  1. I hope Noah had enough bedrest the last 2 nights to be close to 100% Who are the bandwagon fans?
  2. Phil & I deserve the trophy.
  3. 'Fully committed' Demond Williams Jr. to stay at Washington https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/47554312/demond-williams-jr-transfer-stay-washington Williams doesn't seem flaky at all 😆
  4. For 3 straight years in college football, the title will be won by the Big 10. Michigan - Ohio State - and now, Oregon (oh please, oh please, oh please). "Through 14 games, the Ducks have been successful 14 times on 30 fourth-down attempts. In contrast, Indiana has converted eight of 16 attempts through 14 games." What impresses me most about Indiana's 4th down numbers is that they only had to go for it -- or chose to go for it, on 4th down 16 times. Having to live, or rely, on 4th downs to survive is very risky business.
  5. Great article. Reminds me a little bit of Moneyball, except now, Indiana also has the money... but they didn't when Cignetti arrived. "In 15 years as a head coach, he has never once signed a five-star recruit." That's just incredible. I'm expecting Our Beloved Ducks to win tonight. "I hate losing, I hate it. I hate losing more than I even wanna win." - Billy Beane, Moneyball But if the absolutely unacceptable happened and I had to lose to somebody, I'm afraid to say that my only acceptable choice would be Indiana. It's just too good of a story. 10-1 Michael Lewis is already writing Moneyball - Part II (or Hoosiers Part II). But damn... after 52 years of loving our Ducks, I want this game so bad that I'm semi-afraid to watch the game tonight.
  6. Given that we're going to make it to national championship game, does anybody know if he can stick around for that one too? I just can't imagine getting that far and walking away. However, money is a powerful and motivating tool.
  7. We live in weird college football times.
  8. I remember a few years back at the dawn of NIL, and some of the predictions we were all making about how potentially crazy it could/would get. Well... it's way worse than the predictions I remember.
  9. Good night... I shudder to think where our program would be without Phil & Penny Knight.
  10. Oregon finally plays four excellent quarters on both sides of the ball. OBD 34 - 28 1 2 271
  11. I hate to say it, but that grieving-loser UW fan is somewhat right.
  12. The Huskies remind me a bit of Nebraska. They once played some pretty good football, in a land far, far, away.
  13. Can this be the time of the Duck? Sure. Absolutely. If Oregon can put together four solid quarters on both sides of the ball, we win the game. It's that simple. But, while very doable... that is a big "if."
  14. I'd like a requirement for "winningest head coach" of 4 years, and as head coach at the same school. I wasn't sure we'd ever have another Oregon coach with a good shot of exceeding Chip Kelly's 4 year winning record of 86.8%. But Lanning is certainly going for it. After 3 years, 87.3% is just crazy nuts.
  15. Props to Indiana for breaking the curse of the bye. And breaking it in style.
  16. Well... the clown certainly got the clicks he was looking for.
  17. Well... I don't think Indiana's defense is going to be any easier than TT's. Next game, if our offense doesn't show up, we'll be headed home.
  18. Somebody needs to break the so-far 0-6 playoff 'Bye' curse. Perhaps it will be Indiana.
