  1. DL should follow Chip's lead and bench Holden like Blount. We did get LaMike out of that decision and still went to Rose Bowl, so I am sure someone else will step up to finish the season for Holden.
  2. I think this is got to be the first time OBD game is on CBS during regular season, right? Same as NBC last Saturday. B1G is on every major network. Talk about the exposure! On the other hand, I guess it's a good thing the poor rodents got CW, where only a couple of hundred thousand viewers watch their pathetic performances. Again, the market does what the market does... 😎
  3. This is a dangerous trap game. Hopefully we keep our head and deliver the blowout as expected!
  4. Actually I disagree. Without the timeout, we would have sacked their QB and ended the game there, right? So I guess it's a brilliant penalty since it worked in our favor. Quite a gamble, I would say. Hope DL really is that sneaky, LOL. Just a crazy ending to a classic battle. It really was anyone's game. Go Ducks!
  5. Yes, he is probably the most successful ex-Duck. Wonder what could've been had he stuck around OBD... Hope he makes it to the next level.
  6. Too early to celebrate yet since they now want to review, of course!
  7. It's like a payday loan. Fair game I guess, and just a matter of time before investors try to capitalize on this NIL craze. I wouldn't say it's necessarily bad. If you need the $ today, this can work out. Plus they bare some risk in case the kid flames out and doesn't perform down the road.
  8. Makes sense, just like having one big league for the power-4 and another for G5, etc, with divisions. Basically NFL model is the way to go, now that athletes are paid like pros already...
  9. Again, this is another clear sign of the market speaking. We live in a market economy after all and college sports should reflect that. The rodents draw small audiences and that's exactly what they deserve. They are mediocre and playing an even more inferior opponent. What else do you expect?
  10. You were right on the money! Today Canzano says the following. 568,000*5=2,840,000! How about that? 🤣
  11. Yes, a close loss probably won't even cost us much. But we need to go into this game with a must-win mentality. Dare I say this - this team needs to be as prepared as the 2021 team under MariNo when we visited Columbus. We need to keep the foot on the gas pedal from the kick-off and never let go. As to match-ups, I think our D will hold their own. The question is which offense shows up Saturday - the one that played the 1st half or 2nd half of the UCLA game?
  12. Vary sane and zen perspective indeed. But this is football! We want to win both the mid-term and final. You brought up last year, which is exactly my point - we failed both mid-term and final. Let's hope we don't repeat that this year! Go Ducks!
  13. Just watched the game recap coz we were at the Cirque Du Soleil show Saturday 🤣 Got to say the game showed how vulnerable Alabama was, especially the defense. Or maybe Vandy with QB Pavia is vastly underrated this year. Alabama Offense has all the talents and it showed in all the crazy catches and throws, but their D simply couldn't stop a solid, but not flashy Vandy offense. Hate to say this, but the game reminded me a little bit of our loss to the rodents 4 years ago. It was hard fought, but the more talented team simply got out-hustled and muscled. Every top-5 team should watch this game as a lesson of humility.
  14. Looking forward to his matchup against Herbert next Sunday! Lots of former OBD players in that game.
  15. That's exactly why nobody wants them.
  16. I do follow and watch Tulane football. TT unfortunately still hasn't improved much. He is only put in the game whenever they need a short yardage QB draw play, typically near the goal line. That's why his stat looks deceivingly good. His throwing is still very inaccurate. At least he will be getting a degree from a good school, but don't count on him playing after college.
  17. Coach Mari No, let's take a timeout before first play of the game and run the ball when you have 30 seconds left in the game and a 3-point lead so your guy can fumble! 😎
  18. As fun as it is to watch them suffer at others' hands, it always feels a bit empty. I'd much rather watch OBD obliterate them. Hope the two programs continue to trend in current directions and we can do that this year!
  19. Football yes, but Zag will contribute in BBall.
  20. The Pig-2 did land Gonzaga for basketball as 8th school. So that's a win of sorts, I guess...
  21. Phew indeed! Wish Herbert would perform better...
  22. I know this may be premature at this juncture, but shouldn't it just be as simple as the top 12 ranked teams playing, as the long-term goal? If G5 teams can't crack the top 12, they can have their own playoff. Seeing more of OBD vs Liberty doesn't do anyone any good.
  23. This is good news! No. 8 Oregon football tight end Terrance Ferguson ‘doing well’ after leaving UCLA game due to injury WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM Ferguson, who had an 18-yard catch earlier in the half, was evaluated for a head injury and will not return to tonight’s game, according to Fox’s Josh Sims.
