  1. Per Jon Wilner, pay site: "What we do know is this: The regents have the authority to rescind the decision — and seemingly could do it without a vote or approval of the full board." Hopefully the Regents read Mr. Walton's "spot-on take".
  2. Why Oregon could be most interesting team in College Football Playoff race WWW.ESPN.COM After losing 49-3 to Georgia, Oregon was all but an afterthought. But since then, the Ducks have rallied behind Dan Lanning, so how might the CFP committee evaluate them?
  3. I think Chip will always get credit for a high-octane Oregon offense regardless of who is coaching it and what the nuances are, and I am fine with that.
  4. Looking to the future, my Cristobal (which thankfully is now in Miami) says no bonkers this year.
  5. I hope Bo doesn't get sued for getting his former coach fired.
  6. College football expert says Oregon ‘very much’ feels like an SEC program SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM How does Oregon compare to SEC programs from an experience standpoint? 247Sports' Josh Pate says the Ducks 'very much' feel like an SEC team.
  7. Oregon vs. Colorado: Ducks open as massive favorites in Boulder DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Ducks are massive favorites on the road against Colorado next week. It feels like a spot where they want to dominate the Buffaloes from start to finish.
  8. 56 - 17 Duck crew in a boat race 3 TO 5 sacks 285 passing yds
  9. Over at the half, TT and JB both get reps in the second half.
  10. OSU & WSU, don't want Utah interfering with our recruiting. And Cal . . . take that ucla to your BIG basement.
  11. I did notice that early in the last drive we weren't using the whole clock, 15+ seconds left when snapped. I supposed that was a blend of bleeding the clock but keeping some tempo for momentum.
  12. Scroll down to see George K's response. Plus "Schools cannot provide free contract review services to athletes, unless it is open to the general student body." Well, that's an easy end-run, offer it to all students. How many non athlete-students are presented with contracts while a student?
  13. Same for Mrs. Steven A (45 years in the making) P.S. Pregame shot
  14. I prefer 8, no byes. Byes are a two-edge sword. The team that gets one is fresher, the team that doesn't, has had a shorter layoff and is more battle tested. How much time lapses from the end of the regular season to the first playoff? It is like the beginning of the season when a team that played in week zero has an advantage over a team they play in week one that hasn't played yet. The opting out factor will probably be lessened as the lure of a Natty (thanks Cliff for your stamp on college football) since that is the reason these athlete students "play the game" (thanks Herb) herb+edwards+"just+play+the+game" - Bing video WWW.BING.COM
  15. It would be better to use the end of the third quarter stats, not including the garbage-time stats.
  16. My "eye-ball" test doesn't see any trap games, and Lanning & Co.'s coaching reinforces my cataracts.
  17. A one point UCLA had not punted, no turnovers, scored on all of their possessions and trailed by 22. NICE
  18. 33 / 24 Ducks. (in order to save toner, Charles please note all future predictions will have the Ducks winning) 2 TO 3 Sacks 222 passing
  19. Wouldn't it be cool if a kid took the deal and then ratted out the school for tampering and transferred back!
  20. Depends: now, No; 2009 maybe, leaning towards maybe not (see Hef). Of course, had he come to Oregon with a 46 - 7 overall record, then Yes (well maybe).
  21. "So welcome back, Chip. But may your flight back to L.A. be quiet and long." And may our homecoming spoil yours.
