Seems Cruz gave up a preferred walk-on spot at ASU after his 2024 top DL prospect brother visited last weekend. Package deal in the works?
-
Newest 2022 commit Cruz Rushing.

I hope the game can be played and the Ducks defend the home court.

I would look for kids that made their team better, that were hard workers on the field and in the classroom, that didn’t transfer in high school, and played on winning teams.

Dana Altman is Working Another Miracle
Duck1984 replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I recall seeing a quote that the team stopped worrying about playing time and looking at their stats and started playing hard. Could have been a typical Coach quote, but it seemed to ring true as the team was out hustled in early season blowouts, but now looks much more aggressive. -
Bad Influences in Oregon High School Recruiting
Duck1984 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
It starts way before high school. My son was targeted by a classmate’s father for private coaching in the third grade. I told the guy “no thanks” to his offer to coach my son through high school to get him a college scholarship. My son enjoyed team sports, but his passion was for snowboarding. A hard fall resulted in two shoulder reconstruction surgeries and the end of his football play. The guy’s son went on to be a star for the Ducks and now plays in the NBA. -
Jon, both Verdell and Broussard were 5’8” or so sub 200lb 3* running backs out of high school. Both have had success in the Pac12, but not All American level. Broussard seems like a good addition to a roster, but not an upgrade to a heathy CJ. More like a lateral move.

Good luck CJ. Will another undersized 3* portal player from Colorado transfer to fill his spot?

Duck Fans: Oregon's Success was BOUGHT by Phil Knight
Duck1984 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
To be fair Charles, I cannot think of a Husky or Beaver alum as financially successful as Knight. Even so, could a less financially successful UW or OSU grad evolve enough from a culture of cheating, greed and jealousy to share any wealth? -
Will always consider Dye a Duck. He played hard for four years and got his degree. As I don’t see an NFL career in his future, I respect his decision to play his final year of football in front of family and friends. I don’t expect he’ll play his former team as Utah will likely win the South.

Georgia QB JT Daniels Enters the Transfer Portal
Duck1984 replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Two coaches chose other QBs when JT was healthy. Not sure if Kirby has any part of Mario in him. I don’t recall hearing boos about it. -
Georgia QB JT Daniels Enters the Transfer Portal
Duck1984 replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Can JT Daniels be considered irrelevant after losing out to other QBs at both USC and Georgia? Another Tate Martell? -
What if Travis Dye Transfers to USC or even...
Duck1984 replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Did Mario tell the whole truth? Nope. Saying that he hadn’t been in contact with the administration or AD may have been technically accurate, but an honest person knows that an agent talking to boosters as an agent on behalf of the AD is considered “in contact.” I don’t give him a pass. Travis Dye can play wherever he wants next year and will still be in my Duck hall of honor. Give that man his money if you want a warrior on your team. -
Expert NFL Betting Strategies and Tips

If monkeys throwing darts can beat stock investment gurus I can certainly pick NFL games. If I am confident that whichever team I pick will lose, do I bet on both? -
Mario Cristobal REJECTED by Another OC Candidate at Miami
Duck1984 replied to McDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
OC candidate: What is your vision for the Miami offense Mario? Coach MC: Our offensive line hand positions will give running backs A gaps so large that they can line up 7 yards back and still get a yard. -

Remember the Buckeyes at the Shoe in 2021? Remember the Utes x2 in 2021? I am not sure that a first game with Georgia will be as hard as a late season game vs Utah. -
He took a chance moving to Eugene and it didn’t work out in baseball or football. Wish him well.

Could be, but timing doesn’t make sense to me. This change of heart coincides with visits from some DL 5/4* studs. Did Lanning pull a 3* scholarship to trade up?
-
Remember the Titans ranks near the top for me. Also brought racism to the discussion.

Not sure he is on the radar.

Lanning Trying to "FLIP" Georgia Verbal/Recruit to Oregon
Duck1984 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Thanks for sharing Charles. Anyone else have mixed feelings about this? On the one hand, I don’t like the idea that a former employee of a school is allowed to leverage prior work product on behalf of his new employer. That said, if the recruit reached out based on his prior relationship with the coach, and the recruit wasn’t solid on the prior school, then of course there would be an option to consider the new school. Glad I have no say in the matter. -
Uh-Oh: Oregon Probed by NCAA About NIL Program

NCAA about ready to file for SSI and join the AARP.
