  1. Hope they enjoy the rust that they will likely carry into their first game.
  2. Wowzaa... I didn't realize that. And they're going to have a tough time of it for a lot more years.
  3. LOL... Apparently, I was thinking they were flying in from Honolulu 😅😜🥴 Obviously, I am time zone challenged. Which is really embarrassing because in my day job, I work with people all over the US in four different time zones. It might be time for me to have a little afternoon coffee.
  4. In looking at Alabama's strength of schedule and the teams they lost to, versus Notre Dame's pancake Sisters of the Poor schedule... If Alabama had at least and kept the game close -- say within 7 points, and had not received an absolute total beatdown from Georgia on Saturday, I could see them being selected over Notre Dame. But not after Alabama was totally body slammed by Georgia, in a game that Alabama really believed that, at a minimum, they needed to keep close to earn a spot in the playoffs. But perhaps the Fighting Irish are learning that scheduling these cupcake opponents for almost the entire season, is not doing them any favors. And maybe they will decide to grow a pair and join an actual conference.
  5. Their body clocks will be playing at 1:30 p.m. The time zone change could have some impact, but I think it will be fairly minimal.
  6. The Autzen crowd is also going to rock the Dukes. They have not played in a stadium anything remotely like what they're going to experience Eugene. I think the crowd could be worth 7 points in this game.
  7. Also, perhaps it's time that Notre Dame grow a pair and join a real conference.
  8. I was about to say the same thing. There's not a chance in hell that he made this decision in a vacuum. Clearly, he had full support and direction of the administration as well.
  9. Or, at a minimum, be radically altered.
  10. In Lanning, I Trust. That is all.
  11. There is significant drop-off between a Stewart and our studs that we had out there today. No disrespect whatsoever intended toward our receivers who did amazing job today. But guys like Stewart, or a Tez Johnson, simply play at a different NFL, semi-gawd-like, type level. With that being said, McClellan was just sick out there today. And that play where he used his head to catch the ball, was absolutely a catch, and absolutely insane. So you say that Sadiq was not at his best today... no problem -- we've got other studs that we can share the love with. It just speaks to our incredible depth. It was great to see so many guys on the receiving end today step up in a huge way.
  12. Sappington... my game MVP. That dude was absolutely 100% nails yesterday. I think it was on that 51 yard kick of his that the snap was quite high. The holder did a phenomenal job of catching it and bringing it down, and cleanly placing it. But that seemingly little error in the long snap, completely throws off a kicker's timing. But Sappington was just one amazingly cool cucumber today. Every one of his kicks was dead balls center through the uprights. The kid was in the zone.
  13. The Huskies shut down our rushing game today. The Husky defense against our run game was very impressive. So, what does Oregon do? We go to the air and Dante throws for nearly 300 yards without a single pick, while also running the ball a few critical times. All without our stud receivers. It's really quite amazing. That's what is so beautiful about our offense. If the running game is not there, we have the line that blocks and the quarterback who can take us to victory through the air. If the passing game is not there, we have a running game that can take us to victory. The balance is absolutely exceptional. We will take what they give us. Sometimes it will be a balanced attack. And sometimes not. But the great news is that we have exceptional options either way.
  14. That's pretty amazing. Nothing wrong with an 87% winning record. And certainly nothing wrong with an 11-1 regular season record. Thank you, Coach Lanning. And thanks again for that time out you called in the first half that led directly to 7 points.
  15. That Lanning timeout was worth about 7 points. Thanks Coach.
  16. I would like to see him run it when he has that kind of an opportunity. He's really good at avoiding the big hits and taking the slide.
  17. Yikes... could easily be 2 picks on Dante. Hopefully he settles down a little bit. He rarely misses wide open receivers like he did on that last one.
  18. No more sacks. I only predicted two. 😅
  19. Frankly, those NFL analyst guys don't know much about QBs. Dante absolutely 100% needs one more season at Oregon, and then he will be 100% ready for the NFL. I'm just looking out for the kids best interest here 😉
  20. But I sure like having these feeder programs available for us. It reminds me a bit of having Minor Baseball League clubs, but being able to poach the talent at will.
  21. Cold, my friend. Just ice cold. LOL
  22. Here's all I really care to know about Chip: 46-7 as Oregon Head Coach. 87% Winning Record - As of now, an all time Oregon % record - Though Lanning is right on his heels at 86%. 4 Straight BCS Games 3 PAC12 Conference Championships 1 National Championship Game Chip may have been in the right place at the right time, but I will always greatly appreciate how he chose to look wayyy outside the traditional college football box, because in order to have major success at Oregon at that time, he had to. In those 4 short years, Kelly rocked not only Oregon, but college football. Do I care that he has mostly sucked since leaving Oregon? Not really. I will be forever grateful for the ride he took us on, and for nearly coaching us into winning the National Championship.
