  1. It all depends on who is hired as assistant coaches. I’m going to say whoever can get the best staff
  2. Coaches that hire poor coordinators needs to be a dealbreaker
  3. No problem, that’s why I asked. I just needed clarification, no offense taken
  4. Yes, MC was a duck and I am glad he was here.
  5. look, I get the law. I don’t get what you are trying to say by bringing it up. Because it’s a pretty big insult to the coach, yeah you are the minority interview. Looking at his record I highly doubt race had anything to do with it.
  6. Would you explain your last comment, I don’t understand.
  7. … and an awful DC. I think we all under appreciated Nick
  8. I typically don’t watch Alabama football and the last guy who told us that we were going to be the Alabama of the west implemented a slow offense. My initial point is I want an Oregon brand that is Oregon. We should bring in an innovator instead of copying.
  9. These guys are great Ducks, it’s time mullens gets the right coach so they can soar!
  10. Absolutely! Put joy and excitement back in the game! I don’t want to be Bama, I want us to be Oregon fast and win the day.
  11. 1.Culture 2.Practices and game prep (pre game management) 3.x and o’s ( in game management) 4.recruiter (HR management) 5. loyalty
  12. True, I think this situation makes MC look a lot worse than he is. This is a perfect storm of moments that has the fan base really angry. The Utah game, Moorhead leaving, the team quitting, an offense that is watchable 2/ year, distractions all year of poaching the head coach, and now he is leaving during recruiting and before the bowl game. Yeah- it looks bad and will certainly hurt his brand. However, if MC leaves it will because he wants to be close to family. You can’t blame a guy for wanting to do that. However, if MC stays with a pay increase, I want a much better offense, a team that has a killer instinct on ever play, and I never ever ever want to hear that we need to play “tougher”
  13. I am pretty angry about the prevent offense and have been for awhile now. Before yesterday my dream was for MC to fix the offense and stay. MC is probably leaving more due wanting to be by family during a pandemic than the 8 million. He could have gotten that here. I can’t blame him for that. I also can’t blame him for not having his head in the game during Utah when his mom was sick and his OC was leaving. what I am upset is how he is leaving the Oregon team and the destruction of the Oregon offense.
  14. I think that is harsh. If he came out and said “Covid made me realize that I need to be close to my mother and I will take Miami’s gads of money to coach there” I wouldn’t have a problem. But there has been too much drama in the last season and it really soured me on him
  15. Oregon was in free fall when MC took over. He did turn the program around and showed that you can recruit to Oregon. So excuses of “you can’t recruit to Oregon” shouldn’t be tolerated in the future. That is invaluable information that can take our program to the next level with the right coach.
  16. Just yank his extension tonight and Miami will have to buy him out
  17. Considering how poorly the Utah game was played MC might have already lost the locker room. He may have lost the locker room before the championship game.
  18. Mullens should have had a plan when USC and Florida were targeting Cristobal. If he doesn’t that is a major failing by him. After Taggart he should have seen this coming a mile away.
  19. With the cutthroat business of college football, the AD should have had a plan for this eventuality. Mario is leaving and it’s a question of when. Further, when every coaching job came open whether it was Miami, USC, ect, Mario didn’t deny that he was leaving and it has become a distraction from the game.
  20. Mario wouldn’t want to risk TT if TT is following him to Miami.
  21. Not at all, because we all want him, his athletes, and the program to be elite. I look at the duck players and see special individual athletes. I fully do not believe that our players are reaching their full potential. And I believe that the problems come from issues revolving around culture, strategy, and practices. These are head coach issues. the good news is all of these issues can be measured, analyzed, and corrected. The intangibles that makes a coach special and can’t be developed, MC has down pat.
  22. I’m not sold that it will really matter. What brilliant offensive mind wants to come to Oregon where you will call “run it up the middle” 90% of the time in game and focus primarily on recruiting out of the game. Instead of looking for a great in-game caller, he should look to a great salesperson.
  23. No, especially since our ppg has been regressing since Mr. Cristobal took over. I would like to see more points, more preparedness, and a focus away from toughness. The Ducks players and coaches have amazing potential for the future, I’m talking cfb champions, but not with ppg and ppg allowed trends that are occurring now.
  24. I think USC has a better chance at getting Mike Riley than Lincoln Riley…
