Yep. I went to college an hour from there. Gotta love the “Ark-La-Tex” It’s a mix of Hogs, Tigers, Sooners, Aggies/Horns fans. Every one of them has a superiority complex. They hate the PAC 12 because USC and Oregon were making moves on their talent pool.

I usually don’t have a problem watching but I will flip back and forth to watch a better matchup if it’s on during the same time slot. This weekend I’m going to Williams-Brice to see the Gamecocks/Gators, but I’ll try to keep up with the Ducks on my phone. Every now and then I like to leave the house to see a live CFB game….and tailgate. I actually live closer to Chapel Hill and would love to see the Heels/Canes, but the UNC football atmosphere is akin to Cal and Stanford. It’s hard to believe that they are the same fans that fill the Dean Dome.

I think I learned to waterski at a young age at a lake near Oakridge. All I can remember is they had a cement beach/swim area that burned the heck out of your feet.

They’re pretty much doing what we’re doing here. Sitting around trashing their rivals to make themselves feel good about their situation. And both of us are in great situations. One will just be a little greater after Saturday. However, the chance of these two teams playing again in Vegas is pretty good.

The Texas fan thinks Washington is otherworldly since his team got killed by them in the Alamo Bowl. The reality is Texas was very average last year.

I think this guy fits his staff’s culture a little better.

I would hope they stay with the current format. An FCS, a G5 and a P5 opponent. I would like to see them stick with the former PAC 12 (now Big 12) teams as the P5 opponent. As a coach, I wouldn’t want to cross the Rocky Mountains for non-conference games. I sure as heck wouldn’t take my team to Atlanta again for a preseason kickoff classic. They can come out to Vegas or LA.

First things first. Mario never lost to Washington as HC at Oregon. He actually won a lot of big games and put a Rose Bowl trophy in the case. With that said, he never put teams away in big games. The 2018 Stanford game and 2019 Auburn game were one bad snap away from being blowouts, but we let them hang around and beat us in the end. However, he has the uncanny ability to win games he has no business winning. The 2018 Washington and 2021 Ohio State games come to mind. I would bet a good amount of money that he knocks off a big rival like a Florida State or UNC this year. He knows how to feed the beast. Unfortunately his style cost him a game last night. I didn’t know until today, but Miami has had the final possession in all of their wins this season and have never kneeled. They have always ran a running play.

Every season that Mario screws up like this the Ducks beat Washington in that same season.

Then he says, “I should have stepped in . . . and said take a knee there.” This is why he can’t keep a coordinator for more than two seasons. They’re not getting poached. They’re constantly searching for other jobs because they’re tired of getting thrown under the bus.
