  1. They way Mariø left Oregon was slimy. He quit on his employer, he quit on his fan base and he quit on his players. He did it in the middle of the night and snuck out the back door, figuratively. Home sweet home and the dying mother defense is empty. The way he left lacked integrity and dignity. The definition of being a man has little to do with smash mouth tuff. It has everything to do with actions in uncomfortable situation. Mariø failed those who trusted him. Nobody cared that he wanted to coach his alma mater, be with his sick mother. That's understandable. The way he left was where I take issue. Mariø, in that moment, failed miserably.
  2. Should be fun. Good seats and a great opponent. Hopefully both teams come in undefeated. Place will be rocking
  3. This video made me buy tickets to the Utes game. Section 9 row 25. Haven't been to a game in a long long time. If I remember right, section 9 is somewhere around the student section. Hope thats not to obnoxious.
  4. Utah Tavion Thomas makes me nervous. Dudes a great back. He is going to require a lot of attention. Thomas gets going early and the TE talent at Utah will shred you with play action or zone read. Utes are for real.
  5. Herb's performance at the NFL level is proof that a coaching change, no matter how it manifests, was over due at Oregon.
  6. I too was on the Lane train. 5 minutes into Lanning intro presser and my adrenaline was through the roof. Then came the championship game and I rooted like crazy for the Dawgs. More so rooting for the Duck on the sideline. Then came the coaching interviews I posted here. Wow... some of the most inspiring interviews I have ever seen. Coupled to resurrecting the 22 class and fanaticism broke the glass. Fall camp is here and season starts in a few weeks. Life is good for Duck fan.
  7. Great article. The amount of talent on this Duck team gets me super excited for this season to start. That and anything but conference realignment. DnC has Duck offense topped out at 15. Relatively high watermark imo. I like it. Hard to challenge DnC's opinion. The O-line speaks for itself. I remember, not long ago, concern about wr room and where productivity would come from. Nice to have huge optimism about the talent in that room today. Ducks lost both of their primary backs to the draft and portal. I never was impressed with Verdell or Dye but I have been spoiled with great backs over the past 2 decades. Looking at the RB room Ducks have today and I believe the talent there is going to wreak the Pac. The sorely needed bump in 3rd down efficiency alone is going put 10 on the board . TE production, as play makers, has been almost nonexistent. Under Mariø they have mostly been relegated to blocking schemes. One of the most beautiful plays to watch is 6 or 7 yard dump doubled up with 6 or 7 YAC to the TE. 1st down. As always, that leaves QB room. Shocker! There is a lot we don't know. Mariø left us with two potentialy very talented, un(der) developed underclassmen. Nix was a blue chip that struggled at AU. Why has been debated here a ton. The QB room, IMO, has huge potential talent. We will have to wait and see if they rise to the challenge of greatness or leave those of us still follicley gifted pulling our hair out. 15th best offense is huge if it can be obtained. I want to believe that ceiling is vaulted. That this team can reach top 10. Getting close to finding out. Go Ducks!

  10. I nominate Charles "FishDuck" Fischer for the Pulitzer in sports journalism. Don't get to excited Charles, few listen to me. Half the time the dog ignores me.
  11. SC showed their shade of crimson with the way they jumped out of conference. Super shady moment with shady past tells you all you need to know. Perhaps this kid is looking for integrity and upright. Nah!... it's the cash!
  12. Even if this dude finds out head coach is above his ability, which I highly doubt is the case, I am a fan of Lanning and the type of man he is authenticaly showing everyone he is. I will root a little harder for this years Duck team. I will openly root for Lanning. It will be fun to watch him grow as the season progresses. It was difficult last year when I found myself napping halfway through the third. Hoping this years team shows the enthusiasm, humility and drive for success we see in their leadership. Go Ducks!
  13. 1. Stay healthy. 2. Attack the ball as a team, half tackles and sacks for everyone. 3. Defend middle of the field 5 to 15 yards. 4. Attack line of scrimmage. 5. Long ball threat. 6. Fun fun fun
  14. I love beautiful. Especially when the insides match the outsides (rare). I like to watch others dance and sing. I like seeing people smile. Cheerleaders are men and women who participate in the game experience. They are having fun. Good times.
  15. Yea, I found no fault with it. Like you said, balls and strikes. Up to this point in Bo's career, you are over the plate. Time for him to level up.
  16. The averages are impressive. Oregon holding their own. Well done Ducks.
  17. Sewell and Flowe are going to break college football. Starting Sept 3rd Oregon is going to put the nation on notice. One month today. Let the wreckage begin.
  18. “Why would you think about failure?” Love this quote. I think it represents this entire Ducks progr'm. It not only reflects Nix himself, it also reflects who Dan Lanning and his entire staff is. I wasn't a big fan of the DnC article. Not that I don't think DnC's points are valid. They are valid and well thought out. I am just more of a cheerleader type in my fanaticisim. I am looking forward to watching Bo rise to levels nobody is expecting. He has always had the raw talent, now he has a supporting cast to see his dream through. Go Ducks.
  19. Hoping this staff is savvy enough to know who puts this team in the best position to win games. If that is Bo and he is no better than AB, Ducks have issues not easy to fix during the course of a season. I trust DL an KD have a pretty good idea of what they have in the QB room. I trust they can scheme and plan to the strengths of what is available. It's as much the coaching staffs responsibility as it is the players. Something the last staff seemed to struggle with. Bo hasn't even played a snap for Oregon. DL hasn't coached a single game. Seems a little dark to be insinuating he is a bust at this point.
  20. Prediction: Oregon Ducks to land fast-rising bluechip wide receiver - Scorebook Live NEWS.SCOREBOOKLIVE.COM Red Mountain High School (Arizona) star Ja'Kobi Lane has been a bonafide prospect for months. But he truly put...
  21. Every player on this team has to realize what's at stake for the future of Oregon. The next two years are vital. They chose Oregon, they are Ducks for life. This coaching staff needs to grow up fast. They too are Ducks. They too chose to be Ducks. Break out players? I think we are going to see a bunch of guys level up this year. Chip on the shoulder and a nasty attitude. The future of Oregon needs to be decided this year. Put college football on notice. Oregon is THE place where boys come to be men.
