  1. The QB is not the concern I have for tOSU. Kelly was the most important coach last season, he's gone; the 2nd most important was Knowles, he's gone. The two most important coaches at tOSU now are Hartline and Matt Patricia, the new DC. Day's still there.
  2. No.1 What If...I don't care. No. 2. I think the article has this question mixed up. Sayin doesn't have to better than Howard was last year, Hartline however does have to step up. Kelly saved the Day on offense and of course there's a new DC. A lot more questions than the QB. No.3. Can Franklin win a B1G One? Let's see, Oregon comes in a new QB, behind a new OL, a new receiving corps, new RB's, new DL, new secondary, and they're getting HFA? No.4 Let's evaluate what "elite" means regarding Iowa's QB. No.5 Nebraska could improve over last year and still might not be all that.
  3. Bear and Matayo sound like a devastating duo! If they're really effective there won't be much for Thieneman and the rest of the secondary to deal with. A stifling defense is and always will be, the key yo winning a Natty. This can be a stifling defense.
  4. Jabba, "Great Post" wasn't sufficient for yours! Nobody is calling Minnesota elite, what about Pitt? Yale? Oregon burst on the scene with Joey H and being screwed by the computer into missing the chance to play Miami. Oregon is elite, it wouldn't have mattered if Dyer was down if Chip had gotten out of his own way, and 2007? Only the Women's 2020 Basketball team was a more sure thing. Oregon is elite. From the Duck to the uniforms, the facilities, Oregon is always in the discussion, right up to, " need to win a Natty" U-Dub has a Natty, outside of Mountlake, no discussion of elite has included them in a long time.
  5. So, SEC- Alabama, Georgia, Texas, LSU, SCAR, Ole Miss, A & M, Auburn, Florida B1G- Oregon, Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan USC ACC- Clemson, MIA, FSU IND, Good ole, Notre Dame
  6. Oregon is absolutely the elitest team without a football Natty; U-Dub is the non-elitest team with a football Natty.
  7. For instance, they have invested a significant amount in Lincoln Riley and the football program. Now, they need to be careful with NIL expenditures and success on the field. Reports also suggest that the university’s football is getting more financial resources as compared to women’s basketball, which has been a high-profile program the recent years.
  8. UNC fake class scandal and NCAA’s response wind their way to D.C. | CNN The NCAA declined to sanction the university, saying the scandal was academic in nature, not athletic. NCAA hands out punishment to Memphis for academic violations | Yardbarker
  9. What else should a recruit have to see? The Duck is The GOAT
  10. The team was great, and I'm not with Jameis in that "it could have gone either way", but this is not a game I want to watch over and over, it's basically Jameis's fumble.
  11. Concerns Surrounding Ohio State QB Julian Sayin Continue to Grow
  12. Sadly, I think the "lifelong fan" recruit is in the past. Just recently one of them picked a different school. That's fine, but why did the softball pitcher transfer to Texas Tech from Stanford? A million reasons come to mind. As long as the transfer portal exists, loyalty has never been more fleeting, it's "Show Me the Money" now.
  13. This viability?
  14. Taking "Tank" right out of Mobile would be a huge feather in Lanning's cap!
  15. Gee, I don't either, but I don't have a future Hall of Fame QB for a brother, so what do I know, and PAWL says Arch is "the greatest!" Relative of four-time NFL MVP questions Arch Manning hype | Yardbarker
  16. This is why I think he had to go, from stories about that time the team had turned on MH. Kelly created a culture, and whatever shortcomings he had as a coach, "The Blur" and 46-7, covered them up
  17. Yeah, Greg should watch out for the "guy in the know" who told him this or he might sell him a bridge. Saban's already the GOAT, he saw what the sport was turning into and got out.
  18. Greg McElroy: Insider says Nick Saban isn't done coaching
  19. Great for Neville and Lurch. Some team is going to get a great pick in Jacob Walsh and what about Grinsell?
  20. I'm intrigued about "the kit that will be discussed, like, a lot" Hopefully it won't be for the game on Peacock that I don't have anymore.
  21. My lasting image of Helfrich is that the chair he sat in for their post game interviews was too big for him. He wasn't hired because Oregon thought he was a great head coach; he was just as close to Chip as there was going to be. It was unfair but Helfrich took the job, and it worked for a while, but the gas ran out and was running on fumes. He might have been able to get it going but I think it was the right decision to move on.
  22. I can definitely get behind Ohio State not wanting to play OBD 3 times, they didn't WANT to lose to Michigan, but they were more interested in the end game. OBD would definitely have been better off if they had lost the CCG and traded places in the CFP with PSU. Really can't have a worse shortcoming in a DC than not grasping the concept of shutting down the opposition. can't have talent like Matayo, Bear, Thieneman ...not utilized properly.
  23. "Stellar!" I say that USC's NIL collectives are organized like the contestants in "Supermarket Sweep" just picking up and filling their carts, not looking so much at the contents.
  24. All 40 of those observations have more resonance than PAWL's echo chamber screech about Arch.
  25. Posts from the network about the mascots are still ongoing and will likely continue to prominently feature The Duck. Since joining the conference, The Duck has made a splash. Of course.
