  1. Absolutely, Oregon proved that when you hit rock bottom, (Taggart) , you can only go up, (Cristobal).
  2. ESPN's NFL Draft insider Todd McShay has looked at the available players with the draft declaration deadline coming in just a week and has released his latest NFL mock draft.
  3. Meyer is highly interested in the possibility of coaching in the NFL.
  4. The college football season has hit the offseason part of the cycle, and that means recruiting, recruiting, and more recruiting.
  5. The Pac probably doesn't produce the same amount of NFL players as does Alabama, or national championships. LSU just won a title, Georgia, Texas A & M are in the mix. The B1G has Ohio State. Oklahoma has been a practice dummy in its appearances in the Playoffs, but it got in. Oregon would certainly help themselves by getting back to the Playoff, but the conference needs at least USC to be a viable contender as well.
  6. Great point about Boley's game. What is even more impressive, is that, by design, it's so much different from her role last season, which was to stand at the 3 point line. That she is able to do so well at so many things this season is truly impressive.
  7. "When I first came here… we weren't a great hockey team, maybe getting five to 10 fans at our games,"
  8. Thinking about the no.1 receiver takes me back to USC and Marqise Lee, and the connection he had with Matt Barkley. If the Ducks could develop a tandem like that, or what Mac Jones had with DeVonta Smith, the offense reaches a brand new level.
  9. I have become a big fan of Kylee Watson. She plays with an aggressiveness that will only become more of an asset as she becomes more experienced. Hopefully a lot of her practice time is at the free throw line.
  10. This is the component that has been ignored by the committee and needs to be the determinant of the new Playoff.
  11. I agree. That kind of defense has playmakers, while the bend but don't break, was passive by comparison.
  12. Mikesell has not been as effective since her great first game. As Graves goes about paring the rotation, I could see her minutes being reduced.
  13. With a completely different Oregon team it doesn't matter what happened between Arizona & Oregon last season. One point of comparison: Stanford 70 Oregon 63 Stanford 81 Arizona 54 @ Arizona
  14. This is key. As the title of the article says, this will be a new opportunity. Avalos left, this isn't a change for change sake, it has to be done. Hopefully the players will embrace the ideas the new DC brings, and carry them out enthusiastically.
  15. I would argue that right now the, "qualified" teams are far too limited, you know who they are before the season starts. The 5 conference winners would be qualified to play for the championship. The expanded playoff won't turn the CFP in to March Madness, there won't be a 16 against a 1.
  16. So many ideas, and all of them would be better than what is in place now, which is nothing more than an ESPN production starring the teams whose conferences have deals with them...they'll let Ohio State & Oklahoma drop in.
  17. You know, I was fine with that too. The BCS was formed to to clean things up, to avoid controversy. The controversy would be a whole lot better than what we have now, when the championship is down to 4 teams, out of maybe the 8 that have a chance before the season even starts.
  18. I really like this idea, and one step that could, and should be taken, is to get rid of the championship game by getting rid of the divisions, there are no need for either. Set up schedule requirements between all conferences, and the team with the best record will advance to the Playoff. This expanded playoff, consisting of the 5 Conference champions, and 3 at large to be decided on the field, not by a committee. All the teams would, "Be In" one loss wouldn't eliminate their chances, players would want to play in the bowl game instead of opting out.
