  1. The fact they know we exist shows how much we’ve risen and they’ve fallen. They’re aware of the age of our CB’s? I couldn’t name a single player on the USC D.
  2. In defense of 🤡, if they can even get whiff of Stein that would be the best hire possible for them for so many obvious reasons. Reality check, high end P2 coordinators don’t typically leave for G6 programs, especially in 2025…would be completely insane given the current demand.
  3. The delusional and willing ignorance continues. I actually saw a conversation on one of their sites where someone said, “hard pass” concerning Stein. He’s not up to snuff ya know .
  4. Silly. A team (🤔) that went 2-7 against opponents they were on par with or exceeded for spending per player on their roster, yet still manage to keep choking, THAT is fragile. Fragile teams don’t win on the road.
  5. Exactly. If for some reason we decided to leave the B1G, they seem to think that there would be some requirement to re-join the PAC, and they’d hold the keys to the kingdom. Uh no, that’s not actually a rule. We’d just start a new entity. And anyone that claims they know the ACC is imploding is just making things up imo. There’s way more brand depth in that conference than the B12 has…it might get watered down by 4 teams, but those other teams need to play somewhere, and that somewhere is not the new PAC.
  6. Exhibit A of why only 3 P4 teams had less than 2 losses in last years’s bracket. Long season.
  7. Think we root for getting as highly ranked as possible imo. TAM currently down big. Go team chaos.
  8. A bit of a reality check for Beavis that might fly under the radar. James Franklin is the leading candidate at VaTech as of today. That is probably a program Beavis would have considered themselves (incorrectly) better than 3 years ago. Franklin wouldn’t even give them a whiff now.
  9. Good thing…I was running out of emails for free trial accounts with Fubo 😆
  10. I mean, the team will never aim to not win the conference, that’s not how college sports work…but we saw rust versus rest on full display last year.
  11. That they were. The 1 year rental team (2000) before the portal even existed. We’ll never know. They certainly seemed very good but that was a weird year for the PAC. Only OBD, UW, and Beavis had more than 6 wins overall that season. Beavis only beat two teams that ended up ranked after the bowls. 12 team playoff would have been amazing that year.
  12. Yep, given the track record, I prefer a 5-8 seed for sure
  13. Given the relative fair number of top-end losses the SEC has out of conference in 2025, it gets a bit more hypocritical than usual. If Georgia loses to GaTech we’d have Georgia, Alabama, and Texas all having OOC losses. Given how these teams have dominated in the SEC, one could argue the SEC is a top-heavy conference dominated by unproven teams that didn’t dominate out of conference. Oh, throw in WSU taking Ole Miss to the wire, the same Cougs that lost to Beavis. How is this the clear-cut best conference in 2025?
  14. Indeed. It’s amazing how timing and recency of your loss skews things, but it makes sense to some degree really. The collective CFB mind glosses over that Alabama lost to a terrible FSU team…that did actually happen, much as it might strain the brain of the SEC general fervor to recall. The team that is currently undefeated in the SEC with 3 weeks to go, lost to the team currently in 15th in the ACC…by 14.
  15. Pardon my French, but 🤡 is such a knob. Gaslighting pranks feeding into victimhood. He’s hitched his wagon to the new PAC and should be trying to pivot. IMO, the PAC was dying a slow death as soon as it didn’t scoop up Texas and Oklahoma to expand, we just didn’t fully realize it until the last media deal expired.
  16. Pro market, have to be relevant to get peoples attention no matter where you play. That being said, it’d be an upgrade for fan access and probably for recruiting. Does make me think back to the 80s when people thought doming Autzen was the answer.
  17. Completely believe this. At some level a newb coming in from the PAC and winning at everything is somewhat embarrassing.
  18. Is Smith a desirable hire for anyone looking in the P4? He’s tanking pretty hard and on at least a warm-seat. 0-6 in conference and giving up almost double what they’ve scored (in conference) doesn’t exactly scream “lure me away.”
  19. AP voters always just look at the actual official playoff rankings once they hit, I’m surprised we aren’t 9th.
  20. 💯 I too am baffled. Making the playoff and losing in the first round is better than any other non-playoff scenario imo. Anything can happen in a tournament and being able to say “we’ve made the playoff every year” would be something very few programs will be able to say to recruits. Certainly better than talking about losing the Frosted Flakes Bowl.
  21. Love your hot takes, but I would guess if MSU opens up, it’s because JS gets fired. He feels a bit damaged to me. I like your OC suggestions, I’m not particularly attached to Stein personally. What is it, year 2? Pppht. There will be absolute recruiting carnage once the coaching dominos start to fall. We could lose a few if Stein goes, but there will be a TON out there to be had.
  22. Absolutely agree. Just because we’re doing what is best for us in 2025, it doesn’t mean it gets my juices flowing. Most of the B1G conference schedule is a slog, and with the size of the conference and the way the schedule rotates, it would take 25 years before I had a chance of caring about Rutgers, etc. This is all essentially USC, UCLA, Cal, and to a lesser degree ASU & UW’s fault imo. Those should all be great brands, but they greatly underperformed the last 15 years overall, which was absolutely fatal for the PAC. Don’t even get me started on CU, they joined and promptly became irrelevant.
