  1. Fun side note, take a hard look at TAM schedule. Obviously they can’t control which conference teams flame out, but: 4 conference wins against teams that fired their coach mid-season. 2 conference wins against MSU and USC 1 great 1 point win over ND 1 good win against Missouri 3 cupcake home wins 1 loss to Texas Doesn’t exactly strike fear in the heart, and doesn’t make me want to give Texas a whole lot of credit for that win.
  2. Zero complaints here. Walking wounded, end of November double digit victory against a solid version of our rival on the road? Yes please.
  3. All that being said, I have a hard time imagining a top-4 that isn’t some combo of tOSU, Indiana, SEC winner, B12 winner. The committee will probably position BYU to leap us if they finish as a 1 loss P4 conference champ.
  4. There is a path that only involves us playing 3 more games and winning a title, which is crazy if you think about it. There will absolutely be at least one SEC in the top-4 imo, I have no doubt. So for this scenario to happen it is probably more likely with Georgia staying put and smacking Alabama down. I think given where the ACC is at, it’s pretty safe to say Indiana and tOSU stay in the top-4. The real key is Texas Tech imo. If they lose, and Lane is gone to LSU, someone has to be at 4, and it would probably be us at that point. That being said, I’ll be shocked if Tech loses. They’re legit and I think BYU is solid, but not really on the same level. Nothing we can do about it at this point but embrace the chaos.
  5. Has he ever called a play in a game?
  6. And it’s ridiculous imo, USC has never struggled to attract talent. They have a coach and culture that doesn’t care about defense, that won’t change.
  7. How much did Beavis pay their great QB this year? UCLA? You still have to be good at it…it’s just a different level of strategy.
  8. They’re running out of dudes, I think Fisch may be in play at multiple places.
  9. Cute they think there’s a P5
  10. On another front, I think I pieced together that Beavis’ new coach has never been responsible for calling plays at the college level. Pretty weird if you think about it.
  11. My tea leafs indicate it is between those two almost for sure. Important to remember there are also other suitors for both of them, including PSU and either Ole Miss or LSU depending on how Lane breaks. Fisch being distracted at the very least 😂
  12. My review is we have another year where we improve enough to have 12+ losses and be a bubble team that might win in the round of 64. Salty? Yep. But lobbing it into Ewing just doesn’t work anymore imo.
  13. Anything to mitigate the beauty contest that still exists. If there was a “perfect” way to get to 8, it would probably be enough, but there isn’t.
  14. Beavis hired a guy that may have been fired if he stayed and Alabama lost the Iron Bowl…and might have been on the chopping block anyways. Funny how much they once again try to copy us but can’t quite get it right. Saban adjacent does not equal Saban tree.
  15. Increased hand wringing in Seattle
  16. JS was 7-17 his first two years at Beavis in what I would say was a more favorable situation (at that time), then he faces now. Beavis went 4-5 in conference his second year which was apparently good enough for 2nd place in the north. He was 34-35 overall at Beavis, and a not so great 24-31 if you throw out the one year they won the Vegas Bowl. Before the vacated wins, he was at 8-15 to date in year 2 at MSU. Pattern? Beavis really tried to pump themselves up as a big time program (as one would expect) as the conference crumbled, but it really was the same pattern of the last 30 years. One legitimate PAC contending team every 10 years or so. Not exactly great numbers.
  17. Impossible for that many G6 teams to make noise, especially from the same conference…but I admire your enthusiasm.
  18. I never thought of him as a Beavis honk as much as a driving narrative to preserve himself honk. My lack of regard stems from how frequently he’s just flat out wrong with his “scoops”. I swear I have better connections than he does.
  19. Wilcox has had a very solid D most of his time at Cal with pretty mediocre talent overall. He really had their D humming at an elite level, then cratered in the immediate post-pandemic world, but had built it back up. In the 2024 season, the Cal defense ranked 14th in scoring defense, 2nd in turnover margin, and 23rd in sacks nationally during the season. At Cal! Now he wasn’t DC, but it’s clearly his trademark. I think he’d be an upgrade personally.
  20. For me, we’ve been mostly borderline unwatchable since 2020, we just don’t play a modern brand of basketball imo. My expectation every season, was/is/and continues to be 12+ losses and being on the bubble. I’ll continue to watch, but we don’t seem to be very serious about basketball overall. If we’re cool with the above, it is what it is. Love me some historic Dana, but I’m not sure about 2025 Dana if we want to ever actually pursue a title.
  21. Funny how becoming DC for OBD could make it wane.
  22. I’ve heard that’s a no.
  23. Cascade Clash is even better than “they” realize: In the folklore of the area's Indigenous peoples, Mt. Rainier and Mt. Hood are cast in significant roles within myths about Mt. St. Helens. One common legend describes the three mountains as being involved in a love triangle, where the two warriors (Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams) fought over the beautiful maiden Loowit (Mt. St. Helens). Another tale from the Cowlitz tribe tells of Mt. St. Helens (Lavelatla) becoming jealous of Mt. Rainier (Tahoma) and knocking off its head.
  24. I’m with you. Just pointing out there are some pretty big pluses in the macro if we somehow make the conference title game. I’m personally not in accounting with the athletic department, so windfalls don’t really get me anything selfishly. The path with a home game is probably the easier path with the current format, so that is 💯 what I want!
