"Lanning Rule" Just One in a Long Line of Gamesmanship rule Changes
They may call it fixing the Lanning loophole but to me it looks more like kissing the Buckeye buttocks.

Dan Lanning Has Arrived
When Nick Saban retired, less than 24 hours later the national story was “ Will Lanning be the next Bama coach?” Then 24 hours after that the national story was the epic Lanning video where he exclaimed “ The grass is damn green in Eugene!” Just after the epic victory over tOSU people were asking “Was that 12 man penalty intentional?”. Twenty four hours later it was “Lanning’s a genius!” Now it’s Lanning’s too smart for the rule book! Lanning’s ability to put himself and the UO in the national spotlight as ahead of the curve innovators is unparalleled. His in game coaching decisions are beginning to balance between river boat gambler and “Just take the points.”.His recruiting chops were already legend before he even got here. I’d say at this point, Lanning has arrived. The BIG and NCAA have both noticed and are scared. SUC is saying “We told you so.” Fuskie has given up saying anything at all. We are living in the glory days. What a wonderful time to be a Duck fan!

NCAA Closes the "Oregon Loophole", I Think Not.
At this point how many coaches on the brink of defeat are going to start contemplating "What would Lanning do?". A dodgeball kickoff and a rule technicality in the same game helped him take down the supposed team of the decade. I'm sure the recruits out there are paying close attention.

This Intentional Penalty is Next Level Coaching
Lanning is now living rent free in Beavis, fuskie SUC, Bucknuts and now NCAA's heads.

Best Ducks vs Them ... EVER
Great vid. Love were this season is going. I remember way back in the Idaho game when we failed to get a fourth and one. The progression of the team from then to last weekend has been amazing.

This Intentional Penalty is Next Level Coaching
I don't understand the unsportsmanship angle some people have taken on this play. OBD willingly took a penalty because they thought the out come would benefit them. How is that any different from a corner back intentionally committing pass interference to avoid a touch down or intentionally taking a delay of game penalty near the goal line to give your kicker a better angle for a field goal. What about when a lineman intentionally holds a defender that's about to obliterate the quarterback? Bottom line, if it benefits your team and increases your odds of winning you should do it. I would never condone a cheap shot or intentionally injuring someone but mere strategic in game decisions seems to be fair game to me.
