  1. Diamond in the rough? Or pass like the Blazers did with Jordan? Dude looks like he has a huge upside. Just need to figure out the track thing.
  2. Ducks play the Beavis and UCS at Autzen this year. Away at UW and UT.. OOC looks 3-0. 1-2 losses seems possible for in conference. Not sold on a CFP invite yet. It seemed like zero QB pressure this year. That to me is the biggest need for improvement. Williams and Penix are going to give Oregon a tough time. If Rising returns and is healthy that's another tough game. Beaves just signed a decent mobile QB in Uiagalelei. Gotta be able to sack or pressure those QB's and have some lockdown CB's to have a chance.
  3. I'll root against. With the portal, NFL and coaches leaving I don't think anyone can put much stock in bowl wins and losses.
  4. Bowl games always seemed more for the players than fans. Most fans don't travel to bowl games so to me it's about the players hard work being rewarded. Yes the portal/opt out and coaches leaving has taken the luster out of bowl season. But many times the games are still be fun to watch. It's also important to remember that at the end of the year when the media tally's up the total W/L for each conference that it's probably all a moot point because too many teams are not at full strength. So if your teams conference sucked during bowl season take it with a grain of salt. I'm actually looking forward to the game. I guess that's what happens when you're addicted to Quack.
  5. I have no reason to feel good about our QB backup at this point. Doubt Card would sit a year when he could start somewhere. Novosad is untested so no upside vs Ty. There's still time for all this to sort itself out but as of now I don't think the ducks are in a good place if Bo gets hurt and misses playing time whether it's one qtr or a whole game.
  6. SoCal and sunshine. LA vibe. Warm beaches, unlimited night life. Hard to say what would sway an 18 year old from Detroit.
  7. Agree. Pure speculation at this point. This move by Moore does reek of prima donna though.
  8. Since Bo hasn't said either way if he's going or staying and since he's playing in the Bowl game that would lead one to believe he's staying. Looks like Moore wants to start next year and UCLA is a team that needs a new QB.
  9. I read a lot of forums relating to many different topics. This is by far the most civil of all. It's a joy to come on here and not have to wade through the political or bias viewpoints of a few that seem to take over some of the forums I'm on. Charles, I don't know how you do it but like everyone else here I'm very thankful for all your hard work to keep things civil.
  10. Bo's the starter period. I don't see Ty playing unless Bo gets hurt or the Ducks are up by 3 scores in the 4th. Bo got us to the Holiday so you dance with who you brought to the party.
  11. I looked at tickets but being it's a baseball field I wasn't sure how the view was in some sections.
  12. Should've been a big loss but unfortunately it's not. Kept waiting for his 5*'s to shine but they never did.
  13. If you're right about Bo then I guess everyone will finally get to see what Ty can do. Thats worth tuning in for (Maybe).
  14. Lanning blew it alright. Yeah he brought in Dilly who brought in Bo. What a terrible mistake that was. (Sarcasm) Lets face it it wouldn't of mattered who Oregon hired, even Saban or Harbaugh would've lost to GA in the opener. Take away that game and stick Pst or Montana St and the Ducks are 10-2. Last I saw there's probably 110-115 teams that wish they could be 10-2. And probably 100+/- that wish they were 9-3. Only 2 schools are undefeated in the FBS. MI and GA, both of which have veteran coaches with more experienced staff. Hard to compete against that. Yes losses hurt but I see nothing but upside moving forward for the Ducks.
  15. Will it be someone we've heard of or a mostly complete unknown?
  16. It was disappointing for me but not a total loss. GA was a no brainer loss before kickoff but had Oregon lost to UCLA and then to UW but beat the Beavis would that make anyone feel better? They'd still be 9-3. Should of lost to WSU but pulled a hat trick out at the end to sneak out a win. The fact that both conference losses were so close and that they are the two most hated rivalries has a lot to with making it seem like the season feels like a total loss. But IMO Oregon was exposed for who they were. A high powered offence with a mediocre defensive team with a new coach that got out in front of his skis at times and got out coached. Stuff happens. It's football. Can't wait for next year.
  17. Bandwagon fans? I remember the days when the Ducks would crack the top 25 only to drop out and not be back in after a loss the following week. The last 10-15 years have been amazing. "When expectations are not met, it can lead to feelings of disappointment, frustration, and even anger. In some cases, people might become so attached to their expectations that they are unable to see the reality of a situation."
  18. With Dilly's recruiting prowess and the transfer portal I think he does okay. Even if sanctions are in the cards being able to get experienced players immediately should help him fast track the program. Big question will he be able to handle being an HC? Does he flop at it or like Lanning just stumble a few times? I see the Ducks play ASU next year. That should be fun.
  19. At least he wouldn't be up for the next HC job opening.
  20. No idea on his past relationships but it will be interesting to see who calls the plays in the bowl game. I wonder if that might play into his decision?
