“Why would you think about failure?” Love this quote. I think it represents this entire Ducks progr'm. It not only reflects Nix himself, it also reflects who Dan Lanning and his entire staff is. I wasn't a big fan of the DnC article. Not that I don't think DnC's points are valid. They are valid and well thought out. I am just more of a cheerleader type in my fanaticisim. I am looking forward to watching Bo rise to levels nobody is expecting. He has always had the raw talent, now he has a supporting cast to see his dream through. Go Ducks.

Regarding Bo Nix: Beware ‘Bandwagon Buy-In’
Log Haulin replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Hoping this staff is savvy enough to know who puts this team in the best position to win games. If that is Bo and he is no better than AB, Ducks have issues not easy to fix during the course of a season. I trust DL an KD have a pretty good idea of what they have in the QB room. I trust they can scheme and plan to the strengths of what is available. It's as much the coaching staffs responsibility as it is the players. Something the last staff seemed to struggle with. Bo hasn't even played a snap for Oregon. DL hasn't coached a single game. Seems a little dark to be insinuating he is a bust at this point. -

5 Oregon Players Who Have Breakout Potential 2022
Log Haulin replied to Tandaian's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Every player on this team has to realize what's at stake for the future of Oregon. The next two years are vital. They chose Oregon, they are Ducks for life. This coaching staff needs to grow up fast. They too are Ducks. They too chose to be Ducks. Break out players? I think we are going to see a bunch of guys level up this year. Chip on the shoulder and a nasty attitude. The future of Oregon needs to be decided this year. Put college football on notice. Oregon is THE place where boys come to be men. -
Dang it.

Let's just hope they don’t lay over in Cincinnati. Yikes! Worst airport I have ever had to grab a connecting flight at. -
Ducks will be Doves if We Go to the BIG
Log Haulin replied to Pac10again's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I doubt the networks are going to allow a B1G of SEC team be excluded. Even if both conferences best team have 2 losses. They are getting in over a 1 loss Pac/Big-12 team. They are getting in over an undefeated mid major. -

I agree with DC. Highly improbable UO is left out in the cold. USC doesn't have to like it but Oregon is going to be the team to beat in the future BIG west -
So a kid gets paid as a high-school kid and goes to the highest bidder. After a year or two the kid will start thinking about getting into the league. Money isn't an immediate concern at that point. Transfer portal will get busy with the proven talent at the college level. The busts will be weeded out. Late bloomers will rise. It will be up to Oregon to secure a staff with proven record of getting kids into the league. The portal will settle down and the best teachers/coaches will rise. I think Dan Lanning will attract the best of the best in coaching. Drawing in the best of the portal and prep recruits. College football is a coaches game. NFL is a players game. What coach will get a kid into the league will win out at the end of the day. It has always been this way, always will be.

Alex Forsyth: It's Unfair to Compare Josh Conerly to Penei Sewell
Log Haulin replied to Smith72's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I am looking for JC to perform at as high of a level as Sewell did. Ducks don't need the production early from Conerly Jr. That should help the young man. Year 2 Ducks will need him to ball out though. -

Three Reasons Why Oregon & Washington Need Each Other
Log Haulin replied to Smith72's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Big brother...pfft. thats not happening. Once we get in the B1G we will continue the hate. Until then we have some hating to do in the Pac-12. This guy should have asked a buddy. Everyone not in a coma knows the bad blood between these teams. The traitors down south take the crown. Will forever hate SC. Pity to ucla, they will forever be little brother. Suckers! -

Ducks enter B1G and lookout. Recruiting will go through the roof. Play them chumps down south EVERY year. Win your division play conf championship game. Win that your in. That's better than relying on human opinion like we would get in the Pac-10. Lanning turns out to be a great game day coach and look out. Dude can recruit and hire top talent. Thats a recipe for winning titles. B1G or bust. Get into the B1G and get in position to control our own destiny. Now doesn't that sound like a lot of fun? -

USC Killed Previous PAC-12 Expansion Efforts
Log Haulin replied to lownslowav8r's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
How can USC be in talks with B1G and simultaneously actively seek to weaken the Pac-12? Can you sit on a board of a corporation, shut down proposals that would strengthen that corporation, all while negotiating your jump to said corporations competitor? How is this even legal? -
One thing Lanning has a ton of is confidence in himself and his abilities. He grabbed a fist full and is going after the best in the country. If the B1G wants Oregon they will make it known by the end of Oct. Gives Ducks plenty of time to flip some guys before the early signing period. B1G isn't going to let uncertainty damage Oregons recruiting or brand. The stronger Oregon is the stronger B1G will be.

How Many Games Do You Think the Ducks Will Win?
Log Haulin replied to Pennsylvania Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
This could be the most talented roster the Ducks have ever fielded. This could also be the most talented coaching staff Oregon has ever assembled. A ton of unknowns but looks super promising. Going out on a limb here. Oregon catches lightning in a bottle and beats the defending champs. Supercharged the buy-in and confidence to sweep regular season. Blows out Utes in conf championship. Takes down tOSU in semi then dismantling Bama for a perfect 15-0 and a National Championship. It's pre-season and I am a fan of a highly talented Duck team. This is sport and the plausibility factor is high. Until Ducks lose, I believe 15.
