Bummer! This team will miss his energy level for sure. That being said, Bittle fits Altman's style of play much better than Kepnang if he can make a decent jump in the offseason. As the poster above noted, I wish Altman would have stuck with Bittle more and let him work through some things. But I know that it is a difficult coaching decision to let a player learn lessons on the floor when you are consistently in very close games and sitting on the bubble all year. Mistakes are amplified and one or two can cost you a shot at an NCAA tourney bid, which is exactly what happened in the early Stanford and ASU games. I think this is why he was riding the veterans a little more this season.

I honestly think it has already turned the corner. The SEC and BIG have money to spend, so the talent gap with the other conferences will continue to grow as NIL deals progress. As someone else pointed out on here a while ago, (and I agree) in 5 years or so we will see a top division break out consisting of 30 or so teams that separate from the rest of the pack. Most of the them will be BIG and SEC teams. USC is probably the only school in the Pac-12 that is locked in being a part of that group.

There has been little to no discussion because I think everyone has assumed he is all Miami.
