  1. The "Pick" is legendary because it was against Washington, and they'll never get over it. In the years, decades, centuries of the Ore-Wa rivalry the Huskies are woeful whiners. One time they actually connected with a punch, and it was 50 years ago in, "The Pit"
  2. Even so, he said that Riley promised that Addison could take his career to new heights with the Trojans. Well, if he promised.
  3. As far as betting, I'd jump on Oregon + 17.5, which is why I imagine the spread will get closer by kickoff?
  4. Remember how it was with the Lady Ducks" You took your eye off the game for an instant you missed a basket, 30 points in a quarter? No big. Graves wants to see Ducks back to playing more up-tempo style next season 247SPORTS.COM Graves wants to see Ducks back to playing more up-tempo style next season
  5. When I saw the title, I thought it was going to be a story about the former Duck, coach and player, Ernie Kent. This was more interesting.
  6. I wasn't happy when White left but was frustrated by the great seasons and flame outs in the NCAA's. It was a money grab for him and Texas, he made that clear, so I appreciated the honesty. It was more painful to see the players leave, and the waters were murky when Lombardi got here. But Lombardi is a proven winner and has done a really good job under the conditions we all recognize. She's getting "her" Ducks now. If these Ducks don't want to stay the door is even easier to see now, and don't let it hit them on their way out.
  7. This is good, Guerrier and new Duck, Keeshawn Barthelemy can build on their relationship next season at Oregon, and Richardson would definitely help the team and himself by coming back next season.
  8. The tern was coined a while back now to describe Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin of the Dallas Cowboys 30 years ago. It's great to see the Chargers recognized, but will they be able to stop the offenses of the other team's next season? Pro Ducks: LA Chargers voted to have best offensive trio in NFL DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Justin Herbert, Austin Eckler, and Keenan Allen? Hard to get better than that.
  9. That's some serious SEC honking there, you can only lose what you have. Oregon has a new coach, a new QB, new OC and DC, Georgia has the Natty in their pocket and is primed for another one. If Georgia doesn't cover with points to spare, it's bad. If Oregon is in the game to the 4th quarter, Lanning and company are off to a great start. The only drama before the game for Oregon is whether Corso and The Duck have a hug.
  10. 14 TD's and tackle the QB, maybe a Huard for a safety, 100, and while green and yellow are gold for Oregon, these uniforms, either way, are in the running for the worst.
  11. It was like a flashback to the Horton era. Did score 6 in the first game, but in both the Ducks, who had done so well during the season, looked completely overmatched offensively. Other teams could lose, but for now, the No.4 Ducks are 0-2, losing to No's 5 and 8.
  12. I'll go with defense, and part of Sewell winning the Butkus Award will be him breaking the Oregon single season tackles record of 206, set by Tom Graham, 1969.in 11 games. They finished, 5-5-1.
  13. If Sewell wins it, it will be 2 in a row for Lanning. It would be first back-to-back for a coach, the only other BTB was when the Boz won the first and second awards at Oklahoma. Oregon's Noah Sewell tabbed by On3 as Butkus Award favorite - On3 WWW.ON3.COM Oregon's hard-hitting, disruptive sophomore linebacker could be one of the top players at his position in 2022.
  14. Love watching the Playoffs, it's better in person, but even without a "team" the chase for the Cup is exciting and OT is as good as it gets, watching the last 4 minutes of an NBA game is about it.
  15. It would be Shakespearean if the Trail Blazers replaced the Super Sonics in Seattle.
  16. That is a race that would be won by a nose. 2007 sure looked like the champ, but id DAT makes the block, and the Ducks go against ND in the Natty? The Ducks have been SO close!!!!
  17. This would great case of gluttony. The SEC will definitely be biting off more than they can chew with this. People do watch the Championship game. But it's because it is The Championship Game, not because the SEC is in it. The SEC, Sankey, Finebaum, both realize that the monopoly that the ESECPN has created with the CFP is diluting interest in college football across the country, that the chase for No.1 in a fixed race is killing the sport. Let the SEC break off, the rest of the country will be just fine.
  18. Another "what if" a Duck QB doesn't go down. Dixon, 2007, is still the biggest of these since, as David points out, the defense in 2015 wasn't taking the Ducks to the championship, and as dynamic as was Adams in 2015, he wasn't going to win the Heisman. The overthrow to Adams is still one of the most painful plays in Oregon history.
  19. Great point. Since the Chip years Stanford has definitely been the Ducks' arch nemesis but I and apparently, we Duck fans don't have the hatred towards them that we do for the Huskies. A reason for this I think is that despite how many times each team wrecked the other's seasons, it didn't generate a lot of talk. In this case, while there was fire, there wasn't any smoke.
  20. I haven't hated the Beavers since the basketball battles in the 70's. Back in Pleasant Hill we were heavy Ducks, but there were a couple of Beavs, and yes, one of them made his orthodontist a lot of money. I hated the Beavs then! But now, the Beavs are an annoying noise, and beating them silences it. The Huskies are also a Noise. But they are Rock Band that had some hits, 50 years ago! They think they still sound good, (how good they ever sounded is debatable). They keep bringing in new "talent" but can't hit the notes anymore. So, there is no doubt that beating the Huskies is more important, and not just for us, but the world really.
