  1. It will be Madness like never before, definitely agree about the Final Four, Clemson just finished stomping North Carolina, 2 days after beating Duke. Kansas is 16-7. UCLA got to the Final Four a couple of years ago, starting with a Play-in game. The Final Four could have no No.1's or be chalk. But the 4-13 match-ups won't be easy wins.
  2. No doubt the move to the B1G hit basketball a lot harder than it did football. Not only the different style, but clearly the scheduling, games on Tuesday. Wednesday, then on Sunday, much different than the game on Friday and Sunday. I don't know if they were really a No.10 team early, the shots went in, they were able to come from behind. The shotmaking definitely had them playing better, but if a team like Alabama is going to lose to an Oregon, it will be on a neutral court and early. I think the wins blotted out the deficiencies and gave the team the thought they were better than they really were. Responding to the UCLA L was promising, but then Illinois happened. The Ducks are a bubble team.
  3. Yay, Emma, another great catcher! for the Lady Ducks! One of my all time favorite Ducks...Janelle Lindvall, Catcher 2013-16 SIDEARM Integrations GODUCKS.COM Janelle Lindvall (26) Catcher - CAREER STATS NATIONAL TEAM Played on the USA women's national team in the summer of...
  4. A little late to say this now, But Oregon never looked like a top 10 team, a 3 or 4 seed, but there they were. If OBD had been 11-7 instead of 15-3, probably would be seeing this season differently. 16-7 is a good record for this team. They have obvious flaws, ironically one of the biggest was starting off so well. This is when Altman's teams "find it" and go on a run. I don't know if this team will be able to do that, it has 7 games left to find out.
  5. Smith leaving still stings, it was blatantly for money, Texas gave him more $$$ that Oregon was going to, and several players went with him, I will always want Texas to lose. Lombardi struggled early just getting a team and has now got one that looks to be headed toward great success. "The Jane" rocked during the great softball years, several of the players are all time faves. Go Ducks!
  6. Auburn does still have the best record, so perhaps the voters aren't overreacting? Duke did drop from 2 to 3. UConn dropped completely out of the poll, as did Illinois, who peaked with their blowout over OBD.
  7. It's great that the Ducks can look to bring in either a WR or RB coach depending on which hat Samples wears next season, the two SEC coaches at the top of the list in the DucksWire article jump out to me.
  8. The scores did end up being similar, and both had the game appear to be closer, still 3 touchdowns' apart, than they actually were. The physicality was so overwhelming by the Buckeyes and Eagles that the game was over by the middle of the 1st quarter. I feel that in both games the winners looked like the best versions of themselves, the losers were unrecognizable.
  9. And now the scores are going to be practically identical.
  10. Okay, next year, Super Bowl 60, Detroit Lions- Buffalo Bills.
  11. Well, time for the greatest comeback in SB history?
  12. The biggest SB blowout is 49ers 55 Bill 10, No.2 is Bears 46 Patriots 10.
  13. The Chiefs were going for the first ever 3-peat, maybe they'll end up being the first team to be shut out.
  14. Oregon is 16-7, Kansas is 16-7, Oregon is 16-7. Looks like a Q1 win has been taken away from Oregon, so now 7-5, Kansas is 5-8. The big difference is Oregon is 9-2 in 2,3,4 while Kansas is 11-1. The losses to Minnesota and Nebraska definitely hurt more than the wins over Alabama and A & M helped. No.1 Auburn lost yesterday, so did No.2 Duke, which will probably have Alabama be No.1 in the next poll.
  15. 4-4-2-2-1-1 seems appropriate, the Notre Dame slot is tiresome but appears to be obligatory. Beat Georgia in Athens? Why not, but remember that article that said, "Oregon Can Repeat as B1G Champ" just do that, let osu2 take the "Midnight Train to Georgia"
  16. Looks like you have it down. The transformation from the 1st half to the 2nd half that you noted was exactly what we all feared, expected, would happen. Scared, soft, either works.
  17. Little to argue with. It shouldn't be as simple to say that when the shots go in, the Ducks win. But with this team in particular, it's true, and that's why "Soft" fits. The shots were going in in the 1st half, and they were more physical, the defense was active, the ball was moving. they were causing turnovers and converting them into points. But the first shots in the 2nd half didn't drop and everything fell apart. The shots weren't working for State in the 1st half, but they got it going in the 2nd and everything else got better. Shelstad is lost as a point guard, when he steps back, tries to get other players involved, they miss, so that doesn't work. Key hit the big shot at the buzzer but previously missed 3 open shots.
  18. Can't find the answer to that; last season 9 teams made the tournament with 8 Q1 wins, Kansas had the most, with 17. OBD have been stuck on 8 while Alabama now has 12. Oregon has 7 games left, and currently 2, @ Iowa and Wisconsin, are Q1.
  19. According to the guys on TV this is the first 5 L's in a row for a Ducks team in 11 years, historically that means the Ducks win the last 7 conference games, at least get to conference championship game and a Sweet 16. This year? Probably not. Honestly, sadly, I don't think Izzo or the team were that concerned about being down at halftime. There were some adjustments, but Michigan State really just showed up and Oregon, choked, caved, wilted. Shelstad is mastering David Copperfield in the way he can disappear. Evans had the best 40 minutes; Key made a shot that should have filled the Ducks with momentum going into the 2nd half. State had just lost 2 straight, Illinois is around .500 after blowing the Ducks out. Right now, No.16 Kansas is going to lose to unranked Kansas St. Auburn and Duke are on top, but this is going to be a crazy "March Madness."
  20. Captain Obvious here! "The first 4 minutes of the 2nd half are very important!"
  21. Okay, Key was O-Fer from 3 until he hits a buzzer beater to give the Ducks a 50-37 lead at halftime. State got their first 2 on a put back, but their haven't been many of those. Ducks are playing this one better than they were at the start of the season.
  22. 3-peat! I want it. If KC can keep SB under control, they'll win SB LIX.
  23. SIDEARM Integrations GODUCKS.COM The game will broadcast on FOX at 9 a.m. PT.
  24. I have the same feeling. Altman doesn't fit anymore, the team isn't responding. He absolutely shouldn't be fired, but next season would be better for him, and the team moving forward with a new coach. I agree that Altman would have more fun coaching a team with players who just wanted to play basketball. Power 4 basketball isn't that place anymore.
