier at him in the later rounds of the draft. If Russell Wilson hadn't transferred to Wisconsin and had all that success there, he wouldn't have been drafted in the 3rd round (or maybe not at all).

What If Vernon Adams Didn’t Break His Finger in 2015?
My thoughts on the floor and ceiling for Oregon if VA hadn't gotten injured pretty much line up with David's article. The worst result would have been a Pac12 championship and a possible Rose Bowl win. Best result a CFP appearance but a loss given how atrocious the defense was.

You'll notice that Fischer doesn't explicitly deny knowing exactly how much A&M's NIL collective has and whether he uses that in his recruiting.
