Bo's return is truly great news on a variety of levels. Bo has proven himself to be an incredibly gifted athlete, but he is also a well grounded leader. His values, as demonstrated by his decision to stay for one more year, provide more evidence of that. One concern, however, is the injury factor. Should Bo be sidelined for a game or more, I would like to have Moore ready to go. I hope Dante considers that possibility, plus the benefits of being a Duck, before he bails on his commitment.
-
There are a lot of schools that Moore could go to and likely make an immediate impact. Something may have been passed "under the table" in LA. I feel for the Coaches who still believe that "commit" means commit.

Innovative yes, interesting to be sure. Fun to watch and listen to. His passing reminds us that every day is a gift.

Canzano: Boosters Fume as Oregon Ducks Look for Answers
Duck 68 replied to Pennsylvania Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Lanning is receiving much criticism for some fourth down calls. However, I think it was our completely porous defense in the 4th quarter that gave away the game. Had the D showed up just a little, the fourth and one calls would not have mattered. In fact, perhaps the thinking was our D can't stop anything, so we had better try anything to stay on offense. -
If Kenny Dillingham leaves for Arizona, how many of our players will pack it in and leave with him?
-
Although Coach Lanning says there were many mistakes that caused the loss, none was bigger than the bad snap on our final long drive. We were running down the clock and running through the Huskies. The winning TD was in sight. Then the bad snap caused everything to change. Painful. That play and our continuing horrible pass defense allowed the Dawgs to win. Never should have happened. Please, not the Sun Bowl again.

A Great Win ... But What's Going on With Ty Thompson?
Duck 68 replied to Mic's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I would like to see Ty play with the first team offense and in a situation where we are trying to score. The plays called for him are not designed for him to succeed. If Bo goes down, I'm not certain what we'll have at QB. -
If Bo is the best we have, our Ducks are in for a long struggle.

OMG: A Lanning Quote That Makes Me Hurl...
Duck 68 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
There is no better time to look to the future than against Eastern Washington. Play either Thompson or Butterfield because we all witnessed that Bo is not getting any better. It is time our "inexperienced" got experience. It can't get worse that last Saturday. -
Of course, the loss is not entirely Bo's fault. However, the Ducks need to look to the future and there is no time like the present. Thompson and Butterfield deserve a shot.
-
Don't beat yourself up. Many of us Duck fans, based on what our coaches and players were saying, thought we would be competitive. The good news is that we can only get better! Getting better, in my opinion, begins with starting Ty Thompson against Eastern Washington. Nix has experience, but he has experience losing. Time to build.

Hopefully the new hire will be a proven leader, not one who just checks the boxes.

Richardson Questionable for Pac-12 Tournament
Duck 68 replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
It seems that the team quit about 10 days ago ..... Not sure why, but this season was a huge disappointment -
The season long mystery of why no back-up QB got meaningful experience continued. It seems as if when Brown transferred he signed a contract guaranteeing that he would play every down unless he benched himself. Seems like a really nice young man, but he was just an average QB.
-
When it mattered Brown was Brown. Why we didn't play the future in this game and several others remains a mystery. Such a sad way to end a season that seemed to have promise. Losing 3 out of 4 in blowout fashion to end the year suggests our confidence and swagger are lost. Can we get it back in the fall of '22?

Prediction Contest for the Alamo Bowl!
Duck 68 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Brutal topic Charles. Our hearts are with the Ducks, but our minds lead us elsewhere. Since I don't want to pick our opponent, I'll sit out this contest. Whatever happens, thanks for managing FishDuck. Happy New Year! -
Alamo Bowl Gameday Thread: Why It Matters for Oregon
Duck 68 replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I'd give Brown the first quarter to produce. If the Ducks don't score 10 or more points, bring in the future. -
Our highly prized freshmen have been patient, way too patient, for their opportunity to replace Brown. Now comes Nix. The transfer portal out of Eugene is going to be very active.

Former Oregon Players Are NOT on the Fans’ Team
Duck 68 replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I think Joey's ego needed a boost and leaking the letter helped his cause. It did nothing positive for our Ducks, but we'll move forward. -
Given that the Alamo Bowl is basically a scrimmage due to the departure of both teams best players, how can not playing a new QB or 2 or 3 be justified? Hopefully, this info was sent out to deceive Oklahoma.
-
The Ducks need to play Thompson, Ashford, Butterfield, Cardwell, McGee and other under-utilized players who will be keys in 2022. Start the future now!
-
We don't need Nix ....
-
No. And it really doesn't matter who Joey wanted. What matters is who we now have to take the helm of our football program. First impressions are very good. The void caused by Mario's departure has been filled and we're moving forward. GO DUCKS!
