How to Cook a Steak: I’m Disappointed in Dan Lanning
Can bears play linebacker? The answer is yes. Hard to coach em though.

How to Cook a Steak: I’m Disappointed in Dan Lanning
Key ingredient is butter at the end no matter how you cook it. IMHO. Oh! and don’t forget to cut at a 45 degree angle to help make a cheap cut of meat more tender. Lol

BREAKING: 4-Star WR Jordan Anderson Decommits from Oregon
It’s so odd to me that the Ducks wide receiver room is no longer a worry of mine. It’s deeper than it ever has been and is about to get deeper. The thought of a 4 star jumping ship 4 years ago would have been devastating. The D line however is still a question mark. Got a lot of good players but do we have that stud that will change the game on any snap? If we do what’s his name? We need a guy on both sides of the d line that can set the edges and consistently make plays. Dorlous was supposed to be that guy and had 0 tackles in our last game against the huskies. Until we find those 2 edge guys we will struggle and looking at this roster I don’t see a guy like Tibs anywhere.

Seaton is a Buff
Not sure I really have an opinion about who is going to win the big 12 but I do know who has the beast coach and it’s not Colorado.

Does Capable Mean Probable?
IMO until the ducks can stop the running game when they need to they have little chance against the power football teams and a natty. The Ducks gave up over 250 yards to Johnson in 2 games that they needed to win to me that is a big failure and can’t happen when you are against playoff teams. Can they fix this? Maybe Have they shown signs that they can? Not consistently. Will they do it? We certainly hope they will. Will they do it next year? Probably not. Granted we have some young studs on this team and most of the COVID players are shuffled thru by now. Most teams will be getting young again so we should be just behind the blue bloods. In 2 years we will have the nucleus of DLs guys plus a sprinkling of transfers and a couple of years playing in the B1G. By then we will probably have the answers.

Where Our Coaches Rank in the BIG and Nationally in Regard to Recruiting

Updated and Admin Revised: Top Rated Recruiting Class: Who Cares?!
What little Innocents that college football had is gone and never will return. Greed and our governing bodies have seen to that. Miss managed businesses usually fail and the Pack is proof of that. Sad we only get to know our team for a shorter time than before. So I will buckle up and enjoy the ride until I just can’t take it any more.

Oregon’s Move to Big Ten Helps to Keep Lanning
I do think that college coaches put in way more time than NFL coaches. There are always exceptions but the transfer portal and recruiting are rigorous jobs all by themselves then add the regular season. Have no idea how these guys get any sleep. Just think of the air miles these guys are putting in. Makes an nfl job look like a cake walk. Average salary in the nfl for head coaches is 6.6 million. KS will make somewhere around 12 million this year as Jon just stated. He would take a huge cut in wages if he went to the Falcons. Average tenure for an nfl job is 3.2 years. I am with Jon here that KS might be making the career blunder of his life leaving the Dogs for the falcons. He might have a better roster also at Georgia. Lol

What? Washington Best O-Line in the Country?
Well I hate to admit it but they did handle our defensive line in the last game quite easily so maybe they are that good. We will find out soon.

Updated and Admin Revised: Top Rated Recruiting Class: Who Cares?!
I’m with you DanL but it is what it is. Hopefully this will slow as DL continues to recruit like he has. Hopefully there will be less of a need for the portal players and we can grow more from within. That being said we will probably always have to grab That Guy when he is available that we can’t live without.

Oregon’s Move to Big Ten Helps to Keep Lanning
If you’ve ever been to Georgia the humidity is pretty unbearable at times. They do have some good bars however.

Can Someone Explain Aaron Fentress?
Aaron has always been a bit of a Negative Nelly. Anthony and Joey just shake their heads when Aaron spews out the negativity. If you don’t watch Talking Ducks I would suggest it instead of dancing with stars. Lol Jorden, Anthony, and Joey have some interesting takes although Joey takes forever to spit it out. It’s on you tube every week during the season.

Large Number of Oregon's 2024 Recruiting Class to Enroll Early
Interesting to read the Bios of this talented bunch. If you get time take a look. I like to see the number of other schools who recruited these young studs actually tells us a lot. Love the size of most of the Dbs. Maybe we can take over as Linebacker University sooner than later. Go 🦆🦆🦆s

Podcast: Dan Lanning Building An SEC Team Out West
I said this in another thread but it deserves repeating. Lanning is filling his roster with extremely good players at every position and going deeper with talent than ever before. Not sure what Dans IQ is but his football talent IQ is off the charts.

I heard in this forum that Novosad is looking forward to the completion. Really. I guess that is what he should say. Hope it’s true.

Oregon Legacy WR FLIPS From USC to Oregon!
I need to go back to bed and wake up again. Dan and company are taking care of any weakness that could be forthcoming at all positions. Never seen anything like this in Eugene in my 75 years. Crazy!! My old brain just can’t keep up.

USUC Sinking Ship

Any Ty Thompson Updates?
Could be wrong but I don’t see him landing at a blue blood program unless they have an established QB. That only means TT will be sitting again and he is running out of time. I agree it was time for him to go and I hope he finds a place where he can get some meaningful snaps but I have my doubts.

How Oregon Can Optimize Dillon Gabriel
I agree that the QB is the most important player on any roster, just quoting the obvious here. In my mind to compete and win the conference next season is an improvement in the trenches and our defense over all. I’m not too worried about the o-line which I think will be stable enough to get the job done. Front seven needs to be better than this season. We are loosing a few key players and replacing them may be a tough ask. I have confidence that our coaches might get this done but after watching the mutts make our run defense look so bad in the championship game my confidence is very low at the moment.

Breaking: Transfer QB Dante Moore to Oregon
I guess all this means our coaches are staying put for now, which is extremely important.

Evidently usc Won't be Developing This QB
If Riley had not brought Williams into the fold at usuc he would have been lucky to have been 500. Williams won more games for Riley with his heroics than Riley’s genius would have ever gotten him. He better bolt for an nfl job while his seat is still a bit warm. I’m sure someone is going to need an offensive coordinator up there soon. Should be lots of openings after the nfl regular season. I could see usuc being a bottom dweller next season and that would just break my heart. This is just my opinion of coarse.😃

Is Developing Quarterbacks a Thing of the Past?
I just wonder how much time is actually spent trying to develop QBs. I do know that Herbert was held back because of a conservative coach that doesn’t know a lick about offense. It seems QBs now days, even in the NFL, need to use their legs to be effective and when you have poor quality backups the risk of running them is far too great. An offensive coordinator trying to coach QBs seems like a big ask. If Stein in the QB coach, which I assume he is, then is it too much to ask of him or is he really qualified. In my mind it would be easier to steel a good one with a track record than to spend lots of time to develop a 5 star that should already be good according to rivals. The big draw back here is trying to teach the guy a new system if he only has 1 year left. I hear there are over 100 QBs in the transfer portal this season so it’s pretty obvious the Ducks aren’t the only program with a serious problem. Not sure how to fix it. It’s for sure the NCAA doesn’t know either.
