  1. Definitely at Penn State. I have a memory of being seated right behind Ki-Jana Carter when took the handoff in the first play of the '95 Rose Bowl. I need to replace that!
  2. I agree with this completely. The kid was a class act every minute he was a Duck. Watching it frustrated us, imagine how it felt to go out there play after play? Yet after every game he was a leader as much as were Marcus or Justin, never came close to throwing anybody under the bus, and he heard the booing.
  3. I'm with you. When the game starts on Saturday, and I see who the QB is, or the WR's or TE or whoever, that's fine with me, and if it keeps the opponent in the dark, then absolutely it's the right move.
  4. Blitzing and booing is what USC needs to face at every road game this season, nonstop. They won't get booed at home, SnoopDogg will just stop driving the bandwagon and the Coliseum will look like Autzen, 1972. A great point was made earlier, Oregon doesn't write articles about how much better they are than USC and UW, it's Scoreboard, baby. Riley is the big shiny jewel that Cowherd can lap up, Lanning is boring, all he did was lead a historic defense to a Natty. Every time that Williams gets knocked down and that Transfer RB gets stood up, a bell will ring, and we can smile.
  5. I have far fewer problems with this than I did with the offensive list, of course Ngata is there, and yes, TJ Ward!
  6. I already think Lanning's a great coach and he hasn't even coached a game yet, and his first game is only against his old team, the defending champion. This is the story I'd have written in the sixth grade. Chances are he could make a mistake. He hasn't yet, and I don't feel like losing to Georgia would be one. But sometime Coach Lanning might make a mistake. As Canzano mentioned, the other coaches all had specific characteristics, haven't picked that up in Lanning yet. But I feel safe in thinking that he'll have the Ducks ready ay kickoff and whether the game starts great or goes off track, he'll deal with it. I hope he's the last Oregon football coach I'll see.
  7. I feel we should be careful of tossing the term, delusional around. Those folks up North have spent, years, decades, centuries refining their state of existence. They have turned it into an art form. Others can try, but they won't own it.
  8. Ahmad Rashad - Wikipedia EN.WIKIPEDIA.ORG At Oregon, Moore played wide receiver and wingback as a sophomore in 1969 and made the all-conference team.[12] He moved to running back, where he was an All-America in 1971
  9. I'm okay with the QB's, but I'd have LaMike and J-Stew as well at RB. WR? I'd have Bobby Moore, (Ahmad Rashad), Jeff Maehl and Parker, with Howry and Huff at back-up. TE, how is Francis not mentioned?
  10. But will Oregon surpass Georgia by week 6? Both teams have things to sort out early, leveling the field as much as possible opening day.
  11. This is great, UCLA was only a tag along with USC to start with and now all this!
  12. Little Johnny Fuskie started watching the team up north in 2004. For12 years, 3 graduating classes later, the only W's he saw were next to Oregon's name. Now the Ducks have a 3 game winning streak. It's tough being the nail, Johnny.
  13. Unreal. These are the fans that thought it was impressive to put 70 points on a woefully bad Oregon team, and that Jake Finger Wag is a hero.
  14. Now it can be a 3 game series. As Sabrina told the interviewer after he said that she and the Liberty can now promise their fans that there will be a game at the Barclay Center, they might as well just win Game 2.
  15. TE's have been a nightmare, I still wake up screaming, 'Gronk!' Stopping the TE should be a priority in the defense we're thinking Oregon will have this season. The TE is a check down and big play all in one.
  16. There have to be doubts about everything. Sandy Koufax was nervous before every game he pitched, but there's nervous like seeing a fin while you're taking a swim, and there are the nerves about Lanning starting his career at Oregon against the defending champ, his old school. Nerves are what makes sports fun, they're why we're counting down to Sep.3. Alabama has a different set of nerves going into seasons, and a ton of credit to Saban for keeping that going in Tuscaloosa. The "Royalty" up north don't have nerves, but denial does that.
  17. Just as Prof. Henry Higgins said, 'I think (s)he's got it!'
  18. Completely agree. It was so depressing seeing Stanford send out its giraffe and have the Oregon DB looking up at his neck.
  19. What I'm really happy about is that as great as the recruiting is for 2023, 2022 Oregon Men's basketball looks great too. It was sad to see Oregon take its knee off Arizona's neck last season, but it looks like the Ducks could have the Wildcats, and the Bruins and the Trojans, gasping for air again!.
