If I was in Vegas I would absolutely put a decent amount on Boise to cover. They have the ability to sustain long drives and keep the clock moving with their running game. Remember, the clock doesn’t stop on first downs anymore. They also have some good WR’s and an experienced QB in case Oregon tries to stack the box to shut down the run. These guys are no joke. As for the Ducks, they are what we saw on Saturday until they prove different. This offense doesn’t have Bo, Bucky, JPJ or Troy anymore. Those guys are all on NFL rosters. Those are significant losses.

It seems that Disney is pulling the same shenanigans they pulled with Spectrum Cable last year. They’re pulling ESPN and ABC channels until DirecTV meets their demands. They view cable and satellite TV as a dying breed, so they’re going to get as much money out of them as possible before they go away. The second article talks about ESPN’s survival plan for the future. They’re saying they need to be relevant for the next generation of sports fans. Bottom line is we’re going to see a lot more of this from these sports media sites as their contracts with the cable companies expire. USuC’s defense is showing improvement. Their offense is what you would expect. Braden Swinson from LSU is a former Duck. He isn’t doing too bad other than his lack of tackling skills.

I can’t tell if they kept the offensive playbook closed. I will say that 107 rushing yards is no bueno. Defense did fine.

Idaho is disciplined on defense. They’re keeping everything in front of them. The good thing about Gabriel is he’s not trying to force long throws. The running game needs work. Cornelius isn’t doing great, but those illegal formation calls were ticky tacky. He probably lined up like that all last season and didn’t get called.

I want to see the streak of former Oregon coaches getting fired in their next job continue.

This prediction had more to do with Dabo than UGA. The Dawgs will always be good because Kirby is willing to consistently improve. Dabo refuses to embrace the portal, so he’s going to get left behind.

At least Dan got 6 points against UGA as a rookie head coach.

First official prediction of the year! (Not counting Charles, of course) Oregon wins 49-6 (the new running clock after first downs will shorten the game). 2 TO’s 2 Sacks 297 passing yards.

I have a feeling this will be a 3+ TD win for Kirby. In fact, I would be surprised if Clemson scores 14 points. I really like Dabo, but he loves to tout his past record. Just ask Tyler from Spartanburg. CFB is a “What have you done for me lately” business and Kirby is constantly improving. You don’t see him turn his nose up at the transfer portal like Dabo does. If anybody is wondering who Tyler from Spartanburg is, he’s a dude who called into Dabo’s radio show and criticized his 4-4 record last year after week 8. Dabo went on to chastise him for being part of the problem because he expected too much from the future instead of appreciating the past. Tyler from Spartanburg is also a cult hero because Clemson rattled off 5 straight wins after his criticism.

I watched Western Carolina take it to NC State for a couple of quarters before running out of steam. The ACC is going to be in rough shape this season if Mario doesn’t beat the Gators tomorrow. He may be their only hope of a decent team. We all know Clemson will get steamrolled tomorrow.

The same thing happened last year with Spectrum Cable refusing to broadcast ESPN. Of course, they went off the air just as the Utah/Florida game was about to start. Spectrum lost a ton of customers that weekend according to the lady who helped us cancel our cable service. We did keep their internet service. It’s fast and there aren’t many options in my neck of the woods. Also, it was ESPN who moved the goalposts and charged Spectrum huge rates to carry their channels. ESPN knew that the start of football season was the best time to Jack up their rates. The B1G is basically doing the same thing to Comcast. They’re telling the cable companies “Either pay our prices or your customers will find another way to watch our channels”.

I only sit in aisle seats so that narrows it down to 4. Row 5 is out because I would probably not be good ant making eye contact with the young lady next to me and also James Franklin would be across the aisle and he annoys me. Row 3 is out because I would be between two of the most fake coaches in the country. Row 1 is out because Lincoln Riley. So, that leaves seat 2D. I could bum beers from Gundy across the aisle and then talk trash to Sark about his record vs. Oregon. Win/win.
