And yet No. 50 at Rivals? Whew! I'm going with the coaches on this one... Rivals.com 2024 Offensive tackle N.RIVALS.COM The definitive source for all Rivals news.
  2. Trust me: we know precisely what we are doing...
  3. Isn't it wonderful that the Huskies have moved up to No. 43 in the recruiting rankings? 2024 Washington Huskies football commitment list WASHINGTON.RIVALS.COM The definitive source for all Washington news. Not a single player from the state of Washington yet because....the best ones are coming to Oregon!
  4. A Husky fan is feeling his oats...and an Oregon fan responds....
  5. We are hoping that Edge-Rusher, Elijah Rushing commits to the Ducks on Thursday, as he is one of nation’s best--and would be an huge victory for this recruiting class if he announces his verbal to Oregon. Remember, Oregon has a massive stretch of recruiting announcements in the first two weeks of July that is a game-changer! 6. You settled before all the components of streaming were brought into play. You will regret your contract before it is over... All that matters is that we have a contract before expiration date that is the best we can achieve. And we will, and it will be superior to the Big-12 media contract. See? The Pac-12 can talk trash too... The Big-12 and all their hacks...
  7. Wait for judgement until it happens, please. 1. The B1G contract was signed a year before it took effect, which is about where we are with ours in the Pac-12. But wait! The B1G have new complications that have to be solved in two months? 2. You are a Big-12 fan, thus your trolling means nothing to us. We will have a superior contract to yours when it is done, and all of you will fade away....
  8. The end analysis for me? I look at the incredible job Will Stein did this last year with an injured, incompetent offensive line setting records, AND my faith in Dan Lanning. He knows how to hire, and I believe we will score points this year just like last year.
  9. He is now a school principal and football coach, so former FishDuck analyst Jeremy Mosier does not have the time to do analysis articles any longer. But before his football fall camp began--he made the video below that is just so fun and awesome. Play highlights of recent years, last year and of the Mariota years. It tugs at your hearts my Duck-Buddies!
  10. John Canzano suggested a couple of items to ponder with the announcement.... 1. No surprise, as this is what has been expected. 2. Perhaps the Pac-12 wants receive the 2024 windfall to pay off the 50 million debt due a split of 10 ways versus 12? Bring in SDST and SMU for 2025 instead of right now? 3. "It could be that the Pac-12 presidents and chancellors simply don’t think like you and I do. It could also be that they’re simply sticking to a strict order of operations — TV deal first, expansion second — and they’re not done with the media part. Or it could be that they’ve discovered a financial advantage to waiting another year to invite two new members." My fellow Duck-Buddies....No. 3 suggested by Canzano might actually make the most sense. Those damn egghead University Presidents, "simply don't think like you and I do." Yep, they know what they're doing...
  11. Trust me, the Pac-12 knows what they're doing...
  12. This is going to be so interesting to watch, and adds to the drama of the future. If this young man has the mental intangibles discussed above along with the incredible physical attributes? He could be the best QB ever at Oregon. Calm down Charles!
  13. AMEN Duck Brother. When Clemson won 'Nattys in a weak ACC...nobody cared about their conference because the Tigers had great teams who beat the best in the Playoffs. In the end, the prestige of the conference does not matter; all the matters is Our Beloved Ducks!
  14. Oregon State is pretty proud of their Baseball program, and although their won the Civil War Series....they ended up No. 23 in the nation compared to Oregon's highest ranking of the year, (the perfect time) at No. 12, with only Stanford higher in the conference at No. 4 in the nation. Pretty darn good for the Ducks, since they were predicted by the Pac-12 Coaches to end up fifth in the conference! D1Baseball Top 25: National champion LSU tops final 2023 rankings • D1Baseball D1BASEBALL.COM After beginning the season as the preseason top team in the land, LSU finished the year back atop the final D1Baseball Top 25 Rankings.
  15. Prestige? Well, the first four are good, but after that? That is a big conference, but not a strong one--as Jon has pointed out with their post-season results over the last 20 years. They have media markets, but eventually the metric will be the audience size...perhaps in five years? Big Ten Ohio State Buckeyes Michigan Wolverines Penn State Nittany Lions USC Trojans Wisconsin Badgers Iowa Hawkeyes UCLA Bruins Illinois Fighting Illini Indiana Hoosiers Maryland Terrapins Michigan State Spartans Minnesota Golden Gophers Nebraska Cornhuskers Northwestern Wildcats Purdue Boilermakers Rutgers Scarlet Knights
  16. Moga has already moved up from 3-Star to 4-Star on Rivals. Another example of the coaches seeing the upside before the analysts do! It was assumed that Moga was recruited because he throws a really nice long-ball, which matches up with what Will Stein wants. But this guy has more
  17. Running a 10.4 in the 100 meters would be fantastic for a receiver or running back...but a quarterback? And he had these kind of hops? Wowsa.
  18. Jon, you are so right about this article. “Prove it versus USC?” We already have for 20 years! This is the time of year, when the writers have very little to write about, and they come up with a lot of crap as we have seen in the past couple of weeks.
  19. Interesting question with the pace of tech change....will streaming replace traditional TV faster than cell phones replaced Land-Lines?
  20. That is a fantastic write-up about the kicker, (above) and goes to show how Dano is stacking the talent at every position! Recruit like crazy, and find out who is the best...
  21. For once the Pac-12 could be the leader! And if Oregon doubles their global audience in the next five years, (because of how mismanaged the Pac-12 Network distribution system was)....then look out!
  22. They really believe that, and the comments below reflect a purple confidence in flipping our verbals after they commit! All this hubris because of one poorly called play and our QB got hurt....(Let it go Charles) Imagine if Bo had not been hurt, we win the game--what the mental aftermath would be for the sillies in Seattle? Regardless--they will howl, no matter what! Oh yeah, Huskies know how to flip...
  23. What if...we had both AND ESPN+ for streaming? That is how you double your global audience...
