  1. The SEC wants to have their cupcakes and eat it too. The article suggests, 'fine, 8 conference games' but how about scheduling a team with some meat on the bone, maybe Illinois instead of Eastern Illinois, or at least Kansas? Kentucky is in the SEC, but according to PAWL, they aren't all that. "Very average," Finebaum said. "I'm not saying he can't have a winning season, but I'll just go through it in my head right now: one, two, three, four, five, I think right now 6-6 would be a pretty good season. It wouldn't be a pretty good season if you've had two bad seasons in a row, I'm just thinking I don't see a lot better than 6-6 or at the absolute best 7-5, which is pretty mediocre."
  2. While schools are prohibited from communicating with players who are not in the transfer portal, the NCAA told Yahoo Sports in January that current rules “do not prevent a student-athlete from unenrolling from an institution, enrolling at a new institution and competing immediately.” Lucas’ attorney, Darren Heitner, said in January that Wisconsin violated NCAA rules by not putting Lucas’ name into the transfer portal. Heitner said Lucas decided to enroll at Miami after learning that his father suffered a “serious, life-threatening illness.” The attorney has threatened to file an antitrust lawsuit against Wisconsin. This is crazier than the contact base stealing and obstruction rules in softball & baseball!
  3. Please B1G, stand up. The last thing Sankey, the SEC, ESPN want is what's best for the game. Force their hand, make the SEC follow the rules like the other conferences do.
  4. I will spin it the other way, the long time fan whiffed on the Ducks. USC is recruiting with a blank check, "Hey kid, how much is it gonna take?" That is not a strategy even if the player had to stay with the Trojans. He doesn't of course which has USC living up to the adage, "A fool and his money are soon parted"
  5. “Jordon and I have both a personal & professional relationship,” Emails provide glimpse into how Bill Belichick handled fallout from Jordon Hudson's viral moment in CBS interview SPORTS.YAHOO.COM Belichick said that Hudson was "simply doing her job" when she said that a question about how they met was off-limits.
  6. Charles & Co. need to sneak in some green shirts.
  7. For the Apple Cup the game was played at Lumen Field, home of the Seahawks.
  8. 1. S Dillon Thieneman, 93 overall The Purdue transfer has delivered back-to-back seasons with more than 100 tackles and is expected to be a future NFL first-round draft pick - even at a position that traditionally carries slightly less value than premium spots (quarterback, offensive tackle, edge-rusher, etc.) He did all that at Purdue.
  9. I'd love for OBD break the winning streak, but I'll be fine adding to the losing streak.
  10. I say this is a good and earned move. White leaving was contentious, but the Ducks are in great shape with Lombardi and the football situation could not have played out better.
  11. This is just ridiculous. Last year after Bama lost to Okie and Vandy it was horrific, world as we know it ending! But now the SEC is using the Bama L's to show how STRONG the SEC is. In the words of Les Nessman, winner of 5 Buckeye News Hawk Awards, "Give me a break!" Oregon is not going to lose to Purdue, or Northwestern, or Rutgers, or Maryland...but if they did somehow, should they schedule Texas State in Weak 11?
  12. Definitely. A 6'5 safety is a unicorn.
  13. Texas State San Diego State Oregon State Colorado State Boise State Utah State Washington State Fresno State Didn't want him anyway.
  14. Worst case absolutely would be a L to "Google Me, I'm a Winner" Cignetti and his "emerging superpower, Indiana, at home, with "Shout" going? At Iowa is conceivable, as is a L to the Mutts with the fog horn in a worst case scenario. 10-2 worked out fine for the eventual champ, who's season ended with a L to their most hated rival.
  15. Yeah, but I don't think it's a miss, the Ducks held their swing. A & M & USC are swinging for the fences, but it's the 4th inning.
  16. How the SEC can compromise with the Big Ten Go to nine conference games Penn State will get a new uniform first.
  17. There we go. Life Long Fan< $$$. But yeah, he'll be around later.
  18. In 2018 a blunder cost them against the Beavs, this time they collapsed against LSU. Arkansas Blows Win Against LSU With 9th Inning Collapse, Razorbacks Officially Cursed At College World Series WWW.OUTKICK.COM The Razorbacks will have a hard time forgetting this game against LSU, as they once again choked away a game at the College...
  19. SIDEARM Integrations GODUCKS.COM Elon Butler hit 37 home runs with 112 RBIs while at Cal.
  20. TAMU & Jimbo should have been a flashing stop sign, but USC and Riley are blasting through it. NIL and the portal have made roster stability archaic, but USC in the midst of a drought thinks making a big splash is a sound strategy. Meanwhile, Oregon, the flashy brand, is playing it cool.
  21. Absolutely. All this huffing and puffing from the SEC to preserve its sacred 8 game schedule. To the rest of the football world the 8 games is the Scarlet Letter, to the SEC it's the S on Superman's cape. Bring on the Kryptonite, B1G!
  22. I'm having a really hard time coming up with a player I'm as excited about as Sadiq in '25.
  23. an impressive list at Oregon, in the 70's Don Reynolds played football and basketball, the 80's, Jordan Kent, basketball, football and track, and of course more recently, Liz Brenner, basketball, softball, volleyball and track.
