Can anybody confirm that current Georgia 2022 4* RB commit Jordan James is also visiting this weekend? If so, could that be part of the reason for Dye’s portal decision?
-
Just occurred to me that program supporters (boosters) may be working on NIL deals for recruits that existing players may not be offered. Is Dye merely negotiating to get his piece of NIL funding?
-
I realize that the Ducks have to manage scholarships, and suspect Dye has a degree. Dye is already in the NFL evaluation process, and may be looking at plan B and C options if new coaches have told him that he has to compete for his spot again.

Travis Dye may be on the smaller side physically, and he isn’t the fastest, but he plays with more heart and effort than any running back I can think of since LaMichael James. Always will love Dye.

Ducks win! Knocked off #3 UCLA in OT behind second half scoring barrage by Jacob Young. -

Ducks choked up a 6 point lead with just over a minute to play to allow UCLA a regulation tie. Hope the Ducks play more aggressively in OT. -
Why Georgia's Win was Huge for Oregon? Recruiting!
Duck1984 replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
In his media time today, Lanning said he was on a video call to an Oregon recruit while in the tunnel on his way out of the stadium. Stud. -
Everything HC Dan Lanning Said in First Offseason Press Conference
Duck1984 replied to Steven A's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Nice of him to take questions, but someone please tell the journalists to ask better questions. All we need to know is that he plans to beat his old team and the rest of the PAC! -
Rookie head coach, new starting QB, new coaching staff, player transfers. I’ll take a 10 win season, including the bowl game.

USA Today Grades Every College Football Team for 2021
Duck1984 replied to Annie's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Thanks for sharing Annie? Is that the absolute worst attempt at a team ranking you’ve ever seen? No rationale. No grading standard. No methodology. Nothing more than a WAG by the author(s). If there were a player quality ranking, a class seniority factor, an opponent win percentage, or even a Vegas odds index against the results, I could appreciate the effort. USA Today and Yahoo (for sharing) get an F on this one. -
Injuries aside, CJ seems ahead of the transferring running backs, and Dye is a warrior. The new OC may also have some players he would like to bring onboard. As the youngsters learned, you have to earn your playing time early, or you end up watching from the sideline.
-
Did anybody notice that some of the prior coach’s high ranked recruits missed some or all of prior seasons with serious injury? Seems some don’t make it to the two deep.

The return of Gang Green? Hope so.

Just Do It Chargers! LA at LV Sunday Night Football
Duck1984 replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Staley outsmarted himself with that timeout and turned the Chargers season off. What a waste of a Herbert. -
Unless there is a return on investment, the stupid money will dry up. Investing in a school or program may be understandable, but handing it over to young men in the hope that they will not blow it or the opportunity is absurd. That said, there appears to be a lot of stupid money out there now. How sad will it be to the investors when A&M doesn’t win the conference next year?

Duck Wire has an opinion starting QB in Pac12
Duck1984 replied to Red Eddy Green's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Interesting article. But the author kinda bails on the Duck QB prediction by saying he wouldn’t bet money, and it’s illogical, but the fan in him predicts Ty beats out Bo in 2022. He may be right, but his arguments seems to work against him. -
What Will The Portal And NIL Combined Become?
Duck1984 replied to Haywarduck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
After the dust settles, the early investors in pay-to-play may be dissatisfied with their investments for a number of reasons. - high school success may not prove an investable measure of college or NFL success. - highly paid college players may not work hard once they have the taste of luxury. - unpaid or underpaid players may be motivated to work harder and outshine the prima donnas. Stupid money is easily lost, and must eventually become smarter to survive. Once reason prevails, all could be well and better. -
Narrow shoulders and skinny hips do not make an NFL D line player. Lanning will find and develop a better pass rusher in time.

Ranking PAC-12 2022 out of Conference (OOC) Schedules
Duck1984 replied to Jon Joseph's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Jon, a playoff berth is not likely for a Pac12 team in 2022, and the brutal OOC matchups with a 9 game conference schedule may make it difficult for more than five teams to get a bowl invite. Millions lost for the schools. Shameful leadership. -
Will the Transfer Portal Make or Break the Huskies?
Duck1984 replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I vote “break.”
