Jon, thank you for your insight but it makes me want to gag. Not your writing of course but college football as we know it is officially dead and buried. When NIL showed up, that was the end. The new transfer portal with no one year waiting was the second straw. You just have to know that boosters are now out buying talent as we speak. I was in a gift shop yesterday and wearing my Covid mask which is an Oregon Duck mask. In walk a younger married couple and he flashes me the "O". He says " You must be the one driving the GMC Yukon outside with California plates "Autzen 1". I said "That would be me" I am feeling pretty smug that I am really flying the colors. He then mentions that he and his wife have season tickets to Autzen. I then notice and mention that he has an "O" bracelet. He says that is nothing. He then rolls up his sleeve and has the "O" with the feathers on each side tatooed on his right forearm. At that point I said "I surrender" and we both had a good laugh.

Very thorough article Darren. Now I think I have a good understanding of what is going on. What is unfortunate is Mario leaving just before national signing day. Anthony Brown had a QBR rating of 7.7 yesterday not 77 but 7.7. Has Mario explained why he did not replace AB? Can anyone explain why Mario did not replace AB? With Moorhead headed out the door I doubt that he had any input to this decision.
