  1. There was a play, in of those impossible to forget L's to the Huskies, a 50/50 to Franklin with JM covering. and JM knocked it down. Instant hatred of course. Then, with all that you mentioned about him, he transfers to Oregon, and he can't stop gushing. But he didn't make any of those plays for OBD.
  2. Or. should that be a nightmare! The Ducks should be thinking, "what if we get Beavis again in a Super Regional?" The expression is, 'it's hard to beat a good team 3 times' The Ducks just took 4 straight. Of course, the law of averages would be in Beavis's favor, but especially the way the game went last night, Oregon is right to feel confident about playing again.
  3. Ruth: A coverage experience as unique as the game itself - Daily Emerald DAILYEMERALD.COM No press box seat? No problem! I was still able to attend and cover the No. 6 Ducks’ 8-4 win over No. 7 Oregon State in Corvallis...
  4. As Sgt. Schultz said so often and so well, , except whatever the Ducks' scheme was in the Rose Bowl was severely flawed. I can recognize talent, and people who know stuff say the talent is there, So, DL and TL have to "go to school" for next season to playout the way everybody wants it to. It's like baking. All the ingredients are there. But they have to be mixed just right, or it falls, or gets burned. Before you taste something, the aroma catches you. Sweet, sour either one. But never bitter, the aftertaste that never leaves. It's all there this season.
  5. The Ducks toyed with the Beavs in this one. Around the middle of the game, the Beavs announcing squad noticed that there were some Duck fans spread out the crowd. It was hard to miss them, as besides the orange and black, there were a bunch of empty seats...more as the game went along. As the game is going, and the previous 3, I couldn't help thinking, "The Beavs were No.3?" In a top 6 match-up, if you made a team out of the starters, it would be a split. Not here. The first team, all 9 positions, would be Ducks! In this game in particular, I give the PoG to Jacob Walsh. But, the Play of the Game goes to Carter Garate for his amazing catch of the line drive, with the bases loaded in the 3rd.
  6. Of course, the Pac-12? broadcast is biased, it's also very boring. $$$$ definitely helps the production.
  7. Whenever I hear this, I think of "The Pit" Just imagine the video of the Kamikaze Kids with this in the background!
  8. It doesn't even matter that they're from Seattle, Heart is that good!
  9. The Ducks will show the Rodents what to do when you reach No.3. Michigan St. is heading to The Jane! Run Rule Ahead!
  10. No. 5 Oregon softball dominates Notre Dame 10-1 - Daily Emerald DAILYEMERALD.COM Value each pitch. Make the right decision. Get the big hit. Locate your pitches. Over and over and over. Every blunder can spark a...
  11. Oregon is making Run Rule a habit!
  12. And thanks to all the Beav fans. Some of them didn't like the crowds at PK, can't imagine why. Makes me think of that movie, from 1945
  13. Two of my favorite TV Show Themes...back when shows had theme songs
  14. Wow. Actually have to kind of, sort of want the Trojans & the Puppies to win? The things we have to do for OBD!
  15. Okay, Super Regional might not happen. But a regional? OBD just have to keep doin' what they're doin! The SWEEP of the Beavs had Oregon showing what they can do at bat, in the field & on the mound. Grinsell is becoming an Ace, Reitz, has had innings, in his last 2 starts that were pull-worthy, but Was, knows his pitchers. Reitz stayed in and did fine. As bad as yesterday was, 4 straight full count walks, but the only run the Beavs could get out of it was a forced run!
  16. Back in the day, KUGN would have Elvis contests, trivia, Name that tune. It didn't matter; I won! Eventually they switched to, "The 8th caller" oh well.
  17. Absolutely. I posted in another thread that I thought Beavs would drop to 6, and OBD would jump to 10. I definitely didn't see this. The Beavs are wacked now. The Ducks just swept the traditional series. Now, the Ducks are 6 and they're 7, with a game in Corvallis tomorrow night. OBD have to stay calm.
  18. Given that the NCAA has mastered in inertia since its inception, filing for bankruptcy is unlikely, add in that even though it is standard practice, the NCAA is so thin skinned, bankruptcy is probably out of the question. The NCAA has fed on low hanging food forever, wouldn't touch the UNC classroom scandal, but ripped Reggie Bush's Heisman away over his parent's and a car. Vacating wins is the silliest punishment ever conceived; the NCAA loves it.
  19. Wondering about that too. Beavs were No.3, their highest of the season, OBD at No.13, their highest. 13 sweeps 3 at home? I'll go Beavs drop to 6, OBD to 10. So, not 8 yet.
  20. Feb.21, 1970 Oregon 78 UCLA 65, the headline on the Register-Guard the next day "Who's Number 1 Now?" Stan, Billy Gaskins, Bill Drozdiak over UCLA and Sidney Wicks, Curtis Rowe, Henry Bibby, Mac Court was craaazy!!!
  21. I wanted to say incredible, except that conveys a sense of surprise and disbelief, and what the Oregon softball team is in 2025 is completely real.
