  1. Yes, a close loss probably won't even cost us much. But we need to go into this game with a must-win mentality. Dare I say this - this team needs to be as prepared as the 2021 team under MariNo when we visited Columbus. We need to keep the foot on the gas pedal from the kick-off and never let go. As to match-ups, I think our D will hold their own. The question is which offense shows up Saturday - the one that played the 1st half or 2nd half of the UCLA game?
  2. Vary sane and zen perspective indeed. But this is football! We want to win both the mid-term and final. You brought up last year, which is exactly my point - we failed both mid-term and final. Let's hope we don't repeat that this year! Go Ducks!
  3. Just watched the game recap coz we were at the Cirque Du Soleil show Saturday 🤣 Got to say the game showed how vulnerable Alabama was, especially the defense. Or maybe Vandy with QB Pavia is vastly underrated this year. Alabama Offense has all the talents and it showed in all the crazy catches and throws, but their D simply couldn't stop a solid, but not flashy Vandy offense. Hate to say this, but the game reminded me a little bit of our loss to the rodents 4 years ago. It was hard fought, but the more talented team simply got out-hustled and muscled. Every top-5 team should watch this game as a lesson of humility.
  4. Looking forward to his matchup against Herbert next Sunday! Lots of former OBD players in that game.
  5. That's exactly why nobody wants them.
  6. I do follow and watch Tulane football. TT unfortunately still hasn't improved much. He is only put in the game whenever they need a short yardage QB draw play, typically near the goal line. That's why his stat looks deceivingly good. His throwing is still very inaccurate. At least he will be getting a degree from a good school, but don't count on him playing after college.
  7. Coach Mari No, let's take a timeout before first play of the game and run the ball when you have 30 seconds left in the game and a 3-point lead so your guy can fumble! 😎
  8. As fun as it is to watch them suffer at others' hands, it always feels a bit empty. I'd much rather watch OBD obliterate them. Hope the two programs continue to trend in current directions and we can do that this year!
  9. Football yes, but Zag will contribute in BBall.
  10. The Pig-2 did land Gonzaga for basketball as 8th school. So that's a win of sorts, I guess...
  11. Phew indeed! Wish Herbert would perform better...
  12. I know this may be premature at this juncture, but shouldn't it just be as simple as the top 12 ranked teams playing, as the long-term goal? If G5 teams can't crack the top 12, they can have their own playoff. Seeing more of OBD vs Liberty doesn't do anyone any good.
  13. This is good news! No. 8 Oregon football tight end Terrance Ferguson ‘doing well’ after leaving UCLA game due to injury WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM Ferguson, who had an 18-yard catch earlier in the half, was evaluated for a head injury and will not return to tonight’s game, according to Fox’s Josh Sims.
  14. And Georgia, how they fought back after 7-30 HT against Alabama. I really don't feel OBD has that kind of fight right now. Hope I am wrong.
  15. I hope you are right about that being a designed strategy. Although if that were indeed the case, shouldn't we have played the backups more, and kept DG out of harms way, especially since their D was playing dirty? And right after HT, shouldn't we have at least played hard for a couple of series and got some scores, after that pick-6, instead of being blanked for the entire quarter?
  16. I wouldn't say that and certainly hope the team doesn't read this kind of articles. This is a classic trap game. MSU is much better than UCLA and they have a skillful coach that has a life-long grudge against us. My prediction is that we win by 2 scores and it will take all 4 quarters.
  17. Yeah, I shook my head immediately too after that pick. I am sure it's much easier to be smart watching from my couch, but I am sure that's a teachable moment, like dropping the ball at/before crossing the goal line. Those are things that will be costly in close games against quality opponents.
  18. Boise State 21. They did win convincingly against the thief up north. Looking back, we were lucky to get past them and that win will definitely help OBD down the road. Go Ducks!
  19. The Offense's no show in 2nd half is indicative of an issue throughout this season and maybe in the last season as well - our seeming inability to adjust and motivate at half time. Sure, UCLA had one grudge-bearing former duck that was wreaking havoc on us, taking out Fergeson and intercepted a ball. So we just folded after that? That's unacceptable if we want to win the B1G or go beyond. The leaders of OBD team need to be mentally tougher! BTW, not wishing for anyone to get hurt, and I am not noble, but was nice to see Tez knocked out Addison in Q3...😎
  20. OBD Of course 49-28 2 Turnovers 2 Sacks 350 passing yards
  21. It's hard, but I say let's try to root for the dawgs until we face them. That's the best for OBD. Regardless we do need to get over that 3-loss hump resoundingly. I'd rather we beat them directly than watching them suffer at others' hands. It will make us feel much better if we cream the dawgs when they are highly ranked.
  22. I read that too. If that's the only thing the kid could come up with, the little bears are in trouble...
  23. Like I said before, MW should take the $ they (will) get from Pig2 to buy/keep teams. Now they are doing it. Love it. Both have 7 teams now, 1 short of requirement. It would be fun to see which one becomes their target and how high the bid goes. Let me make more pop corns!
  24. A lesson in basic contract law - put it in writing, man! Even a piece of napkin is better than nothing.
