I was just about to say something similar. At that 1989 game, I think it took about 3 days to thaw out the coconuts. While it was miserable weather, I also have exceptionally fond memories as well. Although it took many more years, it was a turning point for our program... pre Uncle Phil. And I could not be more thankful knowing that we will never ever return to that bowl again. But we will leave an annual reservation there for the Huskies... because we're just that kind and nice.

100% agree. Both teams appeared to carry themselves with a level of pride, absolute competitiveness, and in the end, respectability. After watching that OSU - UM nightmare, I appreciate your post even more.

Let's face facts... OSU was undone after visiting 'That Team Out West.' Oregon pretty much broke them.

I believe this is what's known as the "Big 10 Triple Crown." 😉

Considering how poorly we played for much of those last 25 seconds, it's really incredible that we came away with the win. It says a lot about how much talent and grit is on this team.

I'm so grateful for this resounding win and to see our offense join our defense, and just light it up.

10-2 ASU destroys Arizona 49-7 in Tucson and punches their ticket to the Big12 championship. ASU had basically been a dumpster fire for decades before Dilly arrived just over a year ago. It's pretty amazing what he has accomplished. I will always be grateful for him recruiting Bo Nix to Oregon.

I'll be honest, I did not predict the Duck defense would get 10 sacks tonight.

In the last 8 games, we've scored 1 TD in the 3rd quarter. I'd like to see that change tonight.

Washington might essentially become a farm club for a lot of good programs.

Well... looks like our offense kicked it into gear. And with 5:01 to go, let's score again before the half. With our outstanding defense, it's definitely possible.
