Of course I read the article, that's why I commented...and I agree with Charles. I've posted several times about what many of us call "cute" plays...and early in the season and against easier opponents, they worked better. It could also be like Chip's funky 2 point conversions...they worked sometimes, then opponents caught on. BUT...opponents then had to waste time in practice that week on Oregon's funky 2 point conversions. The onside kick against sUCLA was another one. The mutts were ready, but may have had to waste time in practice that week. But it paid off unfortunately for us. They have a place and keeps opponents on their toes. Just don't over-use them and go 0-3 like we did against the Utes. GO DUCKS, quiet down taco stadium early and often

The bark ratts seem to run lots of reverses and semi-trick plays. Hopefully our D is ready, and for our offense...quit doing the "cute" plays and do our thing...we can put up 600 yds on the rodents in their woodpile. Bo doesn't need to run much to make it happen

Mic I'm not saying winning this week is "likely" but IF we win this week, the Rose Bowl is likely. We beat USuC it's ROSE BOWL! We lost to USuC and they go to the playoff, and the next best team for the Rose Bowl pick is likely OREGON. Win THIS week, and the Rose Bowl is a likely possiblity

Or...that being our last Autzen game until the spring game...but yes planning on NFL, but he already has to know what beating the bark rats means...he'll be out there this Saturday, and hopefully in Vegas the following week...and win in Cowvallis over the ag school, and Rose Bowl is highly likely. ROSE BOWL. He ain't bowing out of that, injury risk or not, he's a fighter!!!

David Marsh and cartm25 I think you are on to something...3 DC's is not easy for kids in 3 years, but...we don't have the load of 5 star kids Georgia had that could create pressure with just a 4 man rush and hold up in the back 7. We have some stars and they've proven themselves (Noah, Gonzales) but the D-line is not at the level of the GA, AL, tOSU, Clemson types. Yet. I think the offense will be ok, just need to get those big time D recruits. The next 3 games, 4 if we can figure this out...we need to find a way to create pressure. 4 man rush cover 2 isn't getting it done against good teams. The next 2-3 games will be really good teams!

If he's gone this year due to injury (think Dennis Dixon) then we're looking at 8-5.
