Oregon leads by 8 at the half, 45-37, and are getting the scoring in the paint, Bittle leads with 14, Ducks are also picking up 2nd chance points! 1 point for Shelstad so far.

Absolutely true. The best line I read in the article is that this would see the SEC move to a 9 game schedule, I must also say that relieving the Committee of anything is a step in the right direction, but the committee wasn't at fault for the seeding. They had the teams ranked properly; the format caused the damage, as Rece Davis had to clarify each week on the ridiculous Reveal Show.

Is 2025 The End of Lanning’s Mercenary Teams?
30Duck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Dabo didn't use the portal at all, and Clemson has fallen off, looks like they'll be more active now. "Google Me, I win" Cig built his winning team on a SOFT schedule and transfers, we'll see how the "emerging superpower" does in 2025. As Jon noted, Lanning has the Ducks at the top of recruiting and Portal, and fewer portal this coming season. This is what OBD needs to compete with osu2 and Georgia. -

I appreciate using "Will" rather than "Can" a portal heavy team win a Natty. Such a team can win a Natty, but I don't think a team with say 16- up of the starters would end up champion. Reload rather than rebuild isn't just an expression, it's a sign of depth & experience, a player here or there, and you're ready to go. OBD is behind osu2 & Georgia now because those two have been the leaders in recruiting for years, that builds a team, especially on the, now clear to all, incredibly important OL, that needs continuity to play at its best. QB's and receivers work better when they know each other. So far Lanning has shown how recruiting, and portal can be used effectively together, OBD is at the top of both lists, osu2 did great work in both and ended up with a Natty last season. Moore is interesting as he was originally recruited by the Ducks, but looks like he'll be at his best coming to Oregon via the portal.

Sweden ties it up, the electricity definitely muted for this one, but still better than the NBA.

You can vote for Lassie, or maybe the dog from The Brady Bunch, or some other canine you believe merits recognition. My two finalists are two who "battled" it out on NBC in the 90's. Eddie, from "Frasier" or "Murray" from "Mad About You"

This game is keeping me awake waiting for it. A live hockey game is as close as I've been to a Kamikaze Kids game in "The Pit" There's no load management in the NHL; week 1 games are played as hard as in the week before the Playoffs. A live hockey game is a 10, but even with the drawbacks, an NHL hockey game on TV is a 9.

As the comics used to say, "I just flew in. man are my arms tired!" It's going to have to be sustainable, that's where the games are. Independent won't work, the Scrap 2 cobble games together and are broadcast on The CW.

I agree. If the games aren't competitive, OBD have problems, a W would be great, and a L, now when they don't ruin a season would be a good loss. Oregon's brand will just get bigger with games in the SEC.

Big Ten x SEC Alliance and Playoff Expansion Coming Soon?
30Duck replied to Thomallister1291's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I'm for this. 12 teams is enough, only half actually have a chance at the Natty, 2 more if it makes the format work. CCG's have to go, why should the first place team after the season need to win the championship again? All the changes we've suggested make perfect sense, but will only be implemented if the $$$ is right. -
Could not agree more. The Huskies were crazy L's to WSU & Rutgers, from being 8-4 instead of 6-6, and those were with Rodgers at QB. Don't let his showing against the Ducks color your opinion, the freshman QB will be a sophomore next season. Riley at SC is much more likely to stay in their loop, than Washington is.

It was a win over Rutgers, back to back, with Northwestern. The difference between this and the losses that turned the season upside down, is that the 3 went in. I agree with Casey Jacobson, who called the game, this 2 game winning streak, does not put the Ducks back on track to contend for the B1G title. One play sticks out, Bittle was at the basket, somehow Rutgers ended up with a guard on him. Instead of feeding Bittle, Bamba passed it out to Shelstad, who took, and missed a 3. . Bailey didn't score anywhere close to his average, but I didn't see Oregon's defense playing a big part in that. I didn't really see Oregon improving, other than the 3's going in, in the area's they've been so bad in the 2nd half of the season. Are these two games the start of the Altman run? I hope so, but it will take more than hitting 3's.
-
The 3's are going in, neither team interested in scoring in the paint. Bittle had a chance to dunk, instead had a soft shot blocked. Ducks 38-33 at halftime.
