USC’s Flight to Blizzardville, and Other Cheesy Jowly Things
I appreciate the Gordon Lightfoot reference. That song still gives me the chills every time I hear it. Hopefully this is a premonition of things to come, and that the course of the good ship USuCk will follow the trajectory of the last fateful voyage of the Edmund Fitzgerald - straight to the icy bottom. RIP!! Go Ducks!!

The Definition of Awesome
Thanks for sharing that! I missed it when I looked at the article with Saturday's uni selection. I'm pleased they're honoring Spencer in that fashion! Go Ducks!!

Yikes. "Nice Has No Future" True?
Thanks @Charles Fischer for keeping this site family friendly and free from a lot of crap found on other sites. A few minutes ago I was reading through the comments on this article (posted on the forum today, outsourced, not our material): Georgia football: 3 reasons Oregon could shock the Bulldogs WWW.SATURDAYDOWNSOUTH.COM It's not LIKELY, mind you, but we're here to tell you that it wouldn't be an earth-shaking upset. It was not too horrible as forums go, but the anatomical correctness displayed was an eye opener. I am so happy to have a forum to come to where decency and manners matter. Thanks Charles! Go Ducks!!

Oregon WR Commit Jurrion Dickey Responds to Miami Rumors: 'I'm staying a Duck'
Whatya think? Is Mari nO Offense going to keep this to a one score game? Just asking for a friend... LOL!!

UNLV Offense Looking Sweet Under Arroyo
Off topic, but when I was in 8th grade (Valdez, AK), my reading comprehension was college level and above. Due to the influx of kids coming in with their parents (construction workers building the Alyeska Pipeline), they didn't know what to do with me. So they put me in special ed. Special ed was conducted in an old mobile home with very homey furnishings, recliners and such. It was a tough life - lounging in a recliner reading novels. Anyway, there was an old record player, and the teacher was a huge Elton John fan. We listened (while we were reading of course), to the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album every day. Not a bad way to pass an afternoon... LOL!! I still enjoy reading and listening to music at the same time. Thanks for prompting an excellent memory!

Ducks vs Bulldawgs...What's the Score?
Based on absolutely nothing at all, these were just the first numbers that jumped into my head. Ducks 31 Dawgs 28

Gotta Love a Husky Saturday Spoof
And she asks, banging the receiver on the counter, "excuse me, who's calling again? I can't hear you..." LOL!!

Dillingham: 'I’m a Better OC Because of Lanning’s Defensive Expertise'
Throughout my career, I have found myself learning something from literally everyone I have ever worked with. Sometimes it's a behavior or task hack that I want to emulate, sometimes it's observing something that I know I will never do. Either way, I have always felt it important to keep learning. I appreciate our coaching staff learning from each other. No one person knows everything about everything (Mari nO offense being the sole exception, of course.... ha-ha). You never know when you are going to meet someone who will share "why don't you try it this way?" As other posters have noted, we have transitioned from a D9 Cat (very powerful, very slow) to roomful of brainiacs tuning up the Formula 1 car. I'm excited! Go Ducks!!

New Coach Profiles: Author 'Bets Against this Staff, Roster Have the Chops to Overcome Inexperience to Win Conference Year One'
Huh?? Why the premise that we'll go down the same path as Washington?? Maybe I missed the National Championship winning DC position on Jimmy Lake's resume?? Good Grief Charlie Brown. This article reminds me of silly putty - quite a stretch.

The Difference Between This Year and Last?
My expectation is that we will hear football noise that is the equivalent of a Dodge Hellcat at wide open throttle.

The Difference Between This Year and Last?
Or pass for 2.5 yards in traffic... LOL!!

USC Killed Previous PAC-12 Expansion Efforts
I've been pondering a response to the OP while reading other responses, and I've had to conclude that anything I might write from the heart will significantly violate our TOS (which I have TON of respect for, BTW). Suffice to say that I wish the worst for the usuck backstabbers, and the best for us. In terms of music, I'm a big Avenged Sevenfold fan. Letting that band name soak in for a few moments is the closest I can come (here) to saying my true feelings. I like the idea of go big or go home! Time to go big!! (and I'm not meaning B1G btw...) I want something that stays more local but comes together to kick butt!! Time to take charge! Go Ducks!!

Canzano: Mailbag Deals With Betrayal, Potential UCLA Flip-Flop, and Sneaker Waves
Thanks NJDuck for posting Canzano's missives here. I'm subscribed, and get all these in my email, but for some reason when you post them here they are much more readable. I have enjoyed reading Canzano for many years - don't always agree with him, but I like his style. Thanks again for taking the time to post these! OlCodgerDuck

Marcus Mariota Declared Falcons Starter
I like Marcus a lot, and hope this becomes his moment to break out. Go Ducks!!

Canzano: A Walk-On Story Worth Celebrating
I enjoyed the write up about Jaydon Grant. I haven't followed the Blazers for a long time, but Brian Grant will always be one of my all time favorite Blazers. It's good to hear about local kids doing great things, even if it's for the Beavers. I hope Jaydon has an outstanding year, except when the Beavs play us, of course! Go Ducks!!

Oregon OC Kenny Dillingham Has Surprises in His Coaching Tree
I'm in the car service biz (50+yrs...) and one thing I jokingly tell my coworkers and customers I have a relationship with is that the reason God put a floor board in cars is so that you can rest the accelerator pedal against it while driving. LOL!! I am looking forward (once again) to an offensive coordinator that knows how to rest the accelerator pedal on the floor board and keep his foot OFF the brake pedal! Go Ducks!!

USC: 'Is This Heaven?'...'No, it's IOWA'
Holy crap!! I don't know how heavy the bale was, but when I was bucking bales as a muuuuch younger Olcodgerduck, the grass bales in Alaska were ~65lbs, and I was lucky if I could throw it 3 - 4 feet over my head... That was an impressive bale toss!! Yikes!! I'm gonna guess that's about a 180 degree difference from the culture at usuck... LOL!! I may watch some of usuck's games after all, just so I can laugh my backside off... haha!

Washington's Recruiting? Omigosh!
So, maybe it's the whole bipolar Jekyll vs. Hyde thing... On one side you had Mari No Offense, on the other side you had Mari No Defense? Hmmm... One can only wonder! LOL!! I'm glad we're way better off now!! Go Ducks!!
