  1. Marcus Mariota just finished his 10th NFL season.
  2. The B1G is big, so making 3rd team is significant, but I believe that compared to Bittle, Shelstad is overranked being on the same level. He did hit some shots at the end of games, but better, more consistent play would have made those hero shots unnecessary, there were far too many games, where Shelstad, the point guard, would disappear completely.
  3. The media didn't think anything of the Ducks, which goes with the announcing, except for former Bruin, Don MacLean. However, on the coaches' side, Bittle and Shelstad both made the 3rd team, Bittle & Bamba both on the All-Defensive Team. 2025 All-Big Ten men's basketball teams revealed, awards announced - On3 WWW.ON3.COM On Tuesday, the Big Ten revealed its 2025 men's basketball postseason honors. The voters had plenty to consider.
  4. A lot of Ducks have done very well in the NFL. Ahmad Rashad, (Bobby Moore), LeGarrette Blount, multiple Super Bowls. Patrick Chung with the Patriots. How about Anthony Newman?
  5. I saw George Carlin & Elvis Presley at Mac Court, and graduations were fine. I loved Mac Court popcorn, the memory of its aroma is forever. Ernie-Scott Frost. Nobody is saying that Old Mac Court is the answer, the answer is a NEW Mac Court, it would be right there with Autzen.
  6. Completely agree. We're not arguing that putting some paint on Mac Court was the answer. But Oregon, the most innovative sports program in the country was inert, not innovative, when it came to MKA. Autzen isn't a huge, amenity laden football arena. But it's as hostile and as much of a HFA as any stadium in the country. MKA has nothing that says "Oregon" other than the trees on the court, (a huge improvement, over the first look.) But, I don't care how loud the crowd would get, and it was loud during Sabrina's games, it didn't come close to "the Pit" Todays players watch some tape of games during the Kamikaze Kids" era, they'd love it! Scoreboard shaking overhead, baskets rocking, the band blasting tunes, not some message board saying, "Get Loud!" McKale at Arizona, Cameron Indoor at Duke are hostile now. Please. Oregon could have remade Mac Court, brought it up to date, they didn't. MKA is as vanilla as it gets.
  7. When he wasn't talking about geography, or the average rainfall discrepancy between Needles, CA. & Sedro Wooley, WA. Bill Walton mentioned how he was always excited for a road game, especially in a hostile environment. He loved playing in Mac Court. A good team feeds on the energy coming from the fans, a great team uses it to play even harder. It's all in how the team takes it. Indiana fans will be loud, if Oregon plays tough, smart, they'll shut them up. It's like getting seasick, how you take it from the start is everything. You go out, the boat starts rolling, go with it, it's nothing, you'll be fine. You start going sideways, you're done.
  8. 11-1 is the floor, and OBD is favored at Penn State. I don't see a game like Wisconsin last season that looks dicey. Unless Moore turns out to far less than we're thinking, with the OL looking to start solid & just getting better, a thunder & lightning RB room, WR's, led by Evan Stuart, the O will score, and the D, with attack ready safeties, an aggressive DL & LB corps, Oregon isn't giving up the B1G.
  9. It wasn't surprising at all. Basically, a home game for Indiana, Thursday morning, which isn't necessarily a bad thing this season. Advancing farther would be helped immensely with a W over Indiana.
  10. I think a bigger advantage would be to play as hard as they do the last 3 minutes for the prior 37. The loss to UCLA in the last second should have told them it's risky.
  11. Congrats to Maryland. When Oregon beat them early in the season it wasn't that big of a deal. Pre-season Indiana.2nd finishes 9th. Pre-season 1 Purdue finishes 6th. Washington, preseason 15th, finishes LAST.
  12. This is sad, and a lot of Indiana's fans will be at the B1G Tournament. Anytime there's a look, the move from Mac Court, "The Pit", one of the most intimidating, raucous home courts in basketball to MKA shows that Oregon threw up an airball.
  13. A nice weekend, baseball sweeps the Trojans, men's basketball thumps the last place Huskies, who finished 2 games behind 17th place Rutgers.
  14. An argument can be made, here it is, that the most important position is left tackle, occasionally, RT. We saw what happened to the best OB in the NFL, when Mahomes was a tackling dummy in the two Super Bowls KC lost.
  15. Not only that, but 7 in a row overall. In the B1G that ties the Ducks with No.1 Seed, Michigan State. in the AP. Houston, 10, Louisville has 9. Duke, Clemson, BYU, 8.
  16. For a lot of the game, Bittle had more points than the rest of the team combined. Eventually, the rest of the team, not Shelstad, 4, caught up, finished with 44 to go along with Bittle's 36. Evans missed two free throws at the end of regulation but finished with 11 points to go along with 11 rebounds. The Huskies just weren't good enough to take this one. But this needs to be a wake up call for the Ducks. Indiana, in the first game of the B1G is the most important game for the Ducks this season.
  17. 36-33 Oregon at halftime. With absolutely nothing to play for, except beating Oregon, Washington looks like they want this one more than Oregon does. Bittle, with 21, is 2 points away from his career high.
  18. Shortly after the film's release, five of the actors who portrayed basketball players in the film were suspended by the NCAA from their real-life college basketball teams for three games. The NCAA determined that they had been paid to play basketball, making them ineligible.[9]
  19. The Huskies are so bad, they have no chance at making the B1G Tournament, so that takes some of the bite away, the crowd will bark a bit, but hopefully the Ducks will start fast and remember that they "own this place!"

  22. She deserves a TON of credit. Oregon softball was sinking when White left for the $$$ at Texas, and took a lot of players with him. All Lombardi did was leave the No.1 program in the country, Oklahoma, to take on the challenge of building Oregon back up and has done a great job!
  23. Or, what if we use Purdue as an example? It wouldn't look good This metric doesn't have any room for improvement, and even if Purdue returns all the starters, it's not a reach to believe they'd be better next season. What I'm thinking too, Sayin's athleticism might have had him getting to the ground a split-second faster than Howard.
  24. So, the Ducks play the team they just beat at home, at a "Neutral" court this time, then if they beat Indiana, get No.1, Michigan State. Another "Opportunity"
