The players won't all get cut, some might leave, via the portal, the coach is the one shown the door. I have nightmares about what TE's have done to Duck D's in the past, but this D won't let that happen. The Pac-10 did play everybody, talk about a specious argument. As HDuck points out, and the scheduling did Oregon no favors, they played the best of the B1G. If Indiana had been expected to do as well as they did, Oregon would have played them instead of Purdue.

Quick look at UCLA. They're 7-1, haven't played a tough schedule, their best opponent, New Mexico, beat them. They're averaging 78.2 a game, giving up 53.1. Remember though this is against a schedule without a Quad 1 possible, except New Mexico. Two nights ago, the Bruins did beat Washington, 69-58.

Exactly, awful shooting game for Bamba, little production from Bittle, Angel has been off for the last several games and they still won. Anybody who has followed Altman knew exactly what he was going to say at halftime. His teams will never be complacent. Fortunately, again the problems were on offense, the defense has been there for all 9 games. It's amazing that this team has found the ability to take the hits early, not abandon the plan, and take over at the end, Altman's teams always get better as the season goes on, this one will too.

The Huskies definitely weren't the worst team that the Ducks played this season. Without self inflicted foibles early in the season against WSU and Rutgers, they're 8-3 going into the game. It wouldn't have made any difference in the outcome, but Purdue is the worst team. It was the perfect opportunity for the Ducks to unleash the defense on the dogs, who thought that starting a freshman QB, in his first game, against the No.1 team in the country, on the road, in the loudest stadium, was their best option,,, The defense was so destructive because it was proactive, not reactive, it forced the action. Whatever Washington tried to do, it wasn't going to work.
