Desert Duck

There's now no doubt in my mind that the CFP committee would have 100% screwed Oregon over. I think all the evidence we need to see is Liberty & the VRBO Bowl. That tells me exactly what the CFP committe actually thinks of our Ducks.

Liberty was my second choice... right after just about anyone else. And now we know what the powers that be in college football actually think of OBD.

There's no freaking chance of 'repairing' this sports travesty.

No way... and this is further evidenced by one acronym and three words - VRBO Bowl & Liberty. The VRBO Bowl v Liberty could not be better evidence of how little the College Football Playoff committee thinks of OBD.

The only good to come from playing in this crap Bowl, is that the team gets a few more weeks of football. For the young guys, that's really valuable. But as I said, we live 40 minutes from Glendale stadium, and I won't waste the gas to go to this thing... and I can get comp'd tickets. Opting to go for a lovely New Year's Day hike instead.

Wow... this is amazing because I was so hoping that we'd get to play mighty Liberty in the VRBO Bowl. Between this, and FSU getting utterly screwed, this is just more evidence showing what a pathetic joke CFB can be.

Absolutely one of the biggest screw jobs in college football history. What a sports travesty.

I'm going to opt for a nice New Years Day hike instead. Oregon's bowl selection, & FSU getting screwed, are two more ideal pieces of evidence showing why college football is often a disgusting joke.

Honestly, I don't even care. For me, after 50 years of this, it was CFP or nothing.

Just par for the course. Lots of excitement and talk. But in the end, that's always about it.

Commitment... I today's world, I think the right term should 'Verbitment' -- as in verbal commitment. As in slightly more than meaningless.

- No PAC-12 Championship - No College football playoff - No Heisman Not my favorite Friday evening.

But we're the only team to lose to them twice this year, and go 0-3 to them over the last 12 months. That's gotta be some kind of evil record.

You can spot Stanford the first 20 minutes of a game, but not the Huskies. The Huskies clearly own the Ducks.

Which Penix? The one who consistently kicks our butt.

And onside kick with 2:14 to go and 3 TOs? What the hell. What's next? The Alamo Bowl? Oh well... at least it was an entertaining season. See you all next Fall.

The Huskies suck. All they do is win and beat Duck football teams.

It's tough to win a game when you don't show up for the first1 & 1/2 quarters. But unbelievably, we are somehow in this thing.

The refs are actually calling it pretty well and letting them play.

Actually, that looked like great D. But thankfully, we got bailed out.

Anyone still wondering if Penix will play okay tonight?

It looks like us fans weren't the only ones to buy the hype. Sadly, apparently our football team did as well.

Once again, I drank the Duck kool-aid. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me 30 times, and clearly, I'm a moron.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think the Ducks look very good.
