The College Football Players We're Not Talking About ENOUGH
30Duck replied to NJDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Definitely agree about the two on the list, World for sure, and yeah, more Oregon players? How about Sadiq? -
Just to make it clear, I am thrilled that Melyssa Lombardi is the coach of the Oregon Softball team, I thought I was getting redundant in my praise and admiration for the job she has done so far. White left Oregon, where he had great success, during the regular season, because Texas offered a sizably bigger contract, Texas has had good regular seasons under White too. When Lombardi's contract comes up, I feel that she too thinks the grass is green at Oregon and Mullens needs to show the green as well.

Oregon Should Reciprocate In-Game Softball Reviews

In basketball and football, if a player re-establishes their position, it's good. In accordance with the rule, Luchar was in contact with base, she did not break the rule by leaving early. Whether her foot was off the base by a quarter of an inch, a half second before she left, on time, shouldn't matter, and when Dot challenged her steal in the first inning of the second game, Luchar had altered her technique, and the challenge failed. -
Yep. Oregon took 2 of 3 in the series at The Jane, so now just do it again in OKC.

They are the Power 2. It's ridiculous that often a sub-.500 team has hosted a Playoff game because it won a division. Now, by design, there is more parity in the NFL than in college football. Winning the B12 or the ACC is not the same as winning the B1G or the SEC. If a team from the B12 or ACC makes a run, let them do it like it happens in college basketball, from a lower seed. -

Oregon Should Reciprocate In-Game Softball Reviews
30Duck replied to HDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Dot's reviews were annoying, even more than Miami's football edition last year. On Friday, the reviews on Luchar exposed a ridiculous flaw in the rule, hopefully it can be corrected. As for Dot's "genius" in spotting it, I don't buy it. Luchar stole a base, Dot didn't like that so she called a challenge, that's it. -
So much for no lead being too much for Liberty. Grein gave up a home run and another hit in the 1st, then doused the next 19 Flames in a row, until a close play at first broke the streak, but no matter, it was 13-1 Oregon by then. Good job taking out A & M, Liberty, but you got Jane'd.

After the 11 game win streak, a loss was coming, and it sure did. The Ducks hit the wall harder than Wyllie Coyote did chasing after the Roadrunner. Murphy's Law was in play. In the previous 54 games, OBD had 39 errors. I'm not a math whiz, but that's below 1 a game. Against Nebraska they had 4! Oh, oh, Nebraska found the blueprint on how to beat Grinsell! No. He was off his game today Sandy Koufax had games like that. There is one problem though, let alone no home runs, Neville is 2-24, and he's striking out more, getting more stressed about getting a hit. I'd shuffle the line-up a bit, no need for him to be leading off, try 5th, see what that does.

I agree. This clearly was not representative of Oregon baseball. During the broadcast it sounded like the Ducks definitely have a Regional, and a graphic showed that a top 8 seed is deserved, they had the Ducks up against 3 other contenders and Oregon was above all of them. So far, 6 of the Top 16 teams were eliminated early in their conference tournaments.

Let's go with this: Since Bittle wasn't invited to the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, this workout with the Warriors could just be being used as a sort of tool to figure out what he needs to continue to work on or improve in his final campaign with Oregon. Hearing from the likes of Golden State coach Steve Kerr and general manager Mike Dunleavy will leave some constructive criticism on what it will take for him to succeed at the next level down the road.
