I've stated earlier how I feel about Heisman trophy winner Caleb Williams (see the post about Heisman Sham) I will give him credit, he is putting up video game numbers against 22nd ranked defense, Tulane. 10 minutes left in the 4th and he's at 418 yards with 5 TDs and I INT. Great numbers for sure....USCs defense on the other hand...

But it can't be just about the numbers...and what numbers are we going with? Williams had more 700 more yards than Duggan, but 700 less than Penix. Williams had 7 more TDs than Duggan, but less than Drake Maybe of UNC. And there were four other QBs who had better passing efficiency than Williams. Was Williams good this year? Yes, he had some good numbers. But to me, Duggan has demonstrated "great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work" (From the Heisman website) and has a TCU team in the championship. A TCU team that wasn't even ranked and had NO hype to start the year. My $0.02.

And that was after his team scored!! 😂

Watching TCU play Michigan. How Max Duggan did NOT win the Heisman over Caleb Williams is beyond me. The Heisman winner is sitting at home because his season is over and there is NO WAY you can tell me that he was more valuable to his team than Duggan. Sham of an award this year.

Sincerely thought we would be able to win more battles with our receiver talent against UNC's backup DB's. Doesn't even really seem like the play calling has tried to challenge them.

Prior to my pick, I have this statement to deliver to my fellow forum members: I have made predictions on games that I thought were going to be high-flying offensive shootouts and none of these games materialized. Instead, we endured defensive slugfests with offensive anemia. I have reached a conclusion that my predictions are the reason for this and as such, I sacrificing my pick to the volcano. This is being done so we "hopefully" may enjoy the bounty of offense we all hope to see. So, to appease the Deities of Offense, I make the following prediction: Oregon Wins 12 - 9 2 turnovers 5 sacks 121 yards passing If this turns out the way I THINK it will....you are welcome! 😂

My thoughts exactly...I think we all agree that football carries the majority of sports revenue, but can these schools be competitive in basketball, baseball, soccer, and even track. Yeah, I know that those sports are not going to draw the 45k+ fans that football does, but when I am going through football withdrawals and need some kind of sports contest to watch, I want it to be competitive...😂 And I would take in every away Duck game against UNLV just an excuse to go to Vegas!! "Sorry Hon, can't paint the house this weekend...the Ducks are playing UNLV in Vegas...yeah I know it's badminton but I still support em!!"

As a backup, DJ performed very well when Trevor Lawrence was unavailable for a few games. His performance as a starter was not nearly as good. I don't know that he would transfer to be a backup to Bo, because he ABSOLUTELY won't take the starting job from Bo. NOW, DJ has 3, yes 3 years of eligibility remaining....I would be okay with him coming in as a backup and possibly taking over if our young guys aren't ready when Bo leaves....but I would want "Backup To Trevor Lawrence DJ" and not "Starter At Clemson DJ"! He would be a great addition to OSU, and if the change of scenery does what it did for Bo....well OSU is a dangerous team Who knows what happened in his mindset...it must have been hard to take over for the #1 NFL pick and have people expect a "plug n play" response.
