I think we are past, UNFORTUNATELY, looking out for the student in student-athlete. Therefore, a Texas foothold is a plus/must. Now those kids, they grow them big down there, can have games close to their families. This might help the WSUs and OSUs wherein instead of all games several connecting flights away, at least once a year they are home. I think Altman used this in BBall a while back wherein he always tried to have at least a non-conference game close to a recruit's family.

And that is why PACannibaliztion will be at an all-time high this year. Most teams, at least percentage wise in the top 25, and first conference eliminated from contention since the league can't shield the top from the top like SomE (C) league is able to do.
