  1. This format makes perfect sense, is that the problem?
  2. Hard to believe that could be true. But, during the Sabrina, Ruthy, Satou run, MKA did rock!
  3. I understand the "Pac-12 After Dark" problem the west coast faces. But overall, I love how the times work out. In the east, the primetime games start at 8:00 PM, in the west, it's the 3rd quarter at 8:00. In the NFL games start at 10:00, then 1:00 or 1:25, then the Primetime, again at around 5:00. The infamous "Heidi" game was not a problem in the west; regular programming isn't affected. A game kicking off at 9:00 am in the west is ridiculous, but a noon game in the east is just fine.
  4. He also is doing it in complete silence compared to Riley @ Trojan U. They're both annoying but at least Husky fans care whether their team wins or not.
  5. These guys take offense at your characterization of the NCBWA:
  6. That's tough, Washington. You had a chance at a Natty, then your coach left, you were a middle step for DeBoer.
  7. We don't have a reason to say this very often, Go Northwestern!
  8. The author of the article is correct. The way for UCLA and OBD to prove it is to win. It would be nice if a few of the top seeds lost and UCLA and OBD ended up hosting Super Regionals. It's always good when A & M loses.
  9. From an article by Crepea at the RG: "Oregon entered Selection Sunday No. 17 in adjusted RPI and No. 18 in RPI. Two teams ahead of it in RPI did not receive national seeds while two teams behind it did and it came down to Oregon and Stanford for which got the last hosting opportunity . . . UO went 5-1 against RPI top 25 teams this season, tied for the fewest high-caliber wins among the 16 regional hosts, and 28-3 against teams outside the RPI top 100, tied for the most bad losses among those same teams. Oregon’s nonconference strength of schedule (157) was 15th among the 16 regional hosts."
  10. I don't think teams decide to win or lose games. What if both teams decide to win, or lose the same game? Nothing about this year's team showed complacency or arrogance. In the series that ended the regular season, after a year as good as any pitcher in the country, Grein struggled. Sokolsky came in and cleaned it up. Sokolsky got the start against Michigan in the Playoff. Michigan won the tournament last year. Oregon's pitchers struggled again. It happens. Michigan would go on to win the championship. Beating UCLA, who Oregon beat 2 out of 3, this season. Michigan made play after play in the field against Oregon. They deserved the win. But I don't think that Oregon, with as many wins as No.1 Texas A & M, deserved to be No.16. I believe if the decision is theirs, the Lady Ducks will definitely win the Regional.
  11. Breaking: Ducks to host softball regionals May 16-18 - Daily Emerald DAILYEMERALD.COM The bracket for the 2025 NCAA Division I Softball Championship was revealed on Sunday. The No. 16-seeded Oregon Ducks...
  12. Player of the game goes to Chase Meggers! His 1st home run of the season, and his fantastic pickoff at second to clinch the win!
  13. More drama than necessary, but a pick off at second, gets the win, and the sweep!
  14. The salary difference between a 3rd round pick and a 5th round pick in the NFL is significant. The 3rd round pick can sign a deal worth around $6 million, while the 5th round pick can sign a deal worth more than $4 million but less than $5 million. This reflects the NFL's salary structure, where the value of contracts decreases with each selection.1

  16. Mutts go up 2-0 in the 1st, there happy. No sweat for OBD. They tie it up, then go ahead, 4-2. But 2 homers for UW ties it up. Wow, this must have really got frustrating for the Nutts, Walsh, Oregon's career leader in home runs blasts one to get the lead back, then Neville, with the shift on, gets another, and that was it. A great defensive play by Walsh, which is getting to be an every game thing is almost disallowed, a great at bat for Malony, starts out 0-2, but with a mix of 5 foul offs and 4 balls, gets a walk. Yep, never gets old beating the Huskies!
  17. So many things, Gat. Belichick. I still think he wants to get back to the NFL, leave UNC to his kid, so he can "win without Brady" and break Shula's record. Deion and Colorado, I don't know about "changing forever", they improved to 2nd in the B12. Cal & Stanford in the ACc describes college football perfectly. I used to always cheer for Michigan when they played osu2. And Washington fans feel the same way about James. I don't know who's on top at osu2, Woody, or Urban. Everything points to Oregon winning a Natty, there isn't anything else OBD can do!
  18. An ERA is a very faulty gauge for performance as one bad inning, or a 1/3 of an inning will produce a huge number, and has been mentioned before, baseball is tough. A really good hitter will go out 7 out of 10 times. Nolan Ryan is a Hall of Fame pitcher, the leader in career strikeouts, but only won 53% of his games. Willie Mays started his first season going 0-21. Figure out baseball" Wee Willie Keeler said it best, "Hit it where they ain't"
