Oh Brother: New B1G Rumors Stir the Pot
Steven A replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Sorry, but wake me when whatever ink that needs to be dry, is. Until then, all this static is in the "life's too short" category, as I wouldn't get the time back that I "would have" spent reading it. P.S. I skipped to the end of this topic in order to make my "last" post on these rumor-mill headlines. P.P.S. Someone will have to take up my moderating slack on these topics. -

Just DON"T Do It. Not good for the "student athlete". Oregon money will always be there. Might benefit the "athlete-sometime-goes-to-class-just-here-for-possible-pro-career-and-chicks student"

NCAA Makes Massive Decision on Transfer Rules
Steven A replied to Pennsylvania Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Evidently the new NCAA prez, Charlie Baker former Governor of Mass, is Emmert 2.0. -
Hey Dana, if you want more fans in the stands, then hold a fan free throw contest, anyone who makes 50%, gets 1) season tickets, and 2) preferred walk-on status!

Tara: "I know our men's team would be ecstatic to play two games in the NCAA tournament." Did not see that coming. I guess she does not like being the first #1 seed to not advance to the sweet sixteen since 2009. Warms my heart after a quote like that.

Oregon and the Pac-12 in a Six-Year Trial?
Steven A replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
"Que sera sera" and "Just win baby". We'll be fine as we have "relative" strength in our guardian uncle. I'm also glad the canaries in So Cal will be testing the "truck stop conference's" (kudos to Mr. Walton) coal mine. I sure we'll hear from some disgruntled student athletes after they graduate or transfer back to the Pac about the insanity of the travel and weather in some of their new locations. -

The Pac-10 Conference - Time to Fight Back?
Steven A replied to Jon Joseph's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Thanks Jon, how many continuing ed credits is your post worth? I say 1 hour minimum, as I have spent more time getting less information from other seminars. In CA I think there was also tortuous interference with contract "intentionally damages someone else's contractual or business relationships with a third party, causing economic harm."* *Legal disclaimer: the above is not meant to give legal advice nor imply an attorney-client relationship with Fishduck or the poster. -
Six Ducks included in updated 247Sports transfer portal top 150 rankings 247SPORTS.COM Six Ducks included in updated 247Sports transfer portal top 150 rankings Plus some that didn't make the list are up there. Interesting that the ducks are 9th nationally, but 4th in the Pac 12 (2nd in the Pac 10)

Pac-12 Football: In George We Trust
Steven A replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Thanks Darren. Yours is about the only article worth reading on the Media rights situation until it is announced. Yes, trust GK. Larry made a great media deal . . . until it wasn't. It was too long and obsolete once the next conference signed their deal. Not having an escape clause upon the next Power 5 deal was the death knell, that and a Kardasian lifestyle. -
Yes, a "damned if you do, and damned if you don't" situation. Probably won't be the last time and probably a good precedence set.
