Oregon GameDay Thread versus Michigan: Join Us!
I wish I could believe that, but I don't.

Boise State Alert: Friday GameDay Discussions!
GO BSU! But if there is one thing that I can come up with to hate about college football, it's that horrific Smurf turf.

Is Oregon Becoming The Villain?
Excellent article. For all the reasons that Breiler mentioned, Michigan has got to be extremely highly motivated to play us. And after winning the NC last year, there also must be a lot of pride on the line as well. Nevertheless, they're about to get their butt's kicked starting in less than 24 hours.

OBD Prediction Contest vs. Michigan: Join the Fun!
Interesting that so far, nearly half of us have Michigan scoring 13 points. Obviously, those of us who picked UM & 13 points are the geniuses among us. 😉

OBD Prediction Contest vs. Michigan: Join the Fun!
More than once, Dennis Dixon was like Houdini in that game. His slight of hand was jaw dropping, so much so that even NBC couldn't find the ball on multiple occasions.

You'll Never Guess Which Uniform Michigan is Wearing for the Oregon Game!
"On the field, it will represent a battle between blue-collar physicality, steeped in tradition, opposing a new-age style of speed and excitement" Lets hope that this is actually all the Michigan team thinks the Ducks bring to the table. If it is, UM has got a huge shock-n-awe moment about to drop on their heads. Or, more likely, it's just this writer who is clueless and stuck in our Chip Kelly era (which was an awesome era... but this era, IMHO, is so much better).

What Day is Travel Day for Ducks to Ann Arbor?
I'm beting that our guys somehow survive that 3.5 hour, non-stop, tasty peanuts provided, flight to Ann Arbor.

For Anybody Traveling to the Big House ..
Someone once said, "It never snows at Camp Randall Stadium."

What Day is Travel Day for Ducks to Ann Arbor?
Exactly. It's a 3.5 hour flight on a reasonably comfortable charter flight. It's not like they are traveling across country by wagon train. They will be eating very well and staying in very nice accommodations. And, they will likely be in Michigan slightly longer than 48 hours. Meaning, they are absolutely not going to attempt to adjust to the 3-hour time difference, because there is no need to. They can pretty much stay on their West Coast clock. I may be missing something, but done right, I don't see the travel as a big deal.

Penn State No.1 if They Beat Ohio State
100%. That article make about zero sense.

For Anybody Traveling to the Big House ..
We had planned on going, but then some life-stuff happened instead. I will say that if you get a chance to go to the Wisconsin game, do it. I went with a couple of friends in 2000 when Joey was our QB and we had a great time. However, it was early September and the weather was amazing. Certainly, mid-November might be a very different story. But Wisconsin puts on a great game, the stadium is excellent, and their fans were a lot of fun.

Oregon and Its 14 Transfer Starters Just Beginning to "Jell"
I thought this was a pretty good article posted today on ESPN. I think it speaks volumes regarding our coaching staff and their ability to gel all of these new players in such a short period of time. And it seems clear that we are just beginning to 'jell.' I think we're in about the equivalent of 3rd gear in a 6-speed, ultra-performance, transmission. Oregon and its 14 transfer starters just beginning to 'jell' - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM The Ducks are one of only three teams whose receiving corp is made up entirely of transfers, but that's not the only position dominated by the portal.

Oregon Poised to Flip Washington TE Commit
Good call... I was thinking it was 1981. Admittedly, the years are kinda blurring together a bit these days 😉 But perhaps, one day, they could win their very own national championship... NOT!

Charles's Chuckles: You Gotta Have a Laugh Sometimes...
Lol... there just so many of those dog-gone hills and buttes in Eugene (I remember some great winter sledding on some of them... that was about back when dino's still roamed the earth), etc. I'm betting that if we averaged the number of Eugene square miles, with the various elevations, your 420 ft average would be spot on... Not to get too far off topic 😄
-
Oregon Poised to Flip Washington TE Commit
Well, maybe someday the Huskies win one... NOT! And don't tell me about that crap shared title garbage with BYU nearly a half century ago.

The ALWAYS Gracious Mario Cristobal Announces to the Sunshine State...
That's quite the statement from the Miami 6-2 head coach. And way to alienate about 70% of your state.

Gabriel Now the Favorite to Win the Heisman
Well... I say it's about time as we haven't had a Duck Hawaiian QB win the Heisman for 10 years!

Gabriel Now the Favorite to Win the Heisman
Well, obviously you're talking evil here, but I'm afraid I have to agree with you.

B1G Officiating: Three Blown Calls in ONE Game?
This one was just beyond egregious. Jaw droppingly horrendous. How in the world do they 'un-call' that penalty? The only possibly silver lining is that they appear to equally suck profusely on both sides of the ball.

Charles's Chuckles: You Gotta Have a Laugh Sometimes...
That's what I was kind of thinking... maybe they saw the snow-capped Cascades in the distance and they felt like they were at 10,000 ft, and their bodies followed. I'm seriously hoping that this guy was trying to be funny.
-
Charles's Chuckles: You Gotta Have a Laugh Sometimes...
Tell me that comment isn't real, or that the guy was joking. If I recall, Eugene sits at around a whopping 500-ish ft. I bet Urbana has a higher elevation than that.

Oregon's SURPRISE B1G Tour Continues...
Nahhh... I'm not buying that for a minute. If you look at the five games they played prior to Oregon, OSU throttled every one of them by an average margin of 39 points. And after losing to Oregon, they had a bye week. You know they had to have wanted to make a turnaround statement yesterday --- at home, no less. Nope... and as I said earlier, I'm afraid OBD, and OBD fans, simply 'broke' poor ol OSU. 😁

Whoa Baby! The Prediction Contest Winner Was SO-CLOSE!
Agreed, and I admittedly got frustrated late in the 3rd Q with our offensive play calling, and even substitutions. However, then I remembered that, calendar wise, we are likely not even halfway through what could/should be a very long season. Not only do we need to preserve our studs as much as possible, but what a luxury it is for us to be able to get many other guys some significant PT. It's also a luxury not to have to open up our entire playbook this early as well. And to get out studs some break time just before we head to Michigan is huge. Finally, I remembered that we no longer live in a CFB world that requires asinine 'style points.' So, 38-9 is more than enough. As hard as it is for me to admit, I'm coming to realize that Lanning & Co might just know a little bit more about this coaching stuff than I do... maybe. 🤪😆

Should Noah Whittington Switch to Receiver?
David - Im thinking that the kid read your article 😆. He averaged 8 ypc yesterday, and looked great doing it. However, I also think your observations are very spot on. And finally, that kid is one tough bugger!
