  1. I dont remember what game it was this year but NW played like an absolute beast. Hopefully he finds that gear again.
  2. George Wrighster has a good analysis of the IU/UO game and shows where Dante missed several WR's on one play several times throughout the game. He's not ready for the NFL and hopefully comes back for another season. He's the key to a win Friday night.
  3. FWIW Oregon was tied with IU around the 8:40 mark in the 4th qtr @20-20. There is hope that they learned something. Having played IU already in the reg season should make it easier to game plan for the busy OC and DC.
  4. Back in the day it was always like this on Jan 1st with all the bowl games. But back then it was both teams that had the time off which usually resulted in slow 1st half starts.
  5. Chip had more pros than cons and I'm not talking about players going Pro vs getting arrested while at Oregon. Can't say for sure but it seems to me that the Ducks would not be where we are right now had it not been for Chip. Chip was 1/8" away from a Natty win. Subsequent coaches built off what Chip started. Outside help from Nike and Duck media did the rest. CFB is an ever changing landscape where the hot thing of today is a thing of the past 3-4 years latter. I wish him well at NW but won't feel sorry for him when he gets his butt kicked by the Ducks.
  6. Not worried about the 9:am start. It's my understanding that they start practice at 9:am anyways. Schools out so travel shouldn't be an issue as far as needing to devote other time to studies. Don't know when they're arriving but you would think a few days before would be enough time to get used to some sunshine. These are 18-22+ year olds. Different energy level than most on here. I'm more worried about the focus from the OC and DC.
  7. When fortunate I saw names in the defensive backfield I've never seen before. Honestly I'm not that worried. The Ducks blew out JMU in the 1st half and for all intents and purposes would've piled on another 34 in the 2nd half with the starters if needed. The end result was never in question but fans like a blowout and didn't get one so now the sky's falling. Give JMU credit for keeping the pedal to the metal and not letting up. I doubt we'll see any kind of let down agaisnt TTU.
  8. Ole Missmatch/Tulane game. Thinking the UO/JMU game may look familiar.
  9. Hard game to watch. Both QB's kinda suck. Tough to root for either team.
  10. A chance to play in the semi's would make my season. Never expected to win it all or even have a shot for the finals so everything after TTU is icing on the cake.
  11. If Moore returns he's probably a #1 consensus for the Heisman. If the Ducks don't win the CFP this year I would think that it would be a personal challenge to him to return for unfinished goals. Seems to me the only thing is the $$$$$$ if he goes pro but that's always going to be there. Drew Allar came back for $$$ NIL money and unfinished business but that didn't turn out very good for him. Gotta think that same scenario is going through Moores head as well.
  12. Only Moore and Bryant Jr were participating per Crepea "Moore and Bryant each took reps on punt return while Stewart, who has been out all season, appeared to be limited while stretching and did not take any reps during the special teams period." Things could change of course. Still good news.
  13. Time to breakup traditional conferences and go to an NFL style conf/division format. No rankings, just win your games. Get the human factor out of it. Problem is how do you set it all up. That's probably a topic for another conversation. If it did happen then ND along with TX and BYU would be in. Going to 16 games just pushes the "Why is my team left out?" further down the list. College football at the FBS level has always been behind the times. Time to move forward.
  14. ND's 2026 schedule. Wonder why they get no respect. Only 3 road games.
  15. AL beat GA in GA. IMO that's what will get them in the CFP. Better SOC and SOR than ND or Miami.
  16. OSU would have the better loss. I think Tech would stay #4
  17. I would take Bama at Autzen. Then Tech.
  18. Wow how the Tides turned. Bama should be out with this performance with my eye test. Ducks a solid 5th.
  19. Lanning's made good hires and now all of a sudden he's blowing it? Agree. He's been spot on since he was hired as far as assistants goes. I fail to see how all of a sudden he's making two bad moves.
  20. My concern is if both Stein and Lupoi both leave and don't coach in the playoffs.
  21. OR should be #5 at a minimum after this Tue CFP rankings. If GA or TT lose next Sat then the Ducks move up to #4 and all the above is moot. Big question is can GA beat bama?
