  1. Ducks 45-24 2 TO’s 1 Sack 269 yards passing Once again I think DL plays vanilla defense to get ready for Colorado.
  2. I will admit that Jay Norvell might be onto something with his comments. He basically told his guys “I just wrote a check that you guys are going to have to cash”. He’s forcing his guys to fight or back down. If anything, the game will be salty. There is a high chance of cheap shots, ejections, etc. I will be watching this one for sure. Norvell is obviously angry about having to pull his players out of game prep to have them interview with ESPN for the Gameday sequences. He’s also angry because it’s all happening because he got sucked into the “Deion Show”. Read his quote in this article and you will see that he’s pretty salty about Deion getting a HC position strictly because of his fame while he had to wait forever for his shot. This is his one and only chance to hype himself and his program. I have to say that it’s a good start. His comments about Deion won the internet today. Jay Norvell jabs at Deion Sanders ahead of Colorado rivalry game - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM Colorado State coach Jay Norvell took a jab at Deion Sanders, saying, "When I talk to grown-ups, I take my hat and my glasses off."
  3. If a team needs quotes and pictures on a bulletin board to get them motivated to win a game then they’re not that good to begin with. Great players stay focused and play in the moment and I’m sure Deion knows that. His guys will be ready nonetheless. However, Deion also knows that controversy get the fans and media all lathered up and focuses attention on him and his team. Attention is great for money and recruiting. He’s been a master of marketing and promotion for almost 40 years. He’s like a Don King and Jake Paul all rolled into one. It’s quite genius, actually.
  4. That was more of a slam on their entire athletic program. They can’t win in the Pac, so they headed back to their old conference. If they take it personally then that’s their problem. Just play football and don’t lose composure when they start yapping. Oregon isn’t TCU, Nebraska or CSU. The Ducks will have just as much to prove as Colorado does.
  5. I know why they dropped the “Rainbow” from men’s sports, but since it delves into politics, I will let you guys figure that one out on your own. However, they have since had a change of heart and are now called the Rainbow Warriors. They’ve been known to go back to their retro uniforms which look pretty cool.
  6. Did Burch play last night? I noticed he didn’t record a stat. I also had multiple games going with no sound so I didn’t have my full attention on the Ducks game.
  7. I’ve been to a night game at Jones Stadium (Texas in 2000). This played out almost the exact same. I like Tyler Shough because he’s an alum, but I’m glad he was throwing passes for Tech at the end.
  8. Miami is forcing those mistakes by A&M. Their defense is darn good. Two of the Aggie TD’s are off of TO’s on special teams.
  9. It was likely Iowa’s visitors locker room.
  10. It’s probably holding 40-45K right now. Good by last year’s standards, but that’s how much Oregon had for PSU. Aggie fans travel pretty well, so I would say they’re making up a decent amount of the attendance. Mario has his defense playing pretty good and his offense looks a lot more creative. His team just needs to clean up the untimely penalties.
  11. If Miami can’t fill their stadium when hosting a team with a cult following like A&M then they have problems.
  12. The one area in which they are not sloppy is ball security. They don’t turn the ball over.
  13. Utah’s youth at QB is obvious today. Clemson is officially in big trouble as a program.
  14. Colorado is pretty legit. It will be a one score game when they come to Autzen.
  15. I don’t know what Cal’s setup is now, but it looked like a Jr.High locker room a few years ago. The Oregon locker rooms that are under the stands in the west end zone were pretty “cozy” as well. At the end of the day, players only care about playing. The locker rooms are for taking a leak and changing clothes.
  16. They play like last year’s Iowa offense.
  17. There is a walk-through video in this article. This doesn’t look any worse than some of the visiting locker rooms I’ve seen. First look inside visiting player locker room for Texas Tech football's 2023 opponents WWW.LUBBOCKONLINE.COM Red Raiders' opponents have air-conditioned trailer complex in east parking lot of Jones AT&T Stadium
  18. You won’t find a TTU alum or fan from the Mike Leach era who believes anything Adam James or Craig James had to say about the “abuse” Adam apparently suffered. It’s a well known fact that he manipulated the entire story and TTU chancellor Kent Hance fired Leach because he wouldn’t write an apology letter. I would challenge anyone to read the emails from Adam James’s former coaches describing his character and work ethic. He even admitted in his own deposition that the trainer took him to the media room and said “stay here”. However, since the trainer was standing near the door of the electrical room, Adam said he “thought that’s where the trainer wanted him to stay”. He then proceeded to take a dramatic video of the room with his cell phone. The kid is a slimeball. He tried to ruin a coach’s career because he didn’t like being disciplined and he thought he wasn’t seeing the field enough. He got booed every time he touched the ball and was heavily booed by his own fans on Senior Day. The only person with less credibility is his father. The guy who said he received only “insignificant” benefits when he played for SMU basically laying the blame on Dickerson and his other former teammates for the teams demise. ESPN did themselves and the college football world a huge favor by washing their hands of that guy. Adam James is the kind of kid who was born on third base, but thinks he hit a triple. To this day he runs a company that his daddy started for him. He calls himself the co-founder, though. He’s still full of BS. Mike Leach, on the other hand, will be inducted into the TTU Hall of Honor this month when they host Houston. I doubt the university would do such a thing if they really believed he abused his players. I believe it’s their way of apologizing to his family.
  19. The link has a paywall, so I can’t read it. However, My alma mater is a D2 school and they’ve had Australian punters the last 10 years or so. All from Prokick Australia which I assume is what the article is about.
  20. I think Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan will always have great offenses. I also expect Wisconsin and Nebraska to improve once Fickell and Ruhle get a few recruiting classes under their belts. All it takes is a great QB and a few playmakers. Look at what Russell Wilson did for a Brett Bielema coached team. Their offense put up some big numbers.
  21. Here’s my philosophy: When I pull my starters, I consider it a 0-0 game. This means my back-ups are going to try and score every time they get the ball.
  22. I wonder how much of DL’s defensive scheme was shown during this game. The defense looked pretty vanilla on the first couple of drives.
  23. If Oregon and Colorado are undefeated and ranked going into week 4 then we might have a shot at beating out Clemson/FSU for College Gameday. I’ll be pulling for LSU tonight, but I’m not sure FSU drops very far if they lose. I know ESPN will want to jump on the popularity of the “Coach Prime” storyline, so that may work in our favor. However, USC will be in Boulder the following week, so they may wait. Their only competition for Gameday in week 5 is LSU at Ole Miss.
  24. Cue the Colorado national championship talk from ESPN.
