  1. I stand by my assessment of his attitude toward coaching ethics. Kansas was 4 for 14 on layup attempts in the first half. If they make their high percentage shots they don’t have to come back.
  2. DAT had the ability to change direction without losing speed (se WSU TD in 2011). That’s what made him so difficult to defend. However, his burst from standing still to full speed was something to behold. His 91 yard TD against Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl is still a thing of beauty.
  3. Bill Self is another scumbag who can’t seem to follow the rules, so it’s a showdown between two schools with a rich history of fraud. The only coach in the Final Four with any ethics is Jay Wright. Maybe one day Altman and Few (Duck alumn) will make it back and return some class to the championship weekend. And yes, I know Mark Few has had his personal issues with his DWI. I still think he’s an ethical coach. Also, it’s well known about Coach K’s cheating, but Grant Hill came from a very prominent family. His parents could have afforded to buy him a very nice car. I can’t imagine his dad letting him accept a car for playing for Duke.
  4. Some say this Glaucoma guy refereed in the Super Bowl. Niners fans sure think so.
  5. He’s going to soil himself if he ever hooks into a sturgeon. He’s going to have to hit the lower Willamette for one of those, though.
  6. He’s actually doing a very “Western” thing. Fishing addiction is just as big a disease in Oregon as it is down South. The tug is the drug.
  7. It all depends on QB play. The Ducks have great WR’s, but if the QB has a habit of throwing to the other team then they may need to lean on the run.
  8. Oregon’s problem is getting too freaked out in clutch time. They always seem to play really good against great teams then falter at the end. Yes, I’m still salty about the Final Four game against UNC.
  9. I’m with you on this. I would’ve let Cota walk-on. That’s about it. He had his chances to prove himself at UCLA and was a below average player.
  10. I thought he had already played at Oregon and then for the Colts in the NFL.
  11. Nix is known for beating better teams in the home opener at a “neutral” site. Well, he’s done it once anyway.
  12. Where does Dye and Verdell fit in? They’re up there, but they couldn’t electrify Autzen like LMJ, KB, LGB, JJ or JStew could. I would probably put them 4th behind these guys and the Morris/Smith combo. BTW, Travis Dye shirts are selling on the Duck Store site at a steep discount. He’s even modeling them. I still don’t know how I feel about a Trojan modeling Duck gear. Even if his name is on it. Send the remaining shirts overseas with our 2022 Pac-12 Championship shirts.
  13. Then he scored the eventual game winner against Purdue on a 3rd and very long.
  14. He was underwhelming at best during his time in Westwood. I wouldn’t burn a scholarship on him. He could walk-on though.
  15. The ACC and the PAC have some bowl affiliations. A game with them could happen sooner than later.
  16. Speaking of transfers. What ever happened to Danny Mattingly? He left Eugene with eligibility and he never played football again.
  17. Always be on good terms with wealthy or influential alumni. Unlike the Gonzaga administration who thought it might be a good idea to suspend John Stockton’s season tickets. He’s worth 8 figures. Good luck getting a check from him when you need it.
  18. He was on the team that beat the Dolphins in Palo Alto. Marino’s only Super Bowl.
  19. Auburn is a complete mess and it all revolves around a guy named Bobby Lowder. He’s the one who pushed Gus out the door. Then, he tried to lure Mario away, but he got his new contract from Oregon so that fell through. It was speculated that if Oregon hadn’t replaced Washington in the Pac 12 championship game then Auburn may have had a shot. It’s obviously a moot point nowadays. If that isn’t enough, Lowder then tried to push his boy Kevin Steele for the Auburn job (some say Steele was also behind Gus’ firing), but that idea sent the fans into an uproar (#stopsteele). So, they hired Harsin who didn’t want Steele on his staff. Steele then went to Tennessee as DC for Pruitt which lasted 6 days. Pruitt was fired and Steele was named interim HC. The funny part is Gus goes to UCF to replace Heupel, who took the Tennessee job and promptly fired Steele. I’m surprised Mario hired Steele because he doesn’t have the best reputation. However, this whole fecal extravaganza was started by Bobby Lowder because Gus didn’t beat Saban enough times. The only other school with worse boosters is Texas. If they don’t at least go to the playoffs next year Sark will be fired. You can count on it.
  20. Yes. Willie hired him as DC in 2017. Mario had him in 2018 before he fired him.
