  1. AB couldn't process fast enough so was late with the throws and had accuracy problems throwing downfield. Bo appears to be much more accurate and sees the field much better. If your quarterback can process the data and has just a decent arm he can succeed in college. He does have the tendency to just fling it once it awhile to try and make things happen, a little of that Brett Favre mentality. If he can control that tendency he can be damn good. If not he still will be pretty decent and certainly exciting. The other thing he does well is scramble. He's really good at making you miss and buying time I went back and watched some of his highlights and he almost reminded a little of Johnny Manziel when he was scrambling. He was always just a finger away from being tackled but somehow managed to escape. Looking forward to seeing what our offensive production looks like with Bo at the helm. Would love to make it to the CFP but just give me some exciting offensive football. That's what duck football is supposed to be.
  2. I'm with you Charles I was thinking 10.5 points for the over under.
  3. Every time I see those blue uniforms I think I'm watching the Cal bears. No thank you!! And those beaver bra uniforms are just embarrassing! That's like your mom making you wear something horendous to school when your little that you know everyone is going to make fun of.
  4. Love most of the different uniform options and colors we have used over the years. Definitely NOT a traditionalist. That one is really cool looking. Kids today are less wedded to the traditional colors more into what looks the best. Can we please retire the pink uniforms, good cause but gawd that was ugly!
  5. Loved both Kenjon and LaMichael. Both were just outstanding college running backs. Hoping one of our incoming backs can be just close to as good to as either of these guys.
  6. As usual USC is OVERRATED!!!! Hope it goes to their heads.
  7. That's a pretty loaded bunch! Take them over to the US track & field Championships going on at Hayward field that weekend!
  8. That was a little over the top with Kris Hutson. I understand the urgency to let him know that his behavior was unacceptable, but didn't need to embarrass himself and Hutson on national tv. Could have just gave him a quick talking to without throwing a temper tantrum. That was a painful growing lesson for Kris and I'm sure he will not do that again. Not our problem anymore though.
  9. Nick always has a plan. Since this was a booster event I think the message was targeted at the boosters. Simply "if we want to stay on top we have to complete with the likes of A&M when it comes to NIL, so get ready to pony up!" Saban never accused A&M of doing anything illegal, in a way it was a compliment to A&M. You (A&M) got out in front on NIL and used it to buy, (I mean recruit ) the best class ever. Jimbo's overreaction just made me think wonder maybe there is something to this. Thought it was pretty pathetic actually.
  10. Daughter attends the U of O right now. Went and visited her last year got to see Hayward, at least the track, field event area, and the stadium. Absolutely phenomenal! I hope Lanning and co. are really pushing that as that facility is just beyond belief. The US Outdoor Track & Field Championships are the 23rd - 26th of June. That is a big recruiting weekend hope Coaches are thinking of taking the recruits over to check it out. Great tool for our speed guys!
  11. I liked Tyler. like everyone else here I believe the previous coaching staff didn't do him any favors in the play calling or development. wish him the best. the hope is that this offensive staff can take a guy like Ty or Butters and give them the knowledge and playing time so that they take the next step. Tyler really never had much of a chance here.
  12. From his film, even if he is covered he just makes the catch. From reading and listening it sounds like he is due for a pretty significant bump upwards in his ratings. He could be our no 1 receiver in a couple years. Can't wait to see him in green and yellow or black, or grey, or white whatever colors we are wearing that week.
  13. Would love to just travel one year and go to football games /weekends at all the great college football game day environments around the country. Mainly in the south, but would also like to see Clemson, Ohio State, probably Michigan, Notre Dame, and maybe Penn State besides. That would mean I would be pretty inebriated for a couple months, but a sacrifice I'm ready and willing to make.
  14. Always loved the early corvettes! Got to be a convertible.
  15. If you are a track & field fan this is a great time of year. And all these events at one of the best venues in the world. Hope the ducks can make some noise!
  16. Totally agree SC is definitely on par with the SEC. Hello Vanderbilt!
  17. Wow a lot of really interesting options presented. In the near future I would prefer no divisions, two best teams play for the championship. Rivalry opponents (like Washington & Oregon state) play every year. 8 conference games, a patsy in the middle of the season just to rest and recover (sound familiar?). Down the road, not sure as I'm still not completely convinced the Pac-12 survives. If it does, Pods maybe? Not sure who we could add to enhance the conference? Not to drag up an old topic but it should have been Texas teams that would have brought a lot more options. Oh and not saying Oregon State is still a real rivalry just feel we got to play our little brother. Otherwise they might throw a tantrum.
  18. Nice post Jester! Had me chuckling all the way through! MC is a dynamic recruiter, pretty average coach, less than average in game coach. We all saw this play out at Oregon. But with the recruits he is going to get he sets the floor much higher than where Miami is currently. You can expect 8-10 win seasons and good bowl games under Mario with the upgraded talent. That's not a bad place to be but it ain't championship football. How long will Miami tolerate 8-10 wins? The one caveat to this is did Mario learn from his experiences at Oregon? Can he keep his hands off the offensive and defensive schemes? It was his biggest fault at Oregon; he would hire a good coordinator and then not let him operate the offense and defense the way they wanted to. He kept losing coordinators and at the time it seemed like they were leaving to get better jobs but looking back on it now I think they were all leaving to get away from Mario and his micromanaging. He is a recovering micromanager and until he can cure himself of this and let his coaches do their job his ceiling as a head coach is limited. Wishing you guys luck in South beach.
  19. Nothing new to see here. More overhype by SC fans and media. Happens every year about this time. SC should be quite a bit better than last year but College Football National Champions!?!? HAHAHAHAHA. Just stop!
  20. My brain says 9-3 as I expect a massive improvement in special teams which will give us 1 extra win to get to 9-3. My heart says 10-2 with a loss to Georgia and one other team.
  21. So they buy the house for $750,000 and get a 667% return on investment? Not bad! I think I might go look for a house on a golf course.
