  1. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5-0 Ducks after one inning. What is the difference between yesterday and today? The GCU pitcher yesterday was very, very tough, as was the primary reliever. Today, the GCU starter has only pitched ONE inning this season, so the 'Lopes are way down in their pitching depth. Oregon is giving the hill to Julian Hernandez, the transfer from Whitman College who got shelled his first outing against Toledo, but has done well since. He walked a batter, who then stole second base, but wait....Maddox Molony kept the tag intact for over ten seconds, and in the slick turf....the GCU runner's foot slipped off the base for half a second. That is all it took for the out!
  2. If they keep this up--they have a great shot at hosting a Super-Regional and taking a trip to the Womens College World Series! The season has a long way to go--but the opportunity is there with how they are playing. SIDEARM Integrations GODUCKS.COM No. 12 Oregon tied the school record with 20 RBI.
  3. Yeah, I figured you would comment when we lose...
  4. GCU wins 4-2, and snaps an 11 game winning streak for Oregon. We had the opportunities, but did not get the timely hits that were needed when we had so many Ducks on base.
  5. 4-2 GCU and we left two in scoring position again,
  6. I normally do not allow items to be linked here from ATQ, because they have a real hate for me over there, (I do NOT know why) and have written terrible things about me, our writers, and our audience. I have no such beef with them, but I see no reason to promote a site that actively insults us on a regular basis. Hythoday1 has taken many shots at our analyses done here at FishDuck.com in the past. I think his are great, I think ours are great as they both show different information. But his are the best, and if you don't believe that....ask him.
  7. Four of the five in this article are the same as the original article. Only difference is "The Dutchman" vs. Haloti Ngata.
  8. Damn! 3-1 'Lopes after seven innings. Umlandt was tired, as he gave up a home run and a double in his first two batters. Seth Mattox (Reliever) made an error throwing the third in relief to score another run, and now Cole Stokes is trying to hold GCU in check. Oregon left two base runners stranded again.
  9. 1-0 Ducks after six innings. Thank goodness that Oregon's Ian Umlandt is keeping them scoreless, but he looked tired in the latter part of the six inning, and I see they are bringing him back out for the seventh?
  10. 1-0 Ducks after five innings. Crap! Oregon has had two runners on three times now, and can't get the timely hit. GCU has a reliever in there, and he was good too!
  11. 1-0 Ducks after four innings, as this GCU pitcher has been difficult to crack thus far. Oregon's Umlandt responds in kind!
  12. 1-0 Ducks after two innings, as the 'Lope pitcher has been tough. Waz stated in the pregame interview that the Antelopes are 3-1 against B1G teams, and 1-1 against ranked teams.
  13. 1-0 Ducks after one inning on a home run by Mason Neville! Duck pitcher Ian Umlandt is off to his usual start!
  14. I agree with this, but from what I saw....he did NOT have good pocket presence, a feel for the pressure. Instead of stepping up in the pocket, he often stood there flat-footed and got creamed. I am sure he has learned and improved... But he CAN throw the ball!
  15. “The Dutchman” and the Original Vertical Passing Game | FishDuck FISHDUCK.COM Despite recent beliefs, the greatest Oregon Duck of all time is Norm Van Brocklin and not Marcus Mariota. His success in the NFL earned him the Hall of Fame status, something Mariota is unlikely...
  16. This mid-week set of games on Tuesday and Wednesday are a good example of what Coach Waz is trying to schedule. GCU has won the WAC conference in recent years, is projected to be a 30 game winner, and is a front-runner to win the WAC this year. They beat Rutgers three times out of a four game series, and last week swept Texas Tech three games, and beat Pepperdine to get to 11-4 for the season. They are putting up a decent pitcher at a 4.50 ERA against "The Pride of Sherwood," Ian Umlandt, who has an ERA under 1.00 thus far this season. We Gotta Win as Many as Possible! Dominic Hellman is on base again!
  17. You have the worst schedule, and we have a "favorable"schedule to break in a new QB. Only a one-year break, but you need to talk to the SEC, as being penalized for your success, and what you have given to by your conference is WRONG.
  18. My Duck-Buddies....you are very patient and kind. That article is a "pay" article, where the backlink to a casino site is payment to FishDuck.com to help pay the bills of both sites. As I read it-I thought, "this is not bad for being written in Europe," but as I read it further I said to myself...'it is Jon Joseph-Light." Then, as I read it further I thought to myself, "this is Jon Joseph VERY Light!" I am grateful for orders to pay the bills, but I am very grateful for our "Schedule-Maven" Jon Joseph. Nobody knows them better anywhere...
  19. Actually, the mistake is not yours, but mine. I misread it, but I do appreciate what you provided above. Damn....8,400 at Oregon...really? Any team averaging over 10,000 is impressive to me, that IS half the B1G.
  20. Thus why we need to end up in the top eight to get both a Regional and Super-Regional at home. Yep, it is a tall order but...
  21. Losing at the end of the season would benefit us?
  22. Is looking at seating capacity the right metric to look at here? I think 18,000 on average showing to watch a so-so Ohio State team is pretty darn good. In fact I think most of those are pretty good, especially 15,000 for Penn State? When you consider that Oregon has had a ton of disappointing seasons, and this year was certainly a yo-yo...a 12,000 average is fine. It could be a ton worse, and if we string together some winning seasons into the post-season--you will see those averages rise. Attendance follows winning, thus I am counting the blessings we have with that considering the underperforming product on the floor.
