Ducks 35-10 1 TO 4 Sacks 319 Passing -
Saw this quote on Josh Pate's YouTube channel: @MSJsetter13 1 day ago Was at the game as an Ohio State fan. 50yd line, 6 rows from the field. Easily the loudest stadium I’ve been in. Horseshoe has never sounded like that.

NBC Broadcasters: "Welcome to the B1G?"
DUCati855 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I apologize as I signed out after the first obvious tOSU biased call. My sensitive mind couldn't deal with it. The Ducks won a close game... that wasn't nearly as close as the score would have you think. UO>>>>>>> than tOSU. -
So Many Doubters...Lanning Wins a B1G One!
DUCati855 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
After the obvious tOSU bias on the first drive... I couldn't watch. Thankfully the better team actually won... despite the refs. I'll sleep well tonight and be far too energetic tomorrow. Go Ducks! -

QuackyQuack and I are on the same page. Ducks win big! 42-10 3 TOs 3 Sacks 302 Yards Passing Autzen breaks the Arrowhead's Guinness World Record as the loudest stadium (142.2 dBs) at 143.9 dBs. Yes, I'm drinking green coffee this morning. -
Is Anyone Going to Game Day Friday or Saturday?
DUCati855 replied to Annie's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
If I were 35-40 younger I would definitely be going. I'll watch with an IPA in hand on Friday... and a quad shot latte on Saturday. That's how I roll now. Ha! -

Oregon Offense: Will Stein Backs Up His Vow
DUCati855 replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Thank you Charles. Always great to see the complexities of this offense. It takes slow motion for me to recognize them. But, these plays are beautifully designed at multiple levels. Will Stein does seem to be playing 3D chess while my mind is looking for checkers. Great stuff! -
Are Oregon Transfers Forever Ducks?

If I remember correctly... His pregnant wife/girlfriend had just graduated and received a job offer in LA (where both their families are from). If so, I give him a pass. -

Are Oregon Transfers Forever Ducks?
DUCati855 replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
"Once a Duck, always a Duck" rings true to most. But, not all. Each situation needs to be considered individually. There are too many unique situations to throw out a blanket statement like that. To me. One must have truly been a Duck while in Eugene. By this I mean: put in the effort, gave their all, committed themselves completely into their role. This doesn't necessarily mean they succeeded. But, that they truly tried to succeed and left without drama/baggage. Helfrich- Yes. Mario- Yes. Slick- No. Dye- Yes. Tyner- Yes. McCormick- Yes. Addison- No. I try not to judge harshly as people must make personal decision for themselves and their families. But, one should be able to make those decisions with grace and dignity. -

Gabriel Game-Plan: Ignore the Longer Passes?
DUCati855 replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
From where I was sitting (about halfway up on the north side). There were two things that SEEMED obvious. 1) Gabriel was told not to run. There were several times early in this game he rolled out, had 15 yards of open field in front of him, yet chose to unnecessarily throw instead. Idaho picked up on this and knew they did not need to defend it. 2) Gabriel does not see the entire field as well as our QB's in the past. I feel part of the reason for this is his height. In 3 out of the 4 images in the article his vision is obstructed by larger humans. It felt as if he was told to stay planted and simply dink and dunk to nearby receivers. He didn't even use his feet to get larger views of the field. It felt purposeful. My two cents: The Ducks had a VERY simple plan for this game. They knew they could win on talent alone and didn't want to show any of their cards to future opponents. At the end of the day, they won, saw their points of need, and got a feel for real contact. Now it is time to take that experience and build on it. Luckily the schedule ramps up gradually over the first three weeks. They do not have to rush it. But, they MUST learn (from this game) and improve after each of the next two games. -
Too Many Articles Posted? Your Feedback PLEASE....
DUCati855 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Unfortunately, I've been far to busy to read many of the articles posted the last few months. Having one site to go to is so much simpler than searching on my own. Thanks to all who have been working so hard to post them all. PennsylvaniaDuck set a high standard. You all are doing her proud. Thank you. However, I will say this. I read everyone's comments more than I read the articles. You my Duck friends are why I come to this forum. I appreciate all of you. -

Was THIS the Game that Began the Modern Era to You as Well?
DUCati855 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I will never forget that day. My sister in law and I were the only ones in green in a section of all purple. Washington fans were completely abusing us until Kenny saved our day! Turning point for the entire program, fans included.
