  1. Where Does Oregon Ducks' Dan Lanning Rank Among Big Ten Coaches? WWW.SI.COM Dan Lanning has found major success since joining the Oregon Ducks. He took over the reins back in 2022 and hasn't looked back. With the move from the Pac-12 to the Big Ten, a lot of new faces are going to be popping up on the leadership side. Dan Lanning of the Oregon Ducks was one of the top coaches in the Pac-12 and nothing is going to change on that front in the new league.
  2. @Charles Fischer Bizarre—I clicked your link, clicked the link to go from there to the team rankings, and it’s still has the stale info. Check out the last updated time in the top left. UPDATE: I switched to a private browser and got the updated rankings. Rivals’ caching strategy is very poor.
  3. Weird—did we already lose a recruit? The current Rivals only has us with 15 recruits and still tied for 4th. This is including Alai.
  4. 💯 This was one of the many heart-breaking truths that made the Helfrich years to disappointing.
  5. That was a well reasoned and researched article, Go Dawgs!
  6. It was 2019, Mario’s 1st game as the official head coach and Herbie’s sr year. He was the interim coach in the 2018 bowl game. The pundit forgot about Mario calling a timeout before the 1st snap at scrimmage that bowl game.
  7. Are you thinking of Jameis Winston? Unfortunately, Newton is undefeated against OBD. (Dyer was DOWN!) Newton flamed out in the NFL, so who cares what he thinks? Whatever happened to Winston, anyway? (I could google it, but I don’t really care that much. Just thought folks might have some funny anecdotes.)
  8. I could _maybe_ fill in for the 11am shift, but it would be a stretch. I would be happy to do more news hunting after work, though.
  9. I lived in Austin and worked for UT for several years. They are just as delusional as UW. No wonder they think Sark is actually a good coach.
  10. “I have a nagging suspicion that Lincoln Riley may not be as good as we thought he was when he showed up.” - minute 1:03 of video above Hahahahahahahahahahahaha, ya think?? I’ve been saying Lincoln Riley sucks since he was losing to Baylor at OK.
  11. It’s amazing what DL and WS having the #1 offense in ‘23 can do for recruiting. CK and MH could never translate their offensive genius into recruiting success.
  12. I remember this one kid, Bo Nix. He turned out to be pretty good.
  13. Kyhree was my favorite player last year. I was so excited to see what he would do in the NfL. His family and team must be devastated.
  14. tOSU might be U$C’s heir apparent in the whine department: Ohio State misses on WR target Dakorien Moore, who picks Oregon BUCKEYESWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Ducks are starting to be a problem “The Buckeyes and one of the newest members of the conference have battled it out for multiple recruits like Dorian Brew, Jordon Davison and Ajani Cornelius. Each of those battles have gone Oregon’s way, and it happened again on Thursday.”
  15. You love to see it… Dan Lanning, Ducks continue to fly past USC and Lincoln Riley TROJANSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Dan Lanning continues to smoke Lincoln Riley … and nearly everyone else … in recruiting. "Oregon is simply crushing it. USC might not be doing poorly on an objective level, but the Ducks make the Trojans look pedestrian in a two-team comparison."
  16. @Washington Waddler I totally agree. The best want to compete against the best. They (we) would rather be 3rd string and win a Natty than be a star for Deion Sanders.
  17. Did they forget that our QB won 1st team all-league in THEIR league last year? Obviously, beating THEIR quarterback? THEIR quarterback was honorable mention with 4 other QBs. Just sayin…
  18. And we’re tied for the 3rd with tOSU in average player ranking, behind FSU and LSU. Having an average of 4 stars means we have the same number of 5 stars as we do 3 stars. 😮 Oh, and our 3 stars are both large linemen, for whom 3 stars can still be eite. Our lowest ranked non-lineman is the 21st best corner in the country. Not too shabby. All of tOSU’s 3 stars are skill players. I am much happier with our class than I would be with theirs.
  19. I will say who’s not annoying: Bruins. They know exactly their place (“we’re not a football school”); they know the game; they have a gorgeous stadium; and they just want everyone to have a good time. I can’t wait for Sep 28th at the Rose Bowl!! I highly recommend!!
  20. I think that’s exactly what we’re witnessing. Oregon is becoming a brand as strong as Alabama.
  21. We can’t forget the hideous orange socks!! https://images.app.goo.gl/LnMffGDz8CMjUK7f8
  22. Graves had to be convinced to use the portal by DL. wha?? The portal is so obvious. Graves needs to go.
  23. Good to know—thanks! AI is here…
