  1. It is, the big advantage the Ducks had over the Wildcats, who were coming off a series win over the Beavers, was their pitching.
  2. "Touchdown, LaMichael James!" We heard Jerry Allen say that many times, and usually less than 2 seconds after he got the ball.
  3. Comparing Oregon and Washington It hasn't been that often, unless Chip Peterson meant Stanford and just misspelled it, Washington.
  4. The loss of their Ace, Brooke Yanez definitely hurt. The positive? The pitchers that were available got time in the circle. Lombardi has done a great job with the team including recruiting. The Pac is loaded in softball and the Ducks will be competing for the top next season.
  5. That's certainly in contention; the time, down and yardage make it even more compelling. The Pick broke the Huskies' back, but it didn't end the game.
  6. If you're going to be compared to a quarterback, it's nice that it's Aaron Rodgers. Charger starting center Corey Linsley sees similarities in Justin Herbert to Aaron Rodgers 247SPORTS.COM Chargers starting center Corey Linsley spent seven seasons serving as the Green Bay Packers' starting center and he worked...
  7. It seems like they do. Didn't have much trouble with Arizona to end the season, of course they have to beat them again in the first game of the tournament. Very strange season, Oregon takes 2of3 from Stanford, Stanford takes 2of3 from the Beavers, who drop 2of 3 to the Wildcats that the Ducks just swept.
  8. Now of course the question, is Oregon-Washington truly a rivalry? Oregon 15-2 the last 17? Of course, it's 24-24 over the last 50 years, so begrudgingly let's call it a rivalry, and frankly, who would Oregon like to see there every season more that the Big W.
  9. John McKay again, with my favorite, when he was the coach at Tampa Bay What do you think of your team's execution, Coach? I think it's a fine idea. Along with his laughable Southern accent, new LSU coach, Brian Kelly also messed this up.
  10. Interesting how cool Hutson is during Cristobal's tirade.
  11. It would have been better for USC if Addison had strung this out a bit longer, the pre-season hype is their driving force, what are they going to talk about now?
  12. That should get fans into MKA, though actually the local theatre would be the place to go: Oregon Ducks: 5-star Mookie Cook to star as LeBron James in film DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Talk about star power. 5-star Oregon commit Mookie Cook has been cast to play none other than LeBron James in an upcoming...
  13. DanLduck, I know a rant, and that was no rant! The idea to have the championship decided on the field sounded good. But it was fun back when after the games were played everybody waited for the polls to come out, and sometimes they weren't the same and that made it even more fun! It is the only way that Washington got its'ship, but that shouldn't mean it was a terrible system. Oregon probably would have played Miami; it was a computer decided it should be Miami. The BCS and now the ESECPN Show has made football the mess it is now. Expansion isn't the cure, but it's a step.
  14. A great title and story about another way that Chip at Oregon completely revolutionized the sport!
  15. I agree with the "staleness" settling in the same way as Sankey and Paul Finebaum have realized it, the reason the Playoffs have been called "the Invitational". The sport has become all about getting to the Natty and limiting the number of teams that get the chance is bad for the sport.
  16. Absolutely, do that, and we're looking at Najee Harris!
  17. There is nuance here, as 15-0 would be the best, and Washington already had an 0-12, and are perfectly capable of producing another one! Pac-12 football: Best-, worst-case scenarios for every team in 2022 247SPORTS.COM Check out the best and worst case scenarios for each Pac-12 team in 2022...
  18. I love alliteration, "Dante Dowdell destroys defenders during devastating downfield dash!"
  19. Addison has visits planned, first to USC, then Alabama, he's already visited Texas. Jordan Addison: Top transfer portal wide receiver plans Alabama official visit following USC trip WWW.ON3.COM .
  20. I'm always ready for some Duck basketball, and the season coming up has me counting the days till it gets started! Last season was a disappointing one that never got on track; it isn't just Oregon fans that were waiting for the late season push that would take the Ducks deep into March Madness, but it didn't happen. Looking back though, compared to some other schools, if that's the worst season Altman at Oregon produces, that's fine.
  21. Ya know back when Kelly and the Ducks ruled the Pac-12, the thought was that USC was down. Some of that was rationalization, but it was great for us! I still believe it's true that a stronger Pac-12 does help Oregon. But for this USC, I hope they do a Sanchez!
  22. Great idea, Charles, you took a good one with being at a Chargers game, besides that, definitely a seat to watch the Ducks win the Natty followed a few months later with another Final Four victory and then be courtside as the Ducks cut the nets. It would be fun to get a bus like Madden had and a bunch of friends and just take a visit of all of the stadia of the NFL, MLB and NBA. Ever since I started watching Wimbledon back in the 70's I wanted to be one of the kids that stood ready to rush out and get the errant ball off the court.
  23. It is great to have Washington being on the receiving end of so many of these, including the "Obee end around" to start this highlight reel, and a couple plays later; if Autzen can recapture the atmosphere it had in 1990 when BYU came to town, no way the Ducks lose!
