My guess is the viewership breakdown is something like this: 25% Duck fans, 25% MSU fans, 25% Duck curious football fans, 25% hate watching SUC fans.

They laughed at the Ducks for having to settle on an unproven D coordinator but now half their boards want to replace Riley with their currant D coordinator. Can't make this stuff up. Glad we don't have to!

How long until Beavis stops playing up a UO rivalry and start playing up being Oregon’s other team. I could see myself rooting for them or going to a game in that rooting for your kid in peewee ball type of way.

Awesome post Charles. Has Lanning secretly rebuild his Georgia D? Rewinding my memory back to the BSU game, the D actually came out of halftime firing on all cylinders. I think they got three consecutive three and outs. It was only when fumble fest happened that BSU woke back up for a 14-0 momentum change and bloat up the D stats in the wrong direction. Since then, only late game downs have been negative. The halftime scores have been looking rather UGA like the last three weeks. The progress of the O line makes me think of Godzilla slipping on a banana peal. We all have a good laugh while he falls on his butt but then he gets back up and continues stomping toward us. Don't think the BIG is laughing at our o line now. Line positions that were extreme question marks earlier are now getting great PFF grades. A good trend. My main concern is self inflicted momentum swings. Two fumbles on two consecutive series almost cost them the BSU game. Leaving 14 points on the one yard line against MSU makes this a concerning trend. We all know that the margin for error is much smaller than that in the big boy games. They seem to have cleaned up the penalty issue. Hopefully they get turnovers under control as well.

The SUC board today should be required viewing! Topics include SUC being 11-9 in last 20 games and being 2-6 in last 8 conference games and of course the reality of now being unranked. Coach Riley not being the guy also seems to be a reoccurring theme.

Nice post David. One amendment I'd make is that I think Miami's toughest opponent they'll face is Mario. He'll find an L that the ref's can't hide.

I'd say BSU losing on the road to No. 3 UO on the last play of the game looks better than Miami's seven minute review reversing a game losing TD and surviving Cal Couging it. I think what saves Mario's bacon in the polls this week is that everybody behind him 9-11 all lost badly. So far it looks to me like the ref's are doing the best prop up job for Mario I've seen since A Weekend at Bernie's.

The saddest part of conference realignment may be the breakup of Lee Corso and the Duck. They made such a great pair.

It almost seems like OBD has been doing just enough to create three score separation then rely on the D to keep the game in control. The way the offense almost takes a Marioesque vanilla approach to the rest of the game has me feeling that they want to save the dagger plays for another day. I think we may see an unlocked playbook next week and they pull the cover off and unveil the Stewart deep threat and a few other surprises. "It's third and twelve and wait a minute, forth sting QB Moga has entered the game at running back along side third string tide end Sadiq. What in the world is going on here?"

The best game in the new Pac Whatever looks to be #21 Boise St vs Utah St.

I think the biggest reason the Ducks have for constantly targeting Tez is that he is a legit threat to take it to the house on any given play. He is closest thing to DAT since DAT. Also, because of the constant TD threat he is, I think defenders are unsure on how to defend him. Do you play him tight and aggressive and risk fatal separation a route? Do you play him loose and allow him to catch an easy 5-10 yarder and have him YAC you to death? I love the near unsolvable problem he provides to the other team. Hope that problem remains unsolved next week.

When the new rankings come out, watch #9 Mizzo tumble all the way down to #10 as #24 ATM takes their place at #9.

Give Smith a couple years and MSU will be a problem. If the new BIG is going to be as legit as the new SEC, teams 4-8 they need to step up and be legit top 25ish teams. Iowa, Wisky, MSU and SUC are going to need to step it up or the SEC will continue to dominate the rankings then will dominate the playoff rankings then dominate the media deal numbers.
